The bathroom is dirty, the sink faucet is broken. The towles are dirty and have stains.

Urine in the hallway. Cigarettes in the hallway. I have never witnessed such before by Travelodge Hotel. The week before I stayed at the Travelodge in Romulus and compared to the one in canton I will give it 4 stars. The Travelodge in canton is an eye sore and unfortunately, I would not recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely Horrible - Dirty, Unsafe, and Unlivable
I booked this hotel for two nights but didn’t even stay for one. The room was extremely dirty, with trash all over the bathroom floor, making it impossible to feel comfortable. The entire place felt unsafe, with people clearly high wandering around. As a woman traveling alone, I was horrified when I discovered that the door lock didn’t even work. I never felt safe for a single moment. I ended up sleeping in my car because I felt safer there than in the room. Avoid this hotel at all costs, especially if you value safety and cleanliness. Total nightmare!

Went to take a shower, cold water throughout the whole shower. The place was very unkept, view was an abandoned Wendys. I stayed for about an hour before I left and slept in my car at a reststop.

When I arrived with my service animal I was turned away and told to stay down the street at the super 8 even though I was booked for a 4 night stay and the hotel is pet friendly. They told me they had no more pet rooms available and to reach out to Expedia for my refund. However Expedia explained that this dirty hotel charged me for a no show. I only booked this for a family emergency and was scared to get out of my car. Save your money or just godown the street to super 8. These people are scammers!!! Not to mention I had a dirty man smoking cigarettes right at the front entrance in front of the “no smoking” sign in front of the desk staff! This is laughable and y’all are going to get sued!

We booked this hotel for one night with our pet . When we reached the property the staff said the rooms which are pet friendly are all booked for the night, and they didn’t allow us to stay in the middle of the night, eve though it was full paid. We had to book another hotel which was much more expensive as it was last moment .
The staff at the hotel was not at all friendly and were rude. We are yet to get the refund from Expedia .

Overall my stay wasn't horrible accept for the extremely strong mildew smell from the room. I had to buy air freshener in order for me to be able to even sleep. Otherwise it wasn't bad. Good for a night or two for something cheap and easy, but I guess you get what you pay for

Bugs in the bed and on the floor. Sticky floors. Whole area felt unsafe. Could hear yelling from the next room over. Staff didn't seem concerned about middle of the night checkout because of said conditions. Would not recommend.

There was a roach in the baththub, a dirty qtip behind the bed (easy to see ans pick up during cleaning) and a lot of tiny flies around the sink. The towels were of various shades of white and a bit crunchy to the touch

The property was filthy. We would have gone somewhere else but there were no refunds. We had to were socks because the floor was so dirty. We stayed two nights and were given no clean towels. My sister had to take them to the office which was a little area and had to put them on the counter where people go to check in. Imagine signing paperwork to check in with dirty towels inches from you. After 2 1/2 hours with no towels arriving, my sister again went to the office and was told they weren’t done so the employee went to an unoccupied room and got some towels from there. The towels were stained and had hair on them. The tv didn’t work correctly, but we played around with it to get it to work. The blankets had cigarette holes in them and my sheets were damp but I’m not sure why. At least the employee was friendly. We read reviews that stated that the employees were extremely rude. The picture in the Expedia webpage did not match the room we stayed in. It was interesting that the lobby was blocked off from the check in desk. It seemed like they did the bare minimum to keep it running. I didn’t read any reviews (that’s on me) but with the brand name Travelodge and Wyndham I thought it would be fine. I will not make that mistake again. It was a MISERABLE experience.

Reserved room was not available. They said they sold out and there was nothing available. There was no guarantee, even though I went through Expedia. After looking at property and talking to staff, I’m glad I didn’t stay there, but it took me two hours to find another replacement place

When I got there I asked for a ground floor room at first they said they didn't have one but found one that I could stay in for the night til another came available. When I drove to the back building of rooms there was trash bags everywhere trashcan over flowing. Got to my room smelled horrible the shower the light over sink didn't work. When I tried turning on tv it didn't work when I barely touched tv the back leg fell off and the lamp started flickering (not sure how the TV affected light. A police officer drove thru and I asked if I had made a mistake booking at this hotel. He took my name and asked how long I was staying and said they would keep an eye on me. On my third time going to the office requesting another room a new person was at the desk and he said he didn't know why I was put in that room because they they only rented those rooms to people that didn't care if anything worked because they were homeless or needing a place to do their recreational activities. He gave me a room close to the office it was better. The next morning went out for coffee before my daughter's game and tried to get in room and keycard would not work. Went to office twice on second trip the desk clerk came to the room and his key not his key card would work. Finally 10 minutes later we got in the room. He explained he had to change battery in the key card sensor on the door. Our next trip we will be doing more research on any hotel we rent especially if we use hotel.com.

We traveled very far to get to there when we got to this hotel the lobby was closed it was like checking in to a jail smelled bad no open lobby at all the pictures online were a scam to get you to book a room once we got the key because we had no choice to unbook the room at this point. The room was like a room off a movie that rents per hour it smelled like old ..x the bed had make up on the pillows and ..x stains used wash rags and towels we demanded a refund and left. Do not book a room here

Jatinder the mgr kept my $50 security deposit and when called, blamed me and started screaming and hung up. Called Travelodge corporate and they were absolutely useless!! Disgusted beyond belief. I'm gonna go there in person to try to get my $50, that's theft

The positives:
The checkout clerk in the morning was very nice and insightful.
The room was just under 53$ a night on short notice.
The location is close to everywhere I needed to go.
The negatives:
The room had stains and crumbs.
The TV was mounted where someone on the right side of the bed would struggle to lay down and watch.
Someone else's bar of soap was in the bathroom.
Again, great price on super short notice.
