Location is great. That’s about it.
For a hotel who is getting around 200K plus per weekend, it was not in in the best of condition. Raw aged ply wood as your walkway up stairs, hints of unfinished repairs all throughout. Once getting into the room we thought oh this isn’t so bad, we were wrong. The bed sheets looked oily and old with hair found on them. The carpet while it did add character to decor was soiled all throughout. You were slipping and sliding on the toilet seat. Alas the finale was the guests on top of our room had from what it sounded like half a dozen in one room. Took the noise till about 1 am used the phone it the room to call into the office finding no answer. Went down to the office and it was closed. Thankfully there was a number to call which was what I immediately did. Upon calling someone did answer and instead of being being told which would make sense, I was told to wait a few minutes and they will call the room soon. This was not what I expected. There are certain things that do require immediate action, I believe this was one of them. I got back to my room and still heard them yelling as if it was day time. I know I was not the only one that was affected by this rudeness. But I will speak up. This soured my experience as well as reason for trip. What a shame

Perfect location to walk around Solvang. Pool was nice but a bit cool, spa was good. Rooms are old and outdated. Nothing some new paint and updated tables couldn't fix. Chairs need a good cleaning and they'd be okay. Shower door didn't close tight, and the foam rubber was coming off. But for the price, you get what you get.

Amazing! Unbelievable! Nordic hospitality at its best.
It is warm, comfy, spacious and beautiful, given with a good dose of humor. The pool is great too. The assortment of morning pastries could be wider.

Wi-Fi was terrible. We would repeatedly be kicked off and have to log back in. We were in a corner room far from the office so maybe we were just too far from the router.
Also, the air conditioner setting was so cold and could not be adjusted. Just very inconvenient.

We have a moving truck and the staff Erick went all the way out to help us with parking . He’s very accommodating.
The property is a bit outdated but it’s all my family need is safety and good restful sleep.

Room condition not so good. Old peeling furniture. Dirty arms on a microfiber rocking chair. No lobby coffee. Desk said only coffee was in the room where we found one regular coffee packet. Cheapest option on a Friday in June, so that's what happens. Not our usual go to in Solvang, but it was a place to sleep and our go to had No Vacancy. We usually try to only travel mid week during the off season. Didn't use pool or hot tub, but they looked clean and maintained. Hot tub was hot. Old air conditioner was loud and didn't work too well. Luckily we were able to open the windows at night to sleep.

There was major issues with the television/cable. Our stay was during the U.S. OPEN (GOLF -13-15) When I contacted the front desk the receptionist said that the problems were not theirs, rather the cable company, I, informed them that I didn't contract with the cable company. He said, not my problem contact the hotels, management company. Other rooms guest had similar problems. Many channels didn't work and the picture was so blurry! Very dissatisfied!!
We understand that this is not a five star hotel which was fine however there is some reasonable expectations in their current physical location that something as simple as a working television/cable is expected. If not please notify everyone. This is a true management issue without them "Inspecting what is expected" of the team at their PROPERTIES!

Solvang is one of my top places to visit and I tend to go several times a year. This was my first stay at Svendsgaard's Danish Lodge Americas Best Value Inn -chosen for this trip due to location, availability, and cost. The hotel is perfectly located for walking around Solvang. The cost was reasonable and includes free parking, internet, pool. The facility is a bit outdated and could use a "refresh". The staff is very helpful and friendly. I will return in the future!

They scan your ID and credit card information and keep on file without telling you or asking for permission and if you refuse they will not refund you and not allow you to check in . Place is dirty and disgusting.

We got a 2 room with 2 queens bed for 4 ppl , but the beds didn't look they were queen size , they were more like twin size vert uncomfortable for 2 ppl to sleep on the same bed, on the app also advertise that the hotel was going to provide continental breakfast which turns out it was coffe ONLY.
