I really enjoy staying at MG as we have stayed there a lot. I will still continue to stay here. However, the restaurant used to be open 24/7 and it is also advertised as that. We called to order food as we arrived after 8pm. I was informed the restaurant closes at 9pm and reopens at 11pm. Which really put a damper on the night as I had to get up super early for a test the next day.

Area seemed to be in a sketchy part of town at night.
The toilet was loose to the floor. No hot water the first shower I took. The other showers I took had hot water but low water pressure.
The cable TV service went out the last night and only had static on the TV. Called the front desk about it and they said they can't do anything until the service guy comes the next day.

Room was fine. Carpets needed cleaned

Garbage under both beds. Room had an odor and even spraying Lysol did not help. Bathroom sink drained really slow. Took forever to get hot water for shower. NO coffee maker. No microwave. If you want to just sleep, it is a good place.
Restaurant / Bar was ok. Smoky.

I've stayed at the Mardi Gras several times and it has become my go-to Vegas stopover. Unlike corporate entities, the owners are on site, ensuring this is a quality operation.
From the moment you walk into the registration desk, all the employees treat you with a service-oriented approach. The property is constantly being refurbished or cleaned.
Rooms have plenty of space with a mini frig and a bed a bit separate from tv viewing area. Enjoy the large counter area in what appears to be a former kitchen.
The biggest selling point for me is outdoor hot tub that is open year round. Few places have this amenity.

It was great

The hot water tank took to long to heat up. The toilet was weak.

The lack of a coffee pot for personal "tea/coffee" making options was not available. The limited housekeeping was not appreciated. I don't mind making my own bed and don't need new sheets everyday however, not having fresh towels and trash removed at all during our 5N stay was very tacky. We had to ask for fresh towels, pick them up ourselves. A pile of dirty linens piles up in our bathroom. Some of the patrons or "working individuals" and apparent drug users wandering around was a bit tacky. Picked your hotel as it was walking distant to the Convention Center. We stayed there 3 years ago where housekeeping was provided. The male server for breakfast was the best and "we adjusted to the rest OK'. Location and price were positive factors.

Internet 1.2 MPS, housekeeping every 3-4 days, not consistent charges for arriving packages, threatening management

Staff was fantastic. Had a steak at the restaurant and it was perfect. Great inexpensive location if you are going to the Sphere

toilet flusing was weak. like the early check for 25 dollars

Hotel was in a okay location but little bit shady at times. I wouldn't really recommend for family with kids unless you’re getting taxis in and out. But if you’re adventurous and don’t mind shady areas then I would recommend.
Bad points: The internet was terrible and the Tv didn’t work!
Good points: Friendly staff, big room and the price was fantastic!

Not like the pictures at all. Room was definitely not cleaned properly upon arrival (there were used qtips on the sink counter). Very rundown place. Only good thing is location but the street it is on always has traffic.

Beds were decent, there was food left over in our mini fridge from other past guests. The shower and bathroom were also fine. The TV wasn’t working but it was more of the WiFi’s fault than the actual TV. Free parking on whichever side you’re staying on.

Disgusting!!!!!! Run away!!! Walked into a room that was still dirty. Wouldn’t refund us. Desk guy was rude. This wasn’t our fault! This place is pretty rough. No thanks!

When we walked in to check-in there was nobody at the desk for 10-15 minutes in normal evening hours after a 7 hour drive. There was no bell to ring. Finally somebody came running and was nice and check us in. Room was run down and old. There was dog sh** on the walkway to room the entire two nights and days we were there. Toilet was one with the cheap, small seat, it would not flush, except for when you held the handle down the entire flush. All the furnishings, cabinets, bedding, fixtures, etc looked like very old like the seedy motels you find in small towns. The walls had visible patches all over with discoloration. Bed was comfortable enough to sleep well, but the rest of the place made you question where it had been.

This hotel could be a gem if the owners would put some money into repairs, remodeling, some paint, and plumbing! It is directly behind the Las Vegas strip so the location is ideal, and the cost is so reasonable! It only took us less than 10 minutes using either Uber/Lyft to get anywhere on the strip. The hotel is directedly behind the Sphere, and it was so nice to see the ever changing visuals. Convenient stores are within walking distance (5 Mins) so you don't have to worry about paying for over-priced water or sodas. The staff is super nice, and will try to accommodate anything you ask for. They only clean the rooms every three days, so don't expect cleaning service, unless you ask for it. The rooms are huge for the price, and I love that the room we had with two queen size beds are divided by a partition which gives you a little privacy! There is a small kitchenet with a refrigerator and a lot of counter space. I was dumbfounded that there was not a coffee maker or microwave in the kitchenet? Unfortunately there was only one stole chair which doesn't make sense because there was two of us? The pool area is very nice and clean with a heated jacuzzi. However, the pool was not heated and the water was super cold! I can understand in the summer no heat, but this was fall. They need better security because transients do tend to wander on the premises! The restaurant inside the hotel is nice, and the food was pretty good, but they need to hire more help! All in all a fair stay!

The rooms are the cutest and the front desk lady (the one with the long dark hair) was very nice

Toilet clogged up. My wife went to use the toilet in the casino bar to find someone passed out after shooting drugs in the other stall.

We came in on Saturday afternoon, the room was clean and big with a small seating area and a kitchen area. No microwave unfortunately, but the refridgerator worked well and kept everything cold and refreshing.

It was ok. Functional. Room was simple and clean. Better than 90% of the airbnbs I've stayed at in the last few handful of times. Was weird that the first room they gave me... Key lit up orange when trying to use... Then tried pushing on door... No luck. So went back the front desk and they made me a new key... Then we tried again to find that the door was now open.. and there was trash in the room... So as if someone was hanging out in the vacant room. Kinda shady. But thankfully Josh (front desk clerk) was awesome n very accommodating. Got me another room right away without any hassle. It was one less bed company cancelled last minute.

Room was decent. Arrived on a Friday and left on Sunday. Room was good for Friday and Saturday morning. We left around 9 am on Saturday and did some stuff and came back around 4 pm. We came to our room not being cleaned. I asked the front desk and found out they only clean the room if requested by 10 am that day. I was not told this upon check in. I asked for new towels and the front desk was unable to give me at the time and told me to come back. I went the next morning to ask and the front desk told me they would call room keeping. They came with 2 towels and 1 roll of to for a family of 5

When I booked online through Hotels.com I was shown the Orleans Hotel. that where i thought i was staying. I was told by thier staff i got the Mardi Gras Motel. when Igot to the Motel(this is not a Hotel by any means) Its doesnt look like the pictures.. I immediately told the motel staff i will not be staying at this motel. The staff tried to cancel but since I prepaid Hotel.com had to cancel it. Hotels.com is impossible to get in contact with. I called twice from the Mardi Gras Motel and the call hung up on me both times. when I finally got in contact with Hotels.com the agent was extremely nice.. He called the Mardi Gras Motel and they lied and said I was a no show. If they check thier cameras or computer logs they would see that was a lie. i dont expect honesty from a place like the Mardi Gras Motel. If you love yourself and family then its a no go.

It must have been the location and the hotel built-style (open outside stairs) that appears to have a lot of unwanted people sitting and smoking on the stairs. No coffee maker or microwave in the room although the room was spacious.
