The hotel is very nice. The rooms are fairly spacious. It can be noisy if there’s a wedding going on, but overall I would recommend it. It’s conveniently located to Sturbridge, MA and the quiet northeast corner of CT. It’s a good value for the money.

Very pleasant stay. Arrived late and hungry. Surprised to find pub open and serving. Food was not only really good but very reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. Great find… oh, lastly… Starbucks coffee in the room. I shall return!

Hotel is spacious and beautiful! Service was great, everything was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing time relaxing at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the staff at Shades Lounge. Mel made us feel very welcome, made fantastic drinks and was quite attentive to our needs. She truly is the backbone of that restaurant. We only have one suggestion. We were surprised that there wasn't any complimentary coffee available in the lobby. We have grown accustomed to this practice in most hotels and, given the quality of your hotel, we thought for sure there would be free coffee offered all day.

Beautiful historic building converted to a wonderful hotel/conference center. So much history and part of a great town.

Staff was great. Really friendly. Common areas were lovely. Rooms good.

We were in town visiting our son and the Wellsworth was the perfect place. We had a very quiet stay and actually slept better than at home. The two meals we had at Shades were both enjoyable and the option to be served on the patio was very pleasant. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

what a GREAT find, we absolutely loved our stay here and would like to spend 3-4 days next time. We came in town for the Brimfield Antique and Flea Market Show and found this property. It was amazing - pool, hot tub, health club, Gym, Hand Ball / Racquetball, it really offers so much. Pool tables in the lounge area. The property is rich with history and it is beautiful.

When we checked in (at 2a) the girl at the front desk was annoyed w something, told us she would be back, pushed the elevator button then kicked it and swore. We were only there 2-8a so can’t say much about experience. Room was big and clean. That’s all that mattered to us. We were just passing through.

We went and saw Graham Nash and Claritin at the treehouse brewery. It was a hotel close to the event. We have never been in the town before. What a lovely property we swam in the pool. It was very nice extremely clean very safe. We will definitely stay again. Very good value

The hotel is beautiful The indoor pool and hot tub were amazing. I used the fitness center every day. It was very well equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The food in both restaurants was very good!

The evening desk clerks were great...they helped with whatever was needed. The only comment I would have is that other hotels have microwaves in the rooms which come in handy to even reheat a tea...there are NONE in the rooms. There is one with vending machines which is a long walk depending where your room is. Also other hotels in the area offer a free buffet for breakfast. MARRIOTT... HOLIDAY INN... FAIRFIELD... HAMPTON... rather tacky to tell you at the desk that it'll cost you $10 more... I get get a breakfast outside the hotel for less...

We were very impressed with the history of the building and the story of the renovation. The fitness facility was the largest I've ever seen in a hotel, even offering 2 racquet ball courts. I didn’t use but I did enjoy the spa; the water was 102° and the jets were powerful. Nice pool too. Room was spacious and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable.

the restaurant chooses were not good. Shades had a very limited menu. I had to send back my prime rib, because it was undercooked and very fatty. Visions had a good selection of food, but you had to pay $17 per person. Maintenace did not keep up with the trash around the property

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Many Amenities on site and very clean.

It had a great fitness facility and heated pool with hot tub.

When we arrived, we were unable to access our room as it had been locked from the inside. When then staff broke in for us, the room was dirty as if someone had been hanging out -- empty bottles, a half-full canister of crackers, and pee in the unflushed toilet, as well as an open window. Staff was friendly, but there was garbage in the hallways and elevator every day.

Large, clean rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly personnel.

Start with good - friendly staff and good thermostat in our room. But otherwise quite a few small annoyances adding up to disappointment. On arrival, we were told: (1) Expedia guests could not get a complimentary upgrade (even though hotel seemed less than half full); (2) the dining venue where breakfast was to have been served was closed, and (3) rooms would be cleaned and refreshed only every other day. The last one meant we had to make beds, and our garbage pails would be emptied infrequently. More annoyances: The hotel charged $2.00 for coffee from a Keurig coffee-maker; particularly in light of the other inconveniences, the coffee should have been complimentary for paying guests (it turns out that hotel management was waiving the charge because the breakfast venue was unavailable, but we were only told that on the last day of our stay). Other frustrations: We had a hard time finding the TV channels we wanted, and it took effort to shake the shampoo and conditioner out of their small, tube-like bottles. One final note: although this isn’t the hotel’s fault, the neighborhood in which the hotel is located is pretty run down; we didn't feel safe walking around at night.

Wow I have NOTHING bad to say about my stay. Everything was absolutely FANTASTIC. The staff was amazing and the rooms were HUGE!!!!!!! Loved it! The pool and hot tub was our favorite. We also enjoyed the giant gymnasium/basketball court. 5 stars!!
