I was appalled at this place. I took pictures to have verification…mold on the outside of every AC unit, massive dumpster in front of hotel near entrance, rust all over the bathtub, husband had to fix the toilet as it wouldn’t flush, patchwork drywall unfinished, holes along baseboards into walls, TP shoved into prep hole of door, ceiling tiles missing in hallway, stains on the bathroom towels. We couldn’t get a refund because we booked through Hotels.com but we sure as heck paid out our hard earned money to book a stay at a different hotel in town. This place was disgusting. Front desk staff was super friendly….only plus to the entire experience.

It was about 9:30 when I checked in, and sketchy people were loitering in the parking lot. At check in several men were hanging in the lobby leering at my 16 year old daughter. Additionally, men were sitting on the floors in the second floor hallway, also staring as we walked by. It made us very uncomfortable.

None of the exterior doors were secured. The door to our room had to be slammed to latch. The room smelled horrible. The sheets, pillows, pillow cases and towels were a brown/yellow instead of white. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet ran the entire time. The shower was patched with electrical tape and was filthy. Needless to say we did not stay there. We left the room keys on the bed and found a different hotel.

Great!

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Not a high quality remodel job, but it was nice. The doors to the outside were not locked or shut completely.

The bath tub was not clean. It had hair from the previous guest. The hair dryer did not work. The outlet in the bathroom did not work. The staff did not have a back up hair dryer.

They people were very nice, but the place is under construction. That is not an excuse to have bed linen that was eaten with holes in it, water damage doors and ceilings. The place does not warrant $188.00 plus fees.
Highly disappointed.

Came to twin for a funeral that was in a neighboring city. Customer was good. The environment of the hotel was horrible. The food had a huge gap under it. The peephole had no coverage, anyone could see it. Most of the wall outlets didn’t work. The lamp outlets didn’t work. The lamp itself was very old with the bottom peeling. The table the lamp was on wobbled/unbalance. The tub was peeling and was not clean. There was a small bug we killed right as we entered. The bed was hard as ever. Needs new owners and a huge revamping. The price for one night was ridiculous. If it wasn’t for family, I would not have stayed there. Couldn’t get photos since we were rushing to the service in our last day.

Just needs a renovation in the worst way. And they did not have our Expedia reservation the hotel desk person said we were like the forth person that day that didn’t have a reservation on their books through Expedia. She made us another reservation through her computer. And told us to call and complain to Expedia. Expedia being a third party takes the reservation and our money but doesn’t follow through on pushing our reservation through to quality inn. This needs to be reported to the better business bureau

The Quality Inn in FarmVille, Va was close to the college we were visiting, on the Main Street and easy to find. However it is old and in desperate need in upgrading. There was no carpeting in the rooms which made the floor cold and hard to walk on. The bathtub had a permanent mat o the bottom of the tub that was peeling up. The toilet seat was loose and slipped every time you sat down. We never were able to log onto the internet. The main hall shows signs of messy painting and ver worn patches in the carpet. The clerk at the desk was very nice and the breakfast was ok.

The appearance wasn't the best. The bathroom looked like it had been updated but the pain on the door was not done well and just looked old. There was a slight smell. The bed creaked when you got on and off it. There was some workers working right in front of the main entrance when I went to check in and you had to walk under the ladder to get inside. It just wasn't the best.

Very worn rooms, cracked sinks, bath mats dirty and torn, window treatment falling off, dingy and unclean feel. Outside door didn't shut all the way and unable to latch. The hotel is in the process of installing security cameras, nothing of the mess vacuumed up. When we commented 9n the outside door not latching (i.e. not secured, we were told there was a camera there 🙄, like that's going to do much, basically anyone can enter and wander the hotel.). We were offered our money back and went elsewhere.

Even though the hotel was fully booked, it was very quiet. There were plenty of parking spaces that were close to the building. What really impressed us was how nice the staff were. They allowed us to check in a little early, instead of making us wait. The room was extremely clean. I have seen 4 star hotels that were dirtier. The building was old and repairs were visually obvious. However, there were plenty of convenient outlets, the fridge was quite large, and the TV had full DirectTV subscription. We had a king bed and it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had at a hotel. Overall, we would gladly come here again.

They property needs a nice renovation.
Suzanna at the front desk was delightful and helpful.

This place is a dump and should be razed. For example, instead of replacing a bathroom door, they chose to paint over the rot. The shower curtain looked like someone tried to do pull-ups on it. On top of that, management didn't even bother to fill in the holes left in the wall. The hallways are a generous mix of old, dirty carpets and a drop ceiling ready to literally drop. To their credit, the bed had clean sheets and the little TV was fairly new.

Came down to tour Longwood college with my daughter. Got in late, room was not clean, trash in trashcan, dirty towels in bathroom, melted ice in bucket. We did get to switch rooms and it was fine just paint splatter all over floor, and bathroom. They are renovating so be prepared if you stay. Staff is friendly and location is nice

The room was okay except the door deadbolt wouldn't latch. There was hall light evident around the entire door. Lighting in the room was poor. Just one lamp.

Stayed one night for a wedding. We have stayed other quality inn but these by far has our worst experience. Entered to the room with paint splatter all over the floors, plastic still on smoke detector from painting. Tv and phone did not work. Told front desk and instead of coming to fix it told us it was probably hdmi cord. Returned from the wedding we went to and found staff and other participants partaking in illegal substances at one of the side entrances, which was right near our room. All night the same people with their young kids in tow were in and of the inn doors which was loud. Will most likely never choose a quality inn to stay at again due to our experience. I would suggest someone within corporate go to this location and review their staff behaviors. The only good part of our experience was the young lady who check us in, she was very nice and friendly, but she left soon after we checked in and the other lady working the desk was not helpful and was one of the staff members partaking in the illegal substance when we came back that evening.
I would assume Quality Inn purchased this property and attempted to remodel. It was not money well spent. The floors in the room were terribly uneven, either the incorrect sized subfloor or possibly water damaged floor that was not replaced. The door frames were not square causing the door to not shut unless pulled closed behind you. The side entrance door slammed shut every time someone went through it.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but I chose this hotel because of the seasonal pool and when we arrived at 3:30 ready to swim, we were told that the pool was closed because it needed to be repaired. My kids were so disappointed. It's unfortunate that the website doesn't indicate that the pool isn't operational.

The gentleman at check in was extremely polite and courteous. This has been one of the best hotel stays in a very long time. Just a simple one night stay on a long weekend vacation.

The hotel is old and run down. They allowed pot smoking everywhere and loud, high, drunk obnoxious kids to scream
Until there were complaints at 3:00am and the police were called. Will never recommend or stay again.

Not so good. I was there for fishing trip. There were always suspicious people hanging around outside I felt uncomfortable leaving things in the back of my truck always worri g if people were going to steal it. Police patrolled the parking lot both nights I was there. The place is outdated and junky looking. The bathroom was clean tho except for the showers I wore flip flops in the shower. Both nights there was yelling and arguments i could hear in the other rooms. Very thin walls so sleep was not good. Over all you should go somewhere else

Be careful! My bag was stolen from the parking lot and re-appeared the next day having been rifled through. Lots of scumbags and shady people stay and work here. The owner didn't seem to care and doesn't have cameras over the parking lot. I would strongly recommend you stay elsewhere.

Advertised hot breakfast but did not have it. Had to move rooms because shower rod fell. Overall it was ok, but there were these issues.

Smooth check in and check out. All employees were nice and the customer service was outstanding. NOTE that there are only stairs to the second level. I asked if there was an elevator and when I mentioned my uncle had rotator cuff surgery and that's why I asked the manager or owner offered to carry his luggage up.
The rooms were standard and wasn't bad. Noticed some coffee staining on 1 of the mattresses covers on the side. No biggie.
Breakfast had eggs, link sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, different breads, fruit, yogurt, ceral bars. Great selection.
Parking lot needs a pick me up but there is plenty of parking.
My son goes to Hampden-Sydney College and I already have my next two stays reserved.
