This place is a bit weird, though it may be common for Lubbock. I've stayed here a few times. It's relieably fairly comfortable and clean, with a few stains in the ceiling tile and restroom trim.

Hotel looks very outdated, the toilet in our bathroom had mold, they need to work a lot on the cleaning of the hotel in general. The curtains in one of our rooms looked like they had blood stains. I would never stay there again

It was a bad overall situation, dirty Blankets, smoke smell in the hotel, there was no one seen to clean rooms, if there’s a emergency for hotel, if there’s no choice, I guest that’s the only way I will stay in any of those red roof, other wise I’ll get a different hotel to stay

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Staff was super unfriendly, and just about everything was in disrepair. Floor dirty, towels stained, bedding stained, elevator looked like it was going to fall apart. Overall, everything in the hotel needs a lot of work and it seems like it would be better to just set the hotel on fire, demolish it, and forget that it ever existed. The only reason I didn’t cancel my reservation upon arrival was there were no other rooms available in town at a reasonable rate. This place is absolute garbage!

You get what you pay for, and I can appreciate that. However the price was pretty steep for a football weekend. If you’re not picky, and won’t be in your room much it will do the job. Friendly staff, and clean enough to sleep in after a night on Broadway. Older hotel so be prepared for what comes with that, and don’t come in higher expectations if this is where you end up. It is what it is! And should not be downvoted for not meeting higher end hotel expectations.

Wverything was wonderful except the hot tub the jets didnt work

Red roof has diminished significantly I use to stay there many years ago when I worked in Oklahoma. I would come visit on days off and stay there because it was affordable and it was clean and convenient. This last time I went it was horrible. Elevator didn’t work rooms were filthy. I was scared there might be bed bugs that’s how bad it was. I don’t recommend anyone staying there. Reserve at your own risk!!!!

It smells awful when we walked in. Got to room and there were dead roaches on the floor. The walls were crusty with stuff. It smelled. The bathroom was nasty. Dead roach in bathtub. And the water in the bathtub was dripping and wouldn’t stop

Wow… not at all what expected. I walked into the lobby and it was HUMID!! The front desk staff have small fans pointed to them at all times. Once I signed… they told me to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. I thought it was kind of weird that they specifically said “stairs” as I walked toward the stairs.. in search of the elevator…. There was a sign hanging on the elevator that read “out of service” why didn’t they tell me the elevator was out of service before they gave me a room on the 3rd floor?? So I made my way up the ugly stained carpeted stairs and it was a disgusting sight to see. I arrive on the 3rd floor and got into my room. The furniture is worn, there are large noticeable chips on the wooden furniture, the office chair had a distressed weather look. I stayed in a double bed room and the comforters didn’t match, there were burn holes in the comforters. I signed up for a smoke free room and they gave me one that smaller badly of smoke. The bathroom ceiling tiles were coming off, there was trust everywhere & The tv had white lines going across it.. so that made it hard to watch. The bar located in the lobby is terrible!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there EVER again!!

The hotel was not what was pictured on the app it was horrible the smell was horrific there was a homeless man living in the parking lot. As I walked into the hotel there was another homeless man looking through the trash that was sitting outside the hotel rooms with his dog. There was another homeless person in the lobby with 2 dogs that growled at me. The lobby girls didn’t do anything about it. The air conditioners weren’t working the thermostat said 90 degrees. I walked into my hotel room there was feces and toilet paper in the toilet. There was a spider on the bed. The curtains didn’t even cover the window. The hotel smelled like smoke after I reserved a non smoking. I walked back out and didn’t stay I gave my room key back and left. The hotel is horrible I don’t understand how it’s even open still. If I was the health department I wouldn’t even walk in there. I should be issued a refund and I haven’t; I’ve been filling out these reviews since yesterday. It is false advertisement for these pictures to even be on the site.

Receptionist was wonderful! Elevator stinks and needs a major upgrade! Rooms did get cold and pool was exceptionally clean! Vending machines didn’t work!

Cigarette burn marks and stains on the “clean bedding”. Smelled like weed, stains in ceiling and wall, and just overall sketchy.

Ac stopped working, maintenance said they fixed it and they made it worse, screaming kids all night, and I do mean all night. I would wake up ever 30-45 mins to a screaming kid, toilet got clogged. Not super happy

The staff was rude. They put me in the very top corner knowing I had two puppies that I was potty traning. You couldn't ask the front desk a question without getting unnecessary attitude back because you interrupted a personal phone call that had nothing to with their work.

Blankets and sheets where dirty. Did not offer the complimentary shampoo. Anylonger. Didn't have wash clothes. And there was only one towel.

The staff was nice and helpful the waffles biscuits and gravy were good and the yogurt and they had cereal and peanut butter and jelly and bread to make sandwiches the pool is nice all in all we had a nice time

No laundry room, dirty, refrigerator dirty, microwave dirty, restroom dirty, noisy no customer service. Bugs on bed n room floor. Microwave not working. No mercy for customers I wasn’t the only one complaining. Left early was told I was going to get a refund no proof provided

The hotel overall is very old and in desperate need of renovations. The room was very clean, but in need of renovations and repairs, key card lock had a few issues. I did see people cleaning constantly so that is a huge plus. Both the front and back entrance are unwelcoming. The entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke. The Fire Exits are disarmed and people can just walk in and out without sounding the fire alarm. I myself followed people through these doors so I can confirm that they are disarmed. The pool is the highlight of this hotel and in good condition the hot tub is comfortable however the jets do not work.

Stains and dirty hallways and LOTS of activities in the hallways, but room was clean and nice accomodations. Not the worst I’ve been to, by far! But not the best either! Would definitely stay there again!

Piece of junk

Worst experience in any hotel I have ever stayed. Broken toilet, water all over the floor, stained sheets, filthy floors, no operable microwave , refrigerator, TV. No amenities and smoking permitted throughout hotel. This initiated allergic reactions.

It was the worst experience ever first i took a non smoking room and they gave me smoking area the hotel everything was dirty, the elevator and the pool was not working. In the room when i say everything was dirty even the ceiling the lamps i had to get new sheets the one on the bed was dirty the rugs where super dirty i would never go here again.

The hotel is very outdated. The rooms were in extremely poor condition. We only stayed there because everything else was book. The sheets were stained and torn. The towels were old and worn out. You could hear every pipe working if anyone turned on the water. The room service was loud and kept vacuuming at all hours. The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night. You could hear the music from the attached bar thumping all night long. The room faced the inside of the building facing the pool and the lights were shining bright through the poorly fitted black out curtains disrupting sleep. It smelled horrible and was just the filthiest hotel ever!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here! I have no idea how this place is still open.
