Staff was excellent. Breakfast great. Service very good.

The customer service is great, the place is clean and nice atmosphere . The only thing I suggest they upgrade the bedding.

We truly enjoyed our stay! Our shower drain was a little backed up, but other than that the staff and amenities were wonderful!

We had a very enjoyable stay. All staff were excellent and they arranged three trips for us. The courtesy bus was super, the driver was prompt and very helpful. We were able to watch England rugby in Sorrento and still get back on the courtesy bus. We enjoyed seeing all the local sights. Would recommend Hotel Caravel.

Hotel was great. Its not brand new, but its very clean and the staff was excellent. Location is about a 20 min walk from downtown sorrento but they have a free shuttle that runs close to there every 30 mins. Wonderful places to eat near by. The only issue we had is we thought the beds were very hard, but thats not something to really complain about.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are immaculate. Wide selection of breakfast. Poolside calm and relaxing, plenty of sun beds. Free shuttle bus into Sorrento was brilliant.

The staff was great, especially during the free breakfast which was very good. 1 day they had eggs to order, wish it was every day. Lots of choices, even gluten free pastries. Room was good. The free shuttle to Sorrento was the best. It's a 7 minute drive.Try to book at least 30 minutes in advance or you may have to wait for the second run. Though that's not a long wait. My only minor complaint would be they were unable to provide clear information on what the excursions the hotel provides (I think there is someone there on Saturdays who books as well, but we weren't there). We booked an Amalfi/Positano big boat group tour. We wanted the small tour but they were already booked (do this in advance if you want). The large group was much cheaper. We asked when it returns, we were told 5. We got back a little after 7 and were super exhausted. It was very hot. Amalfi and Positano are similar. After doing 3 hours at Amalfi, 2 1/2 at Positano was a lot in the heat. However, it was a really good value. My last night I asked to book a taxi to the airport and was told it was too late. Eventually they found someone. We had to pay 150 cash or 200 card. 150 is close to what it should be, but I prefer to pay card. That being said, front desk are all super friendly and try to help. Last complaint is they keep your passports at the front desk in plain view of everyone. I saw the desk unoccupied a few times. That's just a nightmare waiting to happen. That being said I would definitely return.

Not sure when I will be back to Sorrento but whenever that is I will be staying at Hotel Caravel. The service by all the staff is outstanding and the pool is so clean and very refreshing. The staff were so helpful with suggestions for tours and sightseeing. The breakfast and the service at breakfast was great as well. The shuttle to town was so convenient. And even on the day we were leaving we could store our bags, use the pool and even use the courtesy shower facilities after. Overall 5 out of 5

Regular visitor here for many years and always enjoy our stay there and will return. Great staff, friendly and we like the cleanliness. The food is very good, as is the location and everything just seems to work for us. Only issue this time was the noisy young couple in the room next door for a couple of nights playing music after 11pm, but that is not at all the hotel’s fault. The hotel staff were very sympathetic that we had disturbed sleep and offered us another room which was very helpful.

This hotel needs a lot of improvement to rate as a 4 Star in my opinion. (Yes it does have a nice pool and garden which is great, and I guess helps it get an extra star) Yes the outside looks excellent but unfortunately the interior is very dated, especially the rooms which appear to have no noise insulation at all, the beds are hard and the bathrooms are just so outdated. Unfortunately that is not the end of it. The food is the worst we have had anywhere in the last decade that we can recall, and certainly the worst we had in Italy in the proceeding two weeks. I strongly suspect the Chief has been there for many years and does no realise things have changed. I would suggest he is taken out to one of the many excellent restaurants in town for him to see how it can be done. I am very surprised at how good the rating are. We can only assume some others don't get away very often and are pleased not to have to cook themselves.

Older hotel about 20 min walk to city center. Staff very friendly and helpful, daily breakfast buffet was very good, pool very nice, rooms spacious and clean, bathroom and shower were good, hot water more than enough, good Wi-Fi access. Shuttle option was very nice except didn’t run in the morning to get to town for tours. Other than that we were very happy with our stay!

Great hotel. All staff were excellent & professional. Rooms were slightly dated but clean with everything you need. The free shuttle to and from Sorrento was a great bonus. Our driver Gregorio was very friendly. Nice pool & breakfast was plentiful.

The entertainment by the bar every day. Also shuttle to Town center

Very pleasant hotel excellent staff

Had a great experience staying at this Hotel. We picked it because it was close to the local train station and away from the busy downtown. Hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The free shuttle into Town was an excellent feature. Breakfast was really nice. The Hotel Restaurant manager always went above and beyond to make people happy. If you bring a baby be prepared to have him show him or her off to the rest of the guests. Cost was very reasonable for rooms and and restaurant. Nightly entertainment in the bar. Overall an exceptional place to stay away from all the downtown crowds and noise. The views were exceptional from the balcony and upper deck!

Renovated rooms, Incredible views of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius from our room, well located, available parking. Only thing that needs improvement is the selection of items available at breakfast, is so so, other than that I do recommend this hotel.

hotel was ok - no hot tub contrary to the add - something we were counting on shuttle goes to one spot only and is not available between 1- 4pm

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. There was a regular shuttle to and from the hotel to Sorrento centre which was great. The pool looked lovely but we didn’t get the opportunity to go for a swim. We were given an upgrade to a sea front room which was lovely!

Good staff, Great Food, Efficient transport to Sorrento provided. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Good showers. I would stay again.

Although the hotel was a little dated and needed some modernising, found the stay at Hotel Caravel lovely and warm. Staff were super friendly and always tried their best to give their best comfort to us. From the receptionists, to the maintenance team, breakfast/bar team and the shuttle bus driver, we felt we could not thank them enough. The hotel also offered excursions which really benefitted us, especially when we booked things last min, was able to go to Capri for a reasonably priced tour. The live music at night time at the bar were a particular highlight. The hotel was located at a convenient spot for us to hit several parts of Italy such as Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento etc Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and again can’t thank the team enough.

Excellent hotel

Great place. The only one thing to improve; lunch is only served outdoors, there are tables not being used indoors. When its hot its too hot to sit outdoor so dont get why this is not changed.

Excellent service and staff members. Very close to all attractions within walking distance. Free bus shuttle takes to and from Sorrento main tourist attractive areas. Highly recommended to stay at this Hotel

Our 5th time here over the years. Service cleanliness excellent. Staff welcoming and friendly. a haven from the madness of Sorrento. Also great to have the availability of the shuttle bus too into Sorrento. We used it more this time due to extreme heat.

Probably the best feature of this property was without question the staff. Very helpful and wanting to please. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Lovely kept hotel, very clean and with great service. The room we had was really nice but would be lifted so much by more modern bedding and curtains.
