The front desk was very helpful and kind. The room was clean. This hotel is an easy walk from yhe Tacoma Dome, where we had ar event to attend. The free breakfast was very nice. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, muffins, cereal, among other things. My only issue was I found the bed a bit uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy and stiff.
2.0
It’s a basic hotel, close to freeway.

First, I love La Quinta Inns. Usually my go-to for business trips. However, this location was disappointing. From stained carpets and furniture, to a broken TV, this hotel was bad. I felt unsafe. The hotel has numerous paper signs taped on walls for various reasons- an elevator out of service, and not to leave valuables out.
2.5
It was very nice. But it was too close to the freeway. All of the employees were great.

Room was clean and check in was easy! I stayed here because of how close the hotel was to the Tacoma dome and it was prefect! Bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. If I need a place to stay near the Tacoma Dome again, will definitely come back to this hotel.
2.5
Per the security guard walking around the area, especially at night is not safe. Additionally, there are not sidewalks in the area so another level of safety removed.

Lots of space for our group. Comfortable clean and loved the layout of our room as well. We had the king size bedroom with attached room with living room and 4 chair table. Large one bedroom apartment, perfect for adding beds and large family.

The front desk staff were friendly & helpful. Check in/ out was quick & efficient.
I appreciated the blackout blinds & the a/c.
The bed was pretty comfortable as well.

It was a very comfortable stay, friendly staff:). Wasnt pleased with the breakfast tho, no breakfast meats except boiled eggs and the biscuits where dry. Overall it was comfortable

The hotel was nice and fairly modern, unfortunately the cleaning wasn’t great and neither was the service. There was a giant clump of black hair left in the toilet and black hair in the shower and towels and on the floor of the bathroom. The bed and rest of the room were fairly clean though. I also witnessed a cleaner walk into someone’s room while they were still asleep without announcing herself which would annoy me if I was that guest. I was also told the restaurant would be open till 9pm but it was closed by 7:30 so getting dinner was an issue when I arrived which was disappointing as one of the only reasons I chose this location was for the dining options. Front desk staff were a little rude too and didn’t tell me about the additional credit card hold fees I was charged. Overall the hotel is generally nice but for the price I expected better attention to detail

Cable unpluged from TV. Bathroom circuit breaker off causing coffee maker not to work.

Friendly staff, room could use a little love and building is near the main highway. Great rates and was an easy and convenient stay for one night

Both door locks were broken and sounds carried through the walls very easily

I loved that it was so close to the casino and the concert we were attending.

The only negative that I could find was that the Continental breakfast was sparse. Other than that, the room is clean. The staff was nice and very helpful.

The security latch on the door was loose and the door didn’t close properly. There was no cold water in the sink it was scolding hot. We did not feel safe or comfortable. Will not return.

This is my first time leaving a review on a stay but golly it was so tough start to finish. The room had garbage and dirty cups in it when we arrived. The wifi was out the whole time with no warning —we checked in and they told us the password and then I got up to my room to try to do work and it wouldn’t connect. We called the front desk and no one answered. I walked down to ask if anyone else had trouble with the WiFi/ if I was just messing up and they said yep it’s broken and didn’t make any attempt to get it fixed while we were there.
They sent me a text before check in to upload a picture of my ID and my credit card so I could just walk up and get my key on arrival. They still asked for my ID and my card and double charged me for incidentals. Our room key didn’t work for amenities so we went to ask about it and they made it seem like a chore to fix. The charge ended up being significantly more than what was advertised. The hairdryer was broken. All of these individually wouldn’t have been too bad but it became almost funny how absolutely everything was going wrong with the stay.

We were really disappointed that the quality of this hotel didn’t align with ratings we saw prior to booking. I don’t usually leave reviews but we were irritated the entire time we stayed here. First, the WiFi is unreliable. If you need to work remotely, you’ll need to work in the lobby or in their “business room” on the first floor. The business room has two awkwardly short chairs and a long counter along one wall. The room we stayed in was stinky and had a handful of worn, mismatched furniture in it. Half of the wall plugs didn’t work. The fridge didn’t work (it froze ALL of the food we put in it and the knob was broken off). There was hair on the sink and kids toys under the bed, like the room had been very hastily cleaned. The TV is cable or chrome cast compatible…but without WiFi, you can’t use the chrome cast. The bathroom was grimy, stained, and in need of repair. Every single day twice a day we had to go to the front desk to get new keys because they stopped getting us into the room. The surrounding area is dirty and loud. The hotel is right next to an auto body shop that uses the hotel parking lot intermittently. Staff is polite, no complaints there. This stay was not worth the price. Better off in an airb&b.

Property/parking was well secured, but passed multiple homeless people and a few crack smokers lighting up across the street. WiFi and tv never worked for us.

They were not friendly at check-in time at the front desk
The room had a bad smell and the bathtub was dirty and the sink was also dirty.

LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Tacoma, WA is a short (15 minutes) bus ride away from the Amtrak station and the Tacoma Dome. Bus #41, #500 and #501 stop across the street from LaQuinta to go to Amtrak or Tacoma Dome, but be sure to ask the bus driver what stop to get off when returning back to the hotel, because the bus stop is not near the hotel on the way back. (Perhaps LaQuinta can petition Pierce Transit to make a return stop closer than what they have now.) This hotel has a great breakfast and friendly workers. My room was clean and had a refrigerator. My bed was very comfortable. There is a swimming pool too for any guest. It was fun for me to watch 7-10 year olds in the pool with their parents near them. I recommend LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Tacoma, WA because it is well run and has a hospitable attitude.

The staff was excellent. My room faced a train railway. Would have been nice to have been told this at check in. I would have requested a different room. The property is in a tough area. Homeless and prostitutes were seen. The property itself was clean and secure.

It was great

I was staying here for a conference. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. I was a bit disappointed by the breakfast selection. I would have liked another protein option instead of just a hard boiled egg. My room also smelled like body oder which was very strange.

There would have been 5 stars across the board but the assistant manager decided it was ok to bardge into my room due to a front desk mistake. She could of called my room or me before just coming in. No harm done but dont care for that practice.

The staff was great and so were the rooms. We only had 1 issue, the WiFi didn’t work in our room. Otherwise we had a great stay and appreciated the helpful staff
3.0
The staff were fantastic. Very polite, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very disappointing. Only option of egg was hard boiled, no other protein, only oranges for fruit. The wifi didn’t work in our room. The walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours water running for a shower. We were lucky that our neighbours were quiet overall. The rooms were clean which is wonderful. Definitely would think twice before returning as I had to use the business centre to complete the work I needed to get done with wifi.
4.0
The hotel itself is good. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Our coffee machine didn't work and the hair dryer broke, so some maintenance is required. The staff are friendly and approachable. The restaurant food is decent, although they were not open on Sunday. The area around the hotel is not safe so if you are going to the Tacoma Dome either drive or ride share.
3.0
I picked this hotel because it was the closest to Tacoma Dome. It’s fairly decent, clean and has an acceptable amount of noise as far as non luxury hotels go. I don’t think it was worth the $300 a night we paid but most properties in the area were charging about the same. Breakfast was continental and therefore had very limited selection. The only protein was boiled eggs. WiFi did not work on the 5th floor for some reason and only worked when I was in the lobby. Elevators were not working the time i checked out. I’m ok taking the stairs but felt bad for the older couple with a large suitcase I was chatting with. There was plenty of parking space despite us coming in late at night and felt relatively safer than the other hotels we stayed at before which was in the area where there were lots of tents.Overall average and great for shorter stays. I would not recommend if staying longer than that.

Enjoy the mold and rust! What a crummy hotel. The taped up signs in the parking lot, front entry, lobby, halls, all regarding parking lot valuables and safety should have been the giveaway. Rough neighborhood and not walkable unless you are looking for meth or fentanyl. The bed sheets were sandy, which is awesome since we didn’t travel to a beach. The noise from the raucous neighborhood and paper thin walls was a sweet bonus.

Everyone were very friendly they were out of their way to accommodate us and made us feel very welcomed

Everything was good. Checking in was a bit strange, maybe the person was new, I don't know. All went well.
1.5
Older hotel in need of updates. Furniture had visible stains and was significantly worn. The bathroom had cracked caulking and visible dirt and hair.
