If you have no other choice then sleep in your car. This place is a dump. Dirty, noisy, scary people everywhere. horrible breakfast, everything filthy and broken. On the plus side they allow pets and there isn't anything you could do to damage the room because it already smells like a dog used it for a bathroom. I seriously would sleep in my car before staying there.

The first room they put me in stunk, so I had to be moved, the only thing in this hotel that is air conditioned is the rooms, the rest of it is hot, stuffy, and smells bad, the pool looks unhealthy, that water does not look right, this is a horrible hotel and would never recommend it to anyone

This is a roach motel as of july 2024. 1st floor roon had large roaches. They moved us up stairs amd it was full of tini roaches and the ajoining room was able to lock us out bit we couldnt lock them out because our door was missing. We left and drove through the night.

The pool was cloudy, no microwave in room, not a lot of spots to plug in phone, some lights didn’t work. But I love the night shift lady. She was very nice and happy to help.

The Econolodge of Marion is the sole survivor of the 1970’s. It is definitely an old property. I didn’t use the pool, the hot tub was broken. The pool area is not air conditioned. Not good for summer weather but probably pretty amazing in winter. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was worth the extra savings as I am on a budget and was just in town for hiking in the Shawnee forest. If you are a delicate flower, this is not the inn for you. If not, it’s worth the extra money saved.

Smell of weed throughout the hallways. Littered with homeless people essentially. If you have kids, I would not recommend. If you are bringing a girl, I would not recommend. Solo Guy?….maybe bring a gun.

Checked in at about 2 am after getting off of work, was in town to help out a sister store of ours. Anyway; this very unkempt looking fellow was loitering around in the lobby when I arrived and chatted with the clerk as she was checking me in. As she goes to hand me my card, this random stranger asks; "what room did you put him in?" and she replied with MY ACTUAL ROOM NUMBER. This guy then continued to follow me around, even walked alongside my car as I was going to park. He kept hanging around me until I pulled my pistol out and clipped it to my hip and told him I'm going to turn in. Didn't sleep a wink that night, kept going out to check on the car and make sure my windows weren't smashed. I added a picture of the view from my room. Breathtaking is an understatement. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

AC in the buildings didn’t work, the vents were covered in dirt and there was pens and pencil stuck in it. The front desk receptionist was using drugs while we were trying to check-in. Super dirty and the smell was disgusting. There wasn’t a single corner of the hotel that was clean. I couldn’t even stay the night, as soon as I walked in I took my stuff and left.

The room was clearly not cleaned. There was hair all over the sink, toilet and floor. The toilet seat wasn’t even the right size of lid. There were flies and other dead insects. The sheets hadn’t been changed. There was no air conditioner in the building. The one in our room only worked part time. The smell was horrible. This is defiantly not a hotel we will ever stay at again! To top it all off there was pre let in a bucket in room!! Gross!!!

Not much of nothing.swimming pool dirty slimy, cockroachs , big fight in parking lot next door, kids right above us run stomping until 1 or 2 in the morning. One room had 5kids and parents in it. Never stay here again.

They didn’t have a hot tub as mentioned. The bar that they claimed to have was just beer being sold out of a cooler from behind the counter where you checked in. Roaches everywhere. Dirty floors. Swimming pool was dirty and we had to switch rooms because there was no tv in our room.

Did not feel comfortable here. Front area nasty.

I didn’t expect much really. It’s okay

It was a difficult stay because the smell of cigarette smoke permeated every part of the hotel. There were two roaches in the bathroom when I turned on the light at my arrival. The people who work there are great, but the general appearance and care can be improved.

Staff was amazing

Right when we opened the entrance door it smelled and was nasty. We got to our room right when i opened the door there was a dead mouse and riaches crawling around the door. We left and did not stay nor will we ever book again.

Two nights ago we stayed at this hotel and our room was filthy and unkept. There were bugs and mouse droppings and the carpet was stained and smelled like urine. There was s water stain on the ceiling that had black mold on as well as around the baseboard in the bathroom. The entire hotel had a bad smell. We could smell Marijuana smoke from the next room , and we were prety sure that some of the shady characters around the hotel were dealing drugs.There were lots of noisy children that we think live there full time. At the end of the hallway on the second floor was a low open window, with no screen on it. Bugs, birds, bats and mice could come in, not to mention that children could fall out of it. Very unsafe. The reason we chose this hotel was because it was afordable and convenient when we were ready to stop driving for the night, and it had a hot tub. As it turns out, the hot tub was empty and dirty and looked to have been that way for a long time. This place is a health hazard and needs to either have major renovations or to be torn down. It is the absolutely the worst hotel we have ever been in. The owners should wake up and tske care of their rundown properties.

Hotel looked very ran down and had visible stains and chipped paint. All normal commodities such as towels, coffee maker, iron and ironing board were available for a FEE!! Of course hot tub was out of service like it's McDonalds' ice cream machine.

Exterior doors don’t close by themselves. Open windows with no screens. No phones or coffee makers. Very limited breakfast.

The place was very dirty. The condition of the rooms were not great.

We had to switch to a different room due to how dirty and disgusting it was just to get switched to another room that was exactly the same! Do NOT stay here. They don’t care if it’s dirty. I had to cancel my reservation early because of how gross it is. NEVER AGAIN

Our room was nasty. It looked like it hadn’t been renovated or deep cleaned in at least a decade. We came back one day to find people in our room, supposedly cleaning even though we’d left the DND sign hanging on the door. Maintenance threw mothballs in our room, and it made me sick. When I brought it up to the front desk, I was gaslit and told that it’d be impossible for them to make me sick, even though they’ve always had that effect on me. I definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Staff was nice. But room was not clean. Stickers stuck everywhere, ripped curtains, etc. Breakfast photos inaccurate.... pool freezing ... game room was a single game. It was affordable but not what was expected

Dirty, loud and smelled of smoke.

There was an order when we walked into the first room that was a dead mouse laying in the bathroom on the floor. It had nothing cleaned. We called management they moved us to another room the second the heat didn’t work no one put in the work order the third day cockroaches on the wall in the living area and in the bathroom sink. We talked to the owner. He advised none of the problems we had were noted would not recommend unless you’re super desperate.

This was one of the most run down places i have stayed in. Everything was in poor condition, the curtain was barely hung up, it smelled, there were stickers randomlystuck on things and doirs, chipped paint, random marker drawings on the walls and it seemed like people lived full time in many rooms. Which would be a great thing for someone trying to get on their feet, but this is supposed to be a hotel Overall a rather odd and disturbing experience.

It’s terrible place to stay! Very dirty room and terrible staff!

I’ve stayed here in the past and it wasn’t bad but last night was horrible! Room was dirty, neighbors were up all night slamming doors and screaming at each other, also had a dog that barked all night long. Lady at front desk said they didn’t have any other rooms available and couldn’t give me a refund back.
