Very hot in rooms. A/C not working loud noises all around, would not stay here again

It was a warm day when we arrived and the AC did not work in our assigned room. The front desk clerk kept ignoring our complaints and told us that the technician said the AC system was "working fine". But the tecnician never even came to our room. After we complained again, we were moved to another room. The AC did work in the second room, but not as well as a good AC system should. There was a kettle in the room along with a supply of coffee and tea, which is nice to have. However, the only cups provided were flimsy paper cups that were too hot to hold when they contained hot liquid. Ceramic cups, or even sturdy paper cups would be an improvement. The bed was comfortable and there was a choice of pillows. All of the other staff, except the one mentioned previously, were very cordial and very helpful.

O quarto é confortável e o hotel muito bem localizado, perto da Gare e dos principais pontos turísticos da cidade. Apesar de não ter influenciado no conforto, a decoração do quarto está um pouco desgastada, não muito condizente com o padrão Mercure.
Importante: o quarto não possuía geladeira e nem cofre, o que sentimos falta.

Stayed there for business for 2 nights. Hotel is well situated, close to all restaurants and bar and a 10 mins walk from central station. Amazing. The hotel is very clean and rooms are conformable. Does the job.

Really disappointed with this hotel. More of a two stars rather than a four. Room was impersonal no toiletries. Breakfast room shabby and no staff at all. Location is ok and bed was good. Definitely overpriced and definitely not a four star. Wouldn't stay here again

Location is right downtown. Street car and access to sights is easy. Parking is not easy. We parked about .5 mile away and had to walk. They have a couple of spots under the hotel for super small cars at 16€ per day. Parking after 7p and on Sunday is free. Rooms on front of hotel can be noisy if you are a light sleeper. We weren’t bothered. Rooms are basic, comfortable and clean.

The hotel is perfectly situated for a business trip to Angers. Close to the historic center and the train station. The room is perfect for a few nights, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is generous. The front desk staff is very welcoming and accommodating to the needs of the group I was traveling with. We will book again next year.

My bedroom was far too hot to sleep in, and so I had to keep the window open all night (so the noise from the street was disturbing). We appreciated SO MUCH that the front desk was ACTUALLY MANNED until long after midnight during a weekend holiday period in a small non-touristy city. We would have otherwise had to sleep in our car that night as EVERY other hotel in Angers that weekend was either FULL, closed for the national holiday, or plain not answering the phone! We further appreciated that the reception was friendly and allowed us a late departure (in light of the fact that we didnt check in until about 2AM). A business type hotel, so not the most beautiful or charming property, but a solid clean & efficient place on a commercial street near many services. 5-10 minute walk to Angers cathedral.

This is a nice hotel. It is clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and professional. The breakfast was good. I do not recommend the attached restaurant. This Mercure hotel is within convenient walking distance from the train station and a vibrant, upscale, shopping area.

My review is mixed. First I was given a terrible room. Very small. Not even a single star has that kind of room.
The first night we stayed in this terrible room. They should get rid of the room totally and I give the staff person who assigned this room the lowest rating.
The 2nd and 3rd nights were good. Antonia listened to my complaint, and agreed to what I say, and assigned a nice room for the 2nd and 3rd nights. She simply gets the highest rating.

This is a nice hotel in the city centre, but I'm not sure it deserves its 4-star rating as the facilities seemd quite limted. Access is also a problem as the street outside has been traffic-calmed and a tramway occupies most of the road space, making it impossible to park whilst checking in. We found a space around the corner but could not stay there as we were told all the streets in the area would be closed for a marathon on the following morning, so we would not be able to get out of the hotel car park. We were told to park in a public underground car park about 500 metres away. The price of this turned out to be quite reasonable. The hotel itself was well maintained and the room was clean, but the bed was rather small. We enjoyed breakfast on the Sunday morning, everything was of the hifghest quality and very fresh.

Although the receptionist was a little unfriendly at first, the hotel was a much higher standard than we expected. It is on a main road and was easy to find. We thought that our front room might be noisy, especially with road works, but this did not trouble us. The room was attractively furnished, lovely bathroom; in fact everything we could have wanted. Handy street parking.

Very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, as it was such great value for money. Lovely room, good size, chic decor and absolutely spotless. The bed was very comfortable - hurray! The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a central location, near some nice restaurants and bars. We only stayed one night but would definitely recommend it.
