My wife and I booked two nights after our three country tour. We travelled by train. However, we realised the location of this hotel at booking as being more appropriate for car travel, but due to availability booked. The hotel is good, very clean and despite traffic, is very quiet. The reception is on the first floor by external steps. There is a lift. Good breakfast and very helpful reception. The room doors have keypad access for security. Wifi excellent. AC very effective and controllable. The hotel is walkable to the train station, once you have identified how to cross the traffic. There is a 21 bus which stops directly outside and a 23 bus which stops at Maxstrasse. If you get a 23 bus, you need to locate a dead end road called Landstrasse, where there is an underpass under the railway, which leads to the hotel. There are other underpasses to get into the town.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay! The room was nice and clean and I loved that they had a buffet breakfast and that was very convenient and delicious!!! The buses into the main city were easy to ride on with a stop right in front of the hotel! If I could change anything at all, it would be to add a couple more dining options for dinner. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!!! And very affordable!!!!!

The front desk staff are very helpful especially the young blonde guy who assisted us after we arrived. He gave us all the necessary infos we require to explore the city. The room is reasonably clean and spacious. The location is absolutely fantastic. Mc Donald next door & a pub. Not to mention the bus stop right in-front of the hotel. I love the free apples in the reception everyday. Food are amazing. Highly commendable hotel in general. Thanks.

Great hotel just off the freeway... a convenient place to stop when traveling. Easy access to city center Salzburg. Comfortable and clean!

Location of hotel and price made us select this hotel for our visit to Salzburg. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel with easy access to the city on a short bus ride. The hotel desk will provide you with a schedule and explain where to get off to visit the main attractions. You can also purchase the Salzburg card from the lobby if you so desire. The room was basic and outdated but did the job since we spent the majority of the time in the city. Don’t forget to purchase a vignette when you cross the border at the gas station or risk being fined if caught driving without it.

Good price, Salzburg North but right on a bus stop. Lovely check-in hostess. Room was clean, simple, and pretty much what you expect from an Ibis brand hotel.

The room was a bit smelly, as if someone had smoked there. Check in took very long. I had filled in all the details already when booking the room, and then had to fill out a lot of these details again during check in. Also there was a special offer form that we were asked to fill in. When we declined the staff member was clearly annoyed.

Easy bus ride to the main attractions. Hotel itself was ok carpets looked dirty and room had a smoky odor even though it was a smoke free room.

Booked 2 rooms with ac. 1 room Didnt have it. Came up with excuses why it was our fault. Offered us 2 free drinks and told me it was because I booked with expedia!. Complained the second night another nice lady switched the room without questioned Veriria, while the earlier front desk lady didnt follow up. Again I got what I paid for. If Im on a peasant income budget. I guess I got what I paid for.

A drab hotel on the edge of the highway, with a good bus link to city centre. The hotel is located immediately off the highway & has limited parking. It is far out of the city if you don't have your own transport but there is a decent direct bus to the city centre that costs €2.70 each way. The hotel is an IBIS so you don't expect fancy but it is very down-at-heel. The rooms are large but desperately need an upgrade....old carpets, scuffed walls, and no ambiance. The wardrobe was a joke, tiny with very little room to hang our heavy biker jackets let alone a normal travellers jackets, coats etc. No reason for this as there was plenty of room! For some reason our duvet was laid sideways on the bed so our feet stuck out the bottom! We found a second duvet in a bag so used them in the Austrian way. Breakfast was a basic continental but plentiful, if not fancy. There is a small bar area The staff were friendly & helpful but unless some love is put in to the hotel I won't be staying there again.

Ibis Nord is functional business hotel in close proximity to the autobnahn and some warehousing areas. Clean and comfortable, as expected

If your looking for a basic room without a lot of amenities, this may meet your needs. The breakfast buffet was nice and the hotel was generally clean. Although the staff was helpful with information tourists are likely to ask they were a bit slavish to the check in time. I believe it's better customer service to allow a customer to check in early if the room is available. Taking the city bus into town and back was surprisingly hassle free and much less expensive than taking a taxi.

Excellent place to stay. Parking available. Easy access to the freeway and easy to drive into the old city. Hotel was excellent! McDonalds was just below the hotel so it was easy for getting breakfasts.

Hotel is far from city center, but a bus stops right at door to hotel. The hotel lobby is not very well identified, no signs.

An OK option at Salzburg outskirts. You MUST take a bus to get to the center of the action. However, the bus stop is right infront of the hotel so that is easy. If you don't like to take public transportation, this could be a problem. However, we found the bus system easy to navigate, so I would not let that prevent you from using the hotel. Staff was responsive and helpful. Room was OK. The air condition though was barely passable. This could be a problem for some folks.

Theres a night club on the first floor. Because we were there on the night before a holiday the club was crowded and we could hear the music which played until 12:30 or so. We called the front desk and they offered to move us but the only available room was the one next door which wouldnt have made a difference.We complained to the front desk and they recognized this as an issue but because we booked through Hotels.com we were not able to reduce or refund a portion of our rate.

Overall very good ! Free Parking on sight. Nothing more to add. I really recommend.

The location eventhough is north of Town but is accesible by bus 21. The fare is only 2.3 euro. It is free if you buy Hop On Hop off ticket. We have our breakfast at McDonald next door. It has nice coffee. Parking is free and available many space. The room is clean & spacious by my standard. It has lift to your room.

Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Rooms cleaned well. Close to bus routes into town and the airport. Could do with serving more than the snack menu for food in the evening.
