The shower and shover chair was very dirty; shower head was terrible unable to stay I one position to take a shower. The jacuzzi drain was not working unless you held it with your hand.

East parking and good location. Room had no hand towels or wash cloths.

Everything was nice our first room the fireplace didn't work but they quickly mived us to a different room. I really liked the second room better because of the layout of the room. Great breakfast options too.

Front desk guy was so nice and friendly. He was that way through our 2 days there. I did notice you got good toilet paper which was wonderful !!

Very friendly staff and convenient location. The pool and waterslide are great. My room must have had a water leak becasue you could see it on the ceiling. Unfortunately, there were still pieces of paint/plaster on the chair that had not been cleaned. The hotel is starting to rrally show its age.

Staff was very nice and responsive. Fixed leaking shower next day. Great lobby to gather in. Pool was a hit with the kids. It’s not a 5star hotel but it’s clean and has all you need. Beds were comfy, towels are small but they brought more.

Check in went fine. Guy at front desk was friendly. Problem was my 2 rooms I rented (Connecting rooms). 1st room- No hand soap , hand towel or wash rag. Bathroom only had 1 bath towel with a nice blood stain on it plus no shower curtain. 2nd room- Had hand soap but no hand towels , or bath towels but had 1 wash rag. So of course I went down to front desk , and got what we needed plus a shower curtain for both rooms & yes had to hang my own shower curtain up for both of my rooms I rented. All I got from the guy at front desk was oh Im sorry & it seemed like no big deal. Since I was staying 2 nights , the next morning I decided to talk to new person at front desk & about how I found my 2 rooms. All I got from was well guess the housekeeper got busy doing something else & forgot to go back & finish. Well as someone who has been a hotel housekeeper... A room should be completely finished before you leave that room so you dont get busy & forget to go back. Forgetting to hang up a shower curtain is one thing but damn towels are something that no housekeeper should forget to put in a room. Breakfeast sucked to. "Waterpark" was fun the kids. This isnt the 1st American in Ive stayed in but this location gives American a bad name.

I first room the toilet kept backing up and the beds were terrible. Our second room tge refrigerator didn’t keep things cold and the air conditioning didn’t work well. Front desk personnel were great. Breakfast was ok

Night staff was amazing very funny and made our check in very easy and fun. Day staff not so much. We decided to stay 1 more day due to how nice night staff was and the room and almost changed our mind due to day staff.

The staff was friendly. I only have one complaint. The families that were in the pool area let their kids run rampant! The toddlers and teenagers were running, jumping and splashing everyone. They took over the hottub. We left because it was ridiculous! Some of the parents just left their small kids in the pool while they left and went, i don't know where. But, they never came back! The kids were goi g down the slide to clise together and hitting and landing on top of other kids that they didn't know! There needs to be more staff involvement in the pool area. More check ups on the guests in there. Especially, for safety reasons. Other than the horrible people in the pool area, everything else was really great!

Dirty - bathroom - no bath fans - poor breakfast - dirty sheets - old food in fridge - not returning

Perfect place to stay if you have kids! The pool/slide was a hit! We stayed during our trip to valleyfair.

The pipe in the bathroom has issues and kept making a banging noise unless we ran the water in the tub

No one at the front desk. Had to call and the front desk phone rang then the guy came from the back.

We loved that they are still continung to upgrade and fix up the property and rooms. We continue to love our stays, tho the pool area could definitely use some fixing up and changes such as the bathroom door, the temperature of the pool and if your going to have signs that say noone under the age of 14 allowed in hottub then enforce it or take signs down because let me tell ya....parents sure dont. We had a great time and as always will definitely be back.

The phones in the luxury king suite did not work. The water only got to warm. The bedroom tv remote power button didn't work. The outlets were loose/broken and we had to try a few times to get power to the bedroom tv. The exit sign was off the wall.

Pretty standard Americinn experience. Room bedding was old and stained. Not entirely certain it was cleaned between stays. Expected more out of the breakfast. Very Lackluster No bananas/granolabars/hardboiled eggs. OJ Machine was warm, not even chilled. Waterslide was a plus for the kids.

It was an enjoyable stay. Clean rooms and grandson loved swimming pool almost as much as grandma loved the hot tub. Would definitely recommend staying here while in Shokapee.

Shower water was warm and light burnt out in bathroom. Also pool closed (only reason we chose that hotel over others) but nice front desk people. Kids liked the waffle station in the morning.

The Good: Good location. Great price. Had a waterslide for the kids. GREAT water pressure in shower! The Not-So-Good: The room had some issues. The bathroom doorknob was completely busted and loose. We found a medicine dosage cup on the floor. One of the comforters on the bed was dirty. It's tough to tell whether it was a stained or just dirty. Overall - For the price, the good outweighs the bad. I wasn't expecting brand new and perfect. Obviously a few things could have been better but for the $ we had a safe place to stay and the kids loved the waterslide.
