It was a last minute booking as I had made an error which left us with no accommodation. We were so relieved that they had a room & breakfast included. We were booked in promptly even though it wasn't check in time. We were offered upgrade for English breakfast for 2 &transport to airport. We were happy with both but it meant an extra cost of £25. We later regretted this as our English breakfast was a let down, I had to find someone to make sure we got the breakfast we paid, mushrooms were cold, sausages were nice but not worth it. Transport was a bit dear but it meant we didn't have to worry about missing bus to airport.

Nice and clean room. Close to Gatwick Airport but i couldn't hear the planes. Shuttle to airport is a great feature

Small room, which was ok.
Not particularly clean floor and bathroom.
A lot of noice from the hallway when late arrivals / early risers walked by the room. Paper thin doors.
Ended up with a parking fine, because the receptionist didn't note my license plate properly.
Overall, not a great experience, even though expectations where low.

Our check in was very smooth and friendly. We ate at the restaurant which offered a good choice of food and the staff were very obliging and helpful. The position of the hotel in relation to Gatwick Airport is very convenient and the hotel offers a shuttle service for a reasonable price. There is also free parking available. A great place to stay.

This was perfect for three sailing buddies just returned from Croatia late at night who needed a simple overnight stop somewhere just 10 mins from the Gatwick North Terminal. The triple bed room, although compact, was very clean, comfortable and adequate. Cooked brekkie was very good. And all at a very low cost for accommodation and brekkie! Staff were very pkeasant. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect for un early fly, or late arrival.

Very basic but ok for an overnight at the airport. Don’t expect anything fancy.
Hotels.com doesn’t advertise that the transfer is chargeable. £22.50 for a 5 minute drive. The property is tired and not particularly aesthetically kind on the eye. The staff were friendly. No food at 7:30. Bar is basic but functioning.

The GWHH was a convenient an economical stay. The owners are working on improvements, which are needed. The rooms are basic but servicable. Convenient shuttle to and from LGW. Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk to town, restaurants, grocery and train station.
We daytripped to London snd Brighton, seeing many popular sights and escaping the throngs at night. Loved Lunch at ShiRaZ. Quiz night at The Tavern.

Filthy Mice infested place. It should not be on hotels.com.
Every bit of the room was filthy with bad smells like dead mice or rat.
The guy that drives the van and the owners extremely RUDE, they just don't care.
Breakfast is a shambles with out of dates food in a dirty area.

It appears as though the owners are renovating the place, which is great news because the carpets and furniture are in bad shape and the walls may as well be paper. On a positive note, the sheets were great.

Stayed for 1 night before flight next day. I paid at the hotel, to be told i had to pay for my vehicle in the car park a sum of £12 .
Nothing mention about this fee before hand.
Average room but clean .

Room was too hot, with no controls. With string winds outside, couldn't leave the window open. Seemed like the room hadn't been cleaned, though the beds and bathroom where fine. We were able to walk to a fine pub for dinner. Their restaurant is very small and there was no one there when we tried it. The bar is only open after 6pm, so we couldn't have a drink on arrival. Price is reasonable and they did have transfer to airport.

Shame to see wallpaper in areas of the hotel ripped and missing. A lick of paint is needed to brighten the place. Feet were hanging of the end of the bed. I guess you get what you pay for. Three very very small beds crammed into a very small room. Wish I had payed more for a better experience

We stayed here as we had an early flight from Gatwick the next morning. Once we got in our room we noticed that it hadn’t been cleaned. Behind one of the beds, there was dirt, a used cotton ear bud and other wrappers. We then moved one of the beds closer to the other, only to find dog food scattered under the bed! This automatically made us uncomfortable to sleep in a room, knowing it hadn’t been cleaned. Also a heads up to travellers, although it seems dogs biscuits are allowed in the room, a mcdonalds is definitely not! They don’t allow external food, in the rooms incase it makes it ‘dirty’. Yes it’s a budget hotel so we weren’t expecting the ritz, but I wouldn’t recommend this.

The Manager was exceptionally professional…The Lobby Restaurant Menu and selection I made—Marsala Chicken w White Rice was very good, and I chose to dine there based upon Mr. Asmish’s recommendation…I most definitely would continue to choose this Hotel whenever in transit from Gatwick Airport to the US…

a bit of a sad little room, but convenient and reasonably priced. the bed was nice. the towel was soft.

Basic service and room. It just needs a slight refresh of bedding and curtains to not look so cheap. The room was cheap in price, so I wasn’t expecting much, though it provided I everything I needed. I think just for the asthetic aspect, just plain bedding would be better than the cheap looking mis- matched bedding and curtains they currently have. Would stay again though if only using as a transit stop before an early flight and only sleeping there for a few hours.

Basic hotel but clean, comfortable and convenient for pre-flight stay. Good value for money even with the parking fee (which I would rather it was added to the Expedia hotel rate rather than having to pay separately on site). Overall I would stay again if taking an early Gatwick flight.

Lovely place to stay. Very comfortable. Clean and tidy. Would definitely stay there again

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, close safe walk to town. Breakfast for a fee was ok. Hotel is old, messy, room was hot, no control over temperature. We opened a window on main floor all night, which isn't safe. Someone knocked twice then opened our door with a key at 7:30 am. Reception check-in and out wasn't very professional.

Booked with parking and breakfast, they insisted on charging for parking and wanted to charge for breakfast. This was then taken off the bill, however breakfast consisted of instant self made coffee, no hot offerings, even eggs! Cutlery was very poor wooden offerings. Left in disgust as staff were very unhelpful as well

The hotel was under renovation during our stay... I was aware of this when I booked and was fine with it. The facility is dated, so it's a good thing that they're doing the reno! Room was small, but beds were comfortable. The handheld shower head was patched together with tape and leaked profusely making the water pressure terrible. When searching for hotels, I specifically picked one with free parking but when I arrived, I was told there would be a parking fee of £12/night.
We opted to use the hotel's airport transfer service (£13). I was disappointed that the driver didn't help us with our bags and just stood by as the other (elderly) passengers and I wrestled them into the back of the van.
