We had a great time, the staff were all very helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful lots of space for family of 5, beautiful pool, very clean, we had breakfast and dinner there both of which were very nice. highly recommend

Food was lovely & very filling, staff also lovely and helpful. I wouldn't recommend getting a beauty treatment though, left waiting for 10-15 minutes and treatment was over within an hour even though I was told it would take 1 hour &1/2 or 1 hour & 3/4, facial wasn't anything to write home about, no headband or anything to protect hair during treatment.
Waiting staff very nice, helpful and friendly during our meal in Suttons bar/restaurant

This was by far the lowlight of our trip so far. Terrible signage on where to go for registration, tv didnt work, main lift broken down one day, alternate luft was in hallway with lits of trash, returned to room at 3:30 and had not been cleaned, asked for clean glasses and was told they just rinse them out?? When we called the desk for help, it rang and rang and was never answered. Called outside number and was still not answered. Had to go down to desk to get help. We would never stay here again.

One night business stay. Very comfortable clean room. There is ample parking however as I had arrived in the late evening the signage for parking for the reception was poor. I ended up parking at what looked like the front of the hotel but was actually the banquet hall. Luckily I was able to get access through the swing doors and find my way to the reception once inside.

Mattress poor, not up to standard for hotel price point, otherwise nice hotel
1.5
Overpriced for what is offered. Very basic room, no toiletries, old spa area open to public. Reception staff seems very tired. OK for short business stay, wouldn't go there with family.
5.0
Nice setting, nice room
4.0
Not a complaint but under some remodeling that made moving around the property a little combersome.

I only stayed one night..
However it was clean, quiet with spacious room..

Amazing and curious staff, at reception and in the restaurants.

The pictures make it look pretty fancy, the lobby and restaurant are pretty nice but the rooms need serious upgrades. It’s quite loud. Something slammed against the wall during the nights- twice seemed like someone was being thrown against the wall!
The family rooms are pretty small- they just give 2 beds vs one. That’s just a standard room, not a family room.
The gal that checked us in was lovely. She helped get us moved away from the door right by the elevator (and I mean it was right next to it). The restaurants were nice, buffet breakfast is huge. FYI - they bring you the food, and they bring double sized portions, so take this into account when ordering, a couple can share one of most of the breakfast selections. It was a great breakfast and service was wonderful.
shops and restaurants are a short walk away. The gym is ok, but also needs upgrades and fans!
Also, if you’re not familiar with this rule, the pool requires swim caps- as Americans we didn’t know this was a thing! Also the lifeguards were kind of jerks. My kids didn’t realize they weren’t allowed to be in the hot tub. The way they told my daughter was “ are you 16?”. Come on! You can nicely let her know you have to be 16, don’t be a sarcastic jerk to a kid. She didn’t even understand what he was getting at!

Good comfortable hotel

The Good:
- Good location with easy access to shops, major roads.
- Quiet
- Staff
- Restaurant is ok (bit pricey)
The bad:
- Some parts feel very dated.
- We had an infant who is crawling at the moment. Floor in the room was filthy as judged by her hands.
- The shower was horrible. Drain was blocked (we rang about it around 16:30, was only unblocked at 21:30), and it only ran a full pressure.
- Toilet seat bumpers were dark yellow which meant it wasn't changed in years.
- Lift had exposed cover plate showing wires behind it.
Overall very poor.

Room not ready for check in. Lighting in bedroom very poor.

As usual friendly reception, quick and easy check in, room large with tea coffee and room safe. Unusual feature of a four poster bed a bit out of character for a modern hotel. Stay here in a regular basis and the dinner menu was becoming a bit predictable, glad to see it's been revamped.

We were in an older part of the hotel. It was very dark and needed updating. Hallways had a sewage odor. Not pleased.

We as a family of 3 had an amazing stay at Rochestown Park Hotel. The location alone was perfect for exploring east cork via car. We also took the train from little island to cobh- cork and it was so handy for parking etc. The room was big, clean and had comfortable beds with the added bonus air-conditioning . We had the addition of a mini fridge and it was perfect. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and the reception staff always had a friendly smile and conversation as we passed on the way to the pool. The pool facilities were lovely for a family and never too busy. We had room service for dinner and food was delicious, hot and prompt. To top it all off, Rochestown park staff Joanne and Jonathan were very discreet and organised a surprise for my birthday in conjunction with my very clever tech savvy son! Rochestown park kindly gifted me a substantial voucher and birthday dessert plate which left me speechless. We used it for an absolutely scrumptious dinner that evening and Danielle sent up surprise drinks complimentary with a lovely note. Even without this special touch, we highly recommend Rochestown Park Hotel. There are renovations going on with decor but none interfered with our holiday. The hotel itself was a busy spot with guests staying but because of its vast size it never felt crowded. Thank you Rochestown Park and Cork for a special 5 days.

We had a comfortable stay in the Rochestown Park Hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the pool was great for those traveling with children.

The staff was great and the area was perfect. We did get there very late and left early, so we didn’t get to look around much. But our room was lovely!

2 night stay ending a trip along the west coast. Lovely hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms and nice facilities although we were out most of the time so didn't use them apart for breakfast which was good although I do prefer self service.

Shabby and expensive , no light in the bathroom and poor quality breakfast

Lovely Hotel but the noise coming through from the floor above was unwelcomed.

One night stay. Signage is very poor can not see the entrance until right there, big gateway but hotel name is not visible from the road. Then when driving in the sign for reception sends you to the back of the property to the leisure centre. Staff in there said common problem and directed us where to go. The hotel reception is very difficult to see from the driveway or car park. Reception staff more interested in chatting to one person than serving the queue of people waiting. Our room was large comfortable bed. Not currently a 4star in my opinion in need of renovations. Broken tiles in bathroom with mould obviously an issue on the grout. Stains on carpet.

Nice hotel but odd in places. On driving in, we saw a 30-year-old fire engine parked in the hotel car park, seemingly decommissioned and parked there for some time? Administratively, the hotel seemed a bit cumbersome and slow. Our check-in queue took 10-12 minutes to clear even though there were only 3 people ahead of us. When I rang the bistro to book a table for dinner, the gentleman took a long time explaining to me how busy they were, hardly any tables left, more people booked in from a large party, etc. We arrived down at the appointed time and the bistro was well over half empty - but it still took 6-7 minutes queueing to wait for the restaurant manager to tell the waiter which table to allocate. Despite the administrative inefficiency, the dinner was nice and service was good. Finally, my room (523) was a bit dated with some tired furniture, but the most odd aspect was the lights in the ceiling which changed colour every few seconds - there was a control panel beside the bed with 10 unmarked buttons on it, and I eventually figured how to switch it off. One wall of the room was entirely mirrored glass. The whole experience was very 1970s disco!

The staff were really friendly and rooms kept really clean. Nice bar with dining options.

Large hotel in Douglas Co Cork. It was busy with social functions but due to being on the 5th floor I wasn't impacted by noise. Hotel room was clean but corridors and shared areas were dated and a bit shabby in places
1.5
The room was ok but the lighting was poor. The bathroom was very dated. The shower cubicle was very small with a fixed shower head which made it very difficult to get in.
The room service food was good. And the staff were very polite.

Lovely helpful staff, good choice in restaurant- and good room rate.

My wife had stayed in the same hotel in December and had an amazing room so we booked it for the family. The room shown on the website was nothing like the room we were given!
The lead up to the room smelt of Damp and the carpets were thread bare and patched in places. The rooms carpets were black in places and covered in stains. The bathroom shower was small and the water pressure was awful so unusable. The toilet flush was hanging off the system and the whole bathroom was dated and old.
The sheets smelt musky as if they had been stored somewhere damp. There was no bedside table so we had to use a chair! The room had two plugs which were on the other side of the room to beds.
We complained and the staff were very good and moved us to a better room free of charge. The staff throughout the stay were excellent. The hotel itself needs updating, the windows are ill fitted and a lot of condensation. The aircon was so noise and didn’t even cool the room.
The food is nothing like is advertised on the posters and website and at best was OK. The whole place needs an update and modernised. We won’t be staying again unless a lot improves. But credit to the staff who were excellent, they just don’t have much to work with!

My favorite hotel in Cork. Outstanding hotel in every way, from the reception staff to the bar/restaurant staff. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you Rochestown Park Hotel!

A solid weekend away I would say, great food, comfy room, nice atmosphere, decent area around the place, the works. I just wish I could’ve gone straight to the pool instead of going through a changing room, that was the one downside. Still, everything else was on point.
2.0
Large hotel, catering mainly to conferences and larger gatherings. Not a bad place, but lacks a little soul, if you are not a rather large group of people.
A nice restaurant connected to the hotel.
Rooms were a bit dated and location is a little bit far for a walk down town. But I wouldn’t mind going back.
