I recently stayed at San Juan Hotel, and overall, it was an excellent experience!
Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, I did find the room a bit too cold for my liking. Even after adjusting the thermostat, it remained colder than I would have preferred. Despite the temperature issue, the excellent customer service and attention to detail made the stay memorable.

The room had a funny smell , shower water wasn’t so good temperature was not good. It was freezing in the room.

The staff was amazing, very friendly. Bartender was excellent. Pool area was super nice. Room was everything we needed. Beds were super comfy. Will definitely return again.

This place has a nice little pool. That’s about it unfortunately. the rooms are very very noisy and not really nice! I don’t get the reviews at all!! Im assuming their from people Who’ve never been to an actual nice hotel before. Well you’re surely missing out!! All night long you can hear people banging above you. Our door looked like someone had tried to open it prior with a knife it was all messed up I actually took pics, it was pretty bad! I felt unsafe at night but during the day it was okay! It seems a little ghetto! Definitely not for kids! Some guy was outside asking us if we wanted to buy drugs right in front of my 6 year old it was very uncomfortable! Ghetto people smoking w33d right on there front steps, it’s literally mind blowing. You’re right next door to a liquor store so it’s pretty ghetto and sketchy! I wouldn’t say family friendly at all!!! Looks like a place you bring a one night stand for a night. Lesson learned to not cheap out lol south beach in general has gone down hill it seems. that’s not the same south beach i remember 17 years ago. Very sad

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were neat and clean. Pool is on the small side, but very peaceful/pretty area with lots of birds and plants. Lobby area is comfy and all areas were clean. The shower head in our room needed attention as it was leaky. The cafe at the pool was reasonable and had nice breakfast. Restaurants in the area can be pricey so this was a good option. The location it great, short walk to beach and having access to lounge chairs and umbrella was WONDERFUL. I'd like to stay here again, lots to do.

We had a good stay. It’s an older hotel, not fancy but nice. Across the street from the beach—easy to access. Free coffee in the morning by the pool which was nice. Free beach loungers and umbrellas provided by one of the companies on the beach—just give them your room number. The front desk will give you a tote with towels as you leave for the beach. Extremely walkable area with tons of restaurants and shops. No need for a car. We visited at the tail end of Spring Break. Definitely busy but not a wild or crazy atmosphere on this part of the beach. Would stay again when visiting.

$42 resort fee when we checked in and nowhere in my reservation did it specify, $45 parking fee. AC does not work !!! We walked out at 8 am
To go get breakfast and when we came back we were already checked out. The manager said he “assumed” we checked out, we left the do not disturb sign on our door and they still walked in. 2 outlets in the entire room!! What a joke. Never again will I return or recommend this place.

We loved the location and how accessible it was to all the shops and restaurants and even better to the beach that you can just walk to. The hotel staff very friendly and attentive.

My stay was for 5 days and the property location and room was okay. Room condition was not great but okay. On the third day or so i room service was requested and i expected the room to be clean. The room was made and just realized that the maid did not bother to do any cleaning inside the bathroom. The soap stain was as it was there from the day one and shower booth was not clean at all. Very disappointed when the maid did picked up the tip from the table.
Also, had to report to the front desk constantly because there was smoke smell that enter into my bathroom through the bathroom vent at mid night, and 6am constantly over my entire stay.

Loved the bar. Loved the cookies and water upon arrival. Did not read the fine print so was caught off guard with the $84 resort fee. It wasn’t a resort as I define resort. I did like that they had the chairs and umbrella on the beach. Great area. Great staff.

My whole experience from the moment I arrived to the moment I left was excellent. The bed was comfortable, inside room I didnt not hear neighbors so I was able to rest well.The other small accomodations were great as well. I will be coming back here for sure.

Great location, good pool area with little cafe for drinks and food off of pool. For the downfalls, Air conditioning barely put out (switched rooms still was barely on), hotel was dated. Would recommend for the location. I was *VIP* per Expedia and was supposed to receive a free bottle of sparkling wine but did not happen.

Very Nice and Clean!!! Great looking place!! Everything is close by and in walking distance. They have a bar inside and by the pool!! Pool is nice and not used much so you might get it to yourself sometimes which is cool because everyone is at the beach most of the time. They give you Beach chairs and umbrellas to use at the beach. This was a very nice stay and Convenient. Staff were very friendly and help-full!!

Everyone who worked at this facility were the nicest people I’ve ever met! Kudos to the staff! The hotel is very run down, there were bugs crawling on the wall, toilet did not flush. The pool area is very small, and only had 6 chairs and two cabana. The staff on the beach was horrible! They are not part of this hotel, but just an fyi if you are more than two people you have to pay for another chai/umbrella which is $50.00. Again amazing job to the staff such wonderful people.

We had a basic city view room. It faced a wall and had noisy air conditioning outside. One of our friends booked a pool view room - it was a much better room. I would recommend the upgraded room. Our room had a musty smell - I asked for an alternative room and they did offer one but it was no better. The location was utterly perfect and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
