Hay, we had a great stay. The staff was great. They attended to all our needs, and the food was incredible.
The best of the hotel was the location and the restaurant.

The mattress was to hard , stiff. Not recommendable to stay many days.

It was a lovely and romantic stay. We will definitely recommend it to all of our friends.

The hotel grounds are lovely, with a beautiful, romantic, and lively garden in the middle of the hotel. The food and drinks were superb at both the bar, and the restaurant, and the "scene" couldn't have been more enjoyable. The hotel itself was extremely well located and walkable to most of Rome's most fantastic sites. And, the service was fabulously helpful and attentive.

Hotel de Russie’s location is amazing, walking distance from most of Rome’s gorgeous landmark and the walk itself is enchanting.
Staff is helpful, room is very clean, furniture is chic, happy we got upgraded... but location is amazing

stayed in Hotel De Russie for 3 nights on a business trip. The room was average for luxury hotels and not large. Big disappointment was dinner in the dining room - I hosted a large client dinner and the food did not met expectations; service was excellent, but I had far higher expectations from the chef. Breakfast buffet was terrific and the service from the staff was notably attentive and excellent. Daniel in the gym provided a warm greeting and good conversations. If given the choice, I would probably not return to the hotel.

I did not like the restaurant service: Not very polite hostess staff. I sat on a chair in the outside restaurant that was saturated with water from the previous nights rain... Unfortunately, my silk expensive pants got stained... Staff did not know how to handle. Offering to dry clean for free would have been an option... Food was good, however. Breakfast bar can improve. It was not easy to accommodate spa appointments for two. I had to cancel. Spa persona was rude. Room was very nice with large bathroom. Very clean. Mattress was not comfortable. Definitely no memory foam. I stayed previously at the Holiday Inn Aurelia where the bed was much more comfortable. For the 5starts given, definitely overrated and overpriced. No pool, no tennis courts... Definitely not 5 star-hotel...

We were in Rome celebrating our wedding anniversary. We booked a superior room and received upon arrival an upgrade to a junior suite. The hotel had champagne and chocolates in the room as a welcome gift. The hotel is perfectly situated at the Piazza di Popolo, and has its own private garden as well. The staff at the hotel was super friendly and very helpful. I will be staying at the Hotel de Russie on my next visit to Rome.

Decided to go to `Rome for husband's birthday. Usually I find most Rome hotels pretty average but this was a great treat. The staff were charing and warmhearted and sincerely wanted to please. The room to book is 231, which has lovely views over the garden. The location is perfect, close to everything. Have apertivi in the garden, they serve all sorts of yummy nibbles. Prices ( especially for breakfast) are steep but the quality is excellent. There is no charge to use the wonderful spa and fitness centre. We both had massages which were very food, lovely staff. there's a sauna and steam and a huge jacuzzii with whirlpool jets. The hotel is small and exclusive yet has everything you'd expect from a bigger luxury hotel. Even the blow driers are exceptional, quiet and fast--I liked the fact that there as so much care in all the little details. Linens, slippers, amenities all great. I wish they had coffee/tea makers in the room, would be the perfect touch to an already first class hotel experience.

Very nice hotel, very well located with very confortable rooms

Great location,Though our room was on the small size, it was very comfortable. It did lack a dresser therefore we had to use the drawers located in the closet area which were quite small. Hotel staff were very anxious to please. The restaurant setting is beautiful. The staff and quality of food was excellent. The open dining area and gardens are a real jewel. We would very much like to return and we will be staying at this hotel.

Class act in every way but the food a bit too pricey. $35 euros is a bit much for coffee and croissants, but otherwise always an amazing stay. Staff and front desk people and concierge: top notch

would recommend adding new modern features such as Ipad docking station etc

We do luxury and this was it. The entire experience was first class. The hotel is expensive but worth every penny. We had a suite overlooking the courtyard and intially thought it might be noisy in the evenings but it wasn't. The restaurant setting and food were superb. The staff and and service were great. We used the hotel car service to and from the airport which was more costly than local taxis but far less hassle.
We will return. If your decision is whether to have an top of the range room somewhereelse or a traditional room choose the later and spend the difference on the excellent gin martinis. At 20 euro a piece they may make you cough but the taste is a very effecitive anaesthetic.
We will return
