We had a wonderful time. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. They did a great job of scheduling wine tasting reservations. They were very helpful!

They upgraded my room. Staff very friendly. In the middle of a remodel so this is going to be a fantastic place when done. My room was all brand new so I suppose when full it could be a problem. One of the pools was under renovation but two other pools open so no biggie

Friendly staff tried to give us a quiet room. 30' from a major road with trucks. Room had flies, cheap bed, broken wall outlet. Carpet was well worn. I would swear this was a motel6 or something in its previous life. Staff is nice, owners need to step up.

First attempt the room key didn’t work, second attempt there was a water leak in the bathroom. We finally received a decent room on the third attempt. Bikes were a great perk and location was decent. There is construction going on onsite and hot tub was out of service.

It was an average place no frills but a good place to rest after a long trip. The one thing I would have hoped for is better AC unit though especially in the hot Calistoga weather.

The restaurant was closed in the morning because all of the chefs called in sick. The pool was smaller than expected, murky the first day and closed the second. The hot tub and steam room were also out of order. But the room was spacious and cute, and the spa was wonderful.

Unfortunately, we got food poisoning from an iced coffee we purchased from the bar. We had planned an anniversary getaway for the weekend and sadly spent out only night there in our hotel room sick.
The property is gorgeous and staff are wonderful. I recommend them lowering their currently nightly rate as the whirlpool is being worked on and out of service. The bathrooms at the pool could’ve been cleaner. There was also no shower gel in our suite.

Great location with reasonable amenities such as bikes and a fire pit (which was shut off exactly at 10pm .. bummer.) Front desk provided excellent recommendations. Staffing at restaurant seemed a bit off. Seasoned person helped out after a few hiccups. Rooms were comfortable but heard the TV from neighboring unit until after 1am.

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the stay . Town was within walking distance . A half mile away . There was a bakery with coffee and crumpets open very early ; ). And restaurants as well as a local grocery store .
Beautiful town all the way around . And would highly recommend anyone going there .

One of the main reasons to go to Calistoga is to relax in the hot mineral water, which is what we’d always done there in the past. Unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t working…for the past year. We were told the other pools were hot, but they weren’t. Not very relaxing really. The room was nice and most of the staff was nice, except the person who checked me out when I was leaving. Kind of left me with an unwelcome feeling so I probably won’t go back too soon.

Property is dated and you can hear right through the walls - like literally every word of the conversation of the folks next door. Shower has a ceiling mounted rain bird shower head only so your hair is getting wet whether you like it or not. All rooms front to the outside parking lot so if security is a concern for you, this is not the place. Cute kitschy design and soft beds, great pillows.

I always have a great time here, I visit about once per quarter. They overbooked and my stay that I reserved for a dog friendly King Camper was relocated to an ADA two queen instead. The room was the worst I ever stayed at here. There was black mold by the sink, the paint job around the door was terrible and the floor did not seem like it was mopped. The second window’s blinds were also not adjustable. Overall we still had a great time, the staff was awesome as usual, I just think the dog friendly rooms need more attention to cleanliness and black mold.

We loved this hotel, it’s walking distance into calistoga which is a very sweet town with lots of lovely restaurants and wine bars. The surrounding views from the hotel is gorgeous. The room was lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the warm pool. Overall a great stay.

Our stay was great overall, especially the pool!!! However, there was a very embarrassing moment that should never have happened. We did our check-in, got our keys and when we entered the room assigned to us, that room was already occupied by other people. I went back to the front desk, they apologized and placed us in a different room. Could have offered an upgrade or a courtesy drink at the bar or something to make up for the embarrassment… but nothing.
I opted to focus on having a good time, but the customer service after a mistake like this could have been better.

Absolutely charming old restored motor lodge. Zero complaints about the vibe. The grounds could have been a bit cleaner, sidewalks weren't swept and there was trash scattered in the landscaping BUT the landscaping was really pretty. Phenomenal location.
We did ask for housekeeping to visit the room on day 2 to replenish some of the toiletries that weren't present at check in and never received them. We did have to visit the front desk each evening to get coffee for the next morning. If you're not going to provide housekeeping at least deliver coffee BUT the provided coffee was delicious.
A solid 3 or 4 star rating but not quite five star because of lack of attention to detail.
Would stay again but would have slightly different expectations.

The camper room are very unique. Walls are thin so you can easily hear your neighbor next door. The number of people and children using the wading pool was ridiculous. If the large adult spa is not working there should be some room compensation. The whole pool area was too crowded. This use to be a nice and small venue. It has grown too much.

Everything was great, really liked the experience, location, friendly team, etc. The only thing is the hot tub was not working and this was our second stay in two years where that was the case. it would be nice when staying in the winter months.

I have been coming to this hotel for a number of years. I enjoy my stay. This time my shower was really filthy all full of mold. I was afraid to step in it without a towel to lay down. The inside needs some repainting and the towels weren’t their usual soft striking white. Like any hotel over time there are items that need to be updated. I would hope this review will help target some of those areas. The staff is slate helpful and chipper. I just wasn’t completely satisfied with the cleanliness of my room this trip.
