We really enjoyed our stay. The owner, who was very helpful, met us as arranged, showed us around and told us about the local facilities. The apartment has everything one could want, is spacious and is in excellent condition. We liked the large balcony with sea views. It was also very quiet, being at the top of the block. There is a food shop about 100 metres away which had excellent fruit and vegetables and met all our food needs, and which seemed to have very long opening hours - we never found it closed. There are several restauarants very close by, one with a take away service. There are regular buses to and from Funchal. We used the bus system for three of our days there and hired a car for the other three which made going further afield easier. Higly recommended.

Many positives staying here Very nice apartment and well equipped Very clean Liked the coffee making options Because we were there in winter it was a little cool at times but owners provided a heater which was much appreciated Owners/Peter were very responsive when we had questions Great spot to visit the rest of the island as the main highway was easy to access if you are renting a car We were out on the road quite a bit exploring various towns and villages and walking many of the wonderful levadas Bus service into Funchal was very close and easy to use if you didn't want to drive into the city and you can stay here comfortably without a car There were several restaurants close by that were good The Ravioli was our go-to place for morning coffee and a tart We stayed for about one month In hindsight I would probably have split some of that time between Garagua and Funchal, which we thought was a wonderful city One negative was the barking dogs in the neighboring hosues, even if that is out of the control of the owners of the apartment Overall, a nice place to rental

We have only just arrived back after a wonderful holiday in Garajau. The apartment was first class and had everything you could wish for. Peter answered questions promptly and even arranged our taxi transfers. We will return to Madeira next year as we fell in love with the island and very friendly people.

We hired a car to see the island motorway very easy to drive on abit hilly when on minor roads visit to Monte with a tabbogan run is a must very reasonable to eat out ,the apartment was excellent the agent peter was excellent gave us directions from airport easy 15minutes and straightforward the owner also excellent and very easy going supplied a few basics items when we arrive. Garajau is good base to see the island

Excellent booking communication and met promptly at apartment and shown around by owners. Beautiful new apartment, tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and all home comforts provided. Loads of towels, bedding, kitchen equipment etc. The location is great for an authentic Madeira holiday away from the large tourist hotels. There are a number of typical Madeiran eateries within 5 minutes walk - particularly worthy of mention is Cafe Neptune where you can get a lovely meal with wine and coffee for £20 for two. The bus service into Funchal takes around 20 mins and runs approx half hourly, so getting around the island without a car is not a problem. There are a few local places to visit within walking distance - Canico, Canico de Baixo and Cristo Rei statue and cable car. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone looking for a restful holiday on the beautiful island of Madeira.

Can't fault this apartment! We arrived late due to delays and the owner was waiting to meet us. She had left us lovely bowl fresh fruit, local cake and cookies and was charming. The apartment is lovely with lots of space outside to relax. The terrace is extremely private and the views are amazing. Not far from airport but far enough not to hear or see and planes. Easy to get around and the local shops cater for all needs. Madeira Island direct were brilliant and answered all questions we had. A truly relaxing holiday and great find!

This apartment is stunning! Extremely well presented, comfortable, very well equipped and quiet. It's a short drive from the airport, has underground parking, it's located in a very nice area with excellent amenities, restaurants and shops. Owner who we met on arrival was very welcoming and nice. I would recommend this place to everyone, in fact I would stay there forever! Super apartment very well equipped and lots of information about the island. We especially loved the underground car park.

Property is very handy for the airport and should only take 15-20 minutes transfer time. Unfortunately I went in the wrong direction on the expressway so it took me slightly longer! There is a private secure parking space in the basement with lift access to the apartment on the top floor. Both myself and my wife agree that this apartment has the best quality furniture and fixtures and fittings of any we have stayed in. There has been thought put in to the furnishings which are of a high quality and give the apartment a co-ordinated feel that is lacking in many places we have stayed in previously. Although there were only two of us we still appreciated the extra bathroom in the morning (my wife can be very territorial when she is applying her make up). The location is good as shops are just around the corner and we especially would recommend the bakery as both the bread and cakes were delicious. There are two supermarkets on the other side of the expressway which is 5 minutes away. The handy expressway is great for getting around if you have a hire car but because it is uphill you hear very little noise from it. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

This was our first time to Madeira and we wanted to stay outside Funchall - but close enough to travel in. This apartment was ideal as it was right by everything you could need for a pleasant stay. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations - and had everything we needed and more. As a party of three, there was more an enough space and everything was of a very high standard. Both Anna the owner and Peter were both exceptionally helpful both during the booking process and during our stay. The apartment has the most stunning views and my husband and I enjoyed many a delicious coffee in the morning (thanks to the Nepresso machine) and a chilled sun-downer watching the view change over the sea - amazing!! We did the dolphin watching experience and coming down the mountain in the basket - both are must do attractions during your stay. Even though it was Feb, we saw several pods of dolphins and some parts of the coastline you would not get to see without a boat. Local restaurants (in Garajau) vary in quality and price - We visited Frango de G... and whilst the first visit was lovely the second was not as good and the food was average but expensive. Try the limpets wherever you eat (they're gorgeous) and the meat dishes are hearty and tasty too. But the taste sensation has to the scabbard fish sandwich (and my husband also enjoyed it with the banana). There is definitely more for us to experience in Madeira and we hope to come back next year.

My wife and I stayed here for four weeks in January/February this year, and it was our first visit to Madeira. We searched various sites on the internet and came across this apartment. It really did live up to expectations. When we arrived the owner had left us a huge bowl of fruit, a delicious traditional sugar cane cake and some biscuits. Nice touch. Modern and well equipped, and it very soon became like home from home. It is perfect for self catering, and a perfect base with a bus stop 5 minutes walk away. The location is great too, with a fruit and veg shop, which sells much much more including wine and beer, only about 3 minutes walk away. If we return to Madeira, and I'm sure we will, we will have no hesitation in staying in this apartment again. Thanks again to the owner and the manager.

Communication with agent was excellent so no problems finding the apartment. Secure locked parking under the building with lift to the apartment. Lovely place to stay, clean, very modern, tastefully, and comfortably furnished. Had all the equipment we needed. A bowl of local grown fruit, cake and biscuits where a nice welcome gift. Ana, the owner, met us with the keys and gave us useful information about the local amenities. Close to reasonably priced restaurants and food stores. Easy drive to lots of places on the island although our 1.2 Corsa struggled a bit with some of the steep hills! It did the job but we will hire something a little more powerful next time! We loved Funchal, new year fireworks were epic! Loved the toboggans and tropical gardens at Monte. Went to the natural swimming pools at Porto Moniz. We braved the 17 degree water and enjoyed our December swim in the Atlantic! The faint hearted might rather do it in the summer!! Nice place though. We also enjoyed the Sky Walk which was free. Would recommend the Central Restaurant in Canico we were only in Medeira a week and we went twice! :)

The property is amazing! Two good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large sitting room & kitchen big enough to dine in, plus an area outside for sunbathing. There were just two of us, but even with four there would be loads of room. Private garage parking with direct lift access was a real plus as we were a bit nervous about leaving a hire car outside. The owner could not have been more helpful. There are a couple of small supermarkets close by & three or four restaurants to suit everything from a pizza to a three course with wine. Would recommend it 100%. When we go back to Madeira we will be booking this one again!

We were impressed from the outset - everything was very well presented and very clean. Everything is as it says in the advert. The owner is very friendly and speaks fluent English. We had a car but could probably have done without one as a high-speed bus service links to Funchal. Very quiet being on the top floor and the lovely terrace is completely private. To be recommended.

We just wanted a couple of days before moving on somewhere else, but we wished we could have stayed longer here. Everything was as in the photos and perfectly clean. The owner was very helpful.
