Checking was wonderful, nice friendly staff. Only real issue was the mattress and you can tell it's all older hotel. Three staff seemed diligently working to make improvements.

Rooms were big. Beds were acceptable. Breakfast could be better.
We were in town to visit family so we only needed a place to sleep and shower. This placed accomplished that and it was affordable.
We would stay here again.

For it to be am older hotel its one of the best ones in southport. Ive been to all of them. On rhe budget side its perfect, its safe, breskfast a few feet away or across the street and the highway is right there. The room is ok for the night. It was clean. The workers were running around making us comfortable. Good parrking. If uou need a spot cheap, this is it. Pool is open and ice machines are clean. No smell in hallways, lobby is nice. Ive been here twice. Under 100 bucks

Stayed here for a few days with our dogs. The hotel charged us $25 per dog per day, and I really felt they didn’t want them there so not truly “pet-friendly”. The hotel is old but beds were comfortable.

The toilet in our room was clogged and had what appeared to be vomit in it. Bathroom sink in the room we were switched to was dirty. Hotel staff immediately moved us to another room when contacted about the issue. Service was prompt and hotel staff were as friendly and helpful.

The shower curtain had mildew stains & reddish-brown stains on the curtain that looked like makeup that had been wiped on the curtain. Mildew stains at the bottom of the shower curtain. The toilet was not seated to the floor properly. When I sat on the toilet it shifted. Hair on the bathroom floor.
The grass in the back of the hotel was high. Doesn't look like it's been cut in a long time.

It wasn’t bad but could have provided better security at our hotel door since there’s no chain or deadbolt to secure ourselves. The pillows could been better, the room feels bit run down, our lamps worked half of the time. It had bit of mildew smell. Breakfast could been bit better on the options to choose from. But overall not bad for the price considering

The floor had trash scattered around. All fixtures on the wall in the bathroom were coming off the walls. It was apparent the bathtub was painted and flaking off, with lots of soap scum on the flat surfaces. One of the bedside lights appeared to have a short. The lights all had switches the were on the cords, but on one bedside lamp, as you would touch the light switch it would flicker or randomly turn off. The bedside chair had some really sketchy looking stains. The one redeeming point was the breakfast had very tasty watermelon. And the morning staff was very sweet and friendly, compared to the night desk staff.

The front desk workers were nice enough and the guy who checked Me in ,gave me a room close to a side door to smoke easier. They were just unorganized. They misplaced my checkin paper and deposit. The bed was literally the worst. Really hard and uncomfortable I was hurting so bad the next day. The bath tub was leaking bad and had mold, the shower rod had a big clump of hair hanging off and a huge booger on the wall next to the toilet. The computer chair was broken. It was just kinda grimy. The water in the lobby sat there untouched my whole stay the fruit looked gross.

This was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. The hotel was dingy and unkempt. The hallways had small amounts of tissue or toilet paper debris in them. The room was dirty and dingy, not up to western standards.
I took a look at the mattress and it was disgusting. There were small spatters of blood on the walls in the bathroom like those a hypodermic needle would leave. There was a dirty wash cloth in our bathroom on arrival. All the edges of the carpets and baseboards were dirty. Pealing paint and exposed drywall…
Our hallway smelled like marijuana.
The grass has been cut outside on Thursday and the clippings were still on the sidewalk Sunday when we left.
Breakfast in the mornings was a joke.
Cooked but cold eggs, bacon and sausage.
Find another place.

Came to town for a concert. Room was clean, the freezer/fridge was really nice. Free Wi-Fi also a plus. We enjoyed our stay!

Our sheets were dirty, the towels had hair on them, the bathroom door didn’t even close, the tv didn’t work. The pool was closed.

Property has a rank odor throughout. Very dirty. Staff is inept and to be honest probably embarrassed at the condition. Was moved to a cleaner room, but still disgusting smell and dirty. Convention in town could not get anything reasonable in the surrounding area or i would have left. Manager tried her best, however the hotel is just not at an acceptable stay. Should be a major discounted crap hotel. Actually glad the pool was being "redone" because it would probably fare dangerouse because of the filth. Did not eat breakfast for the same reason.
