Very nice and charming hotel. The staff is amazing. We were welcomed like old friends and given numerous tips for our 3 day stay in Catania. Breakfast is good and you can get freshly made scrambled eggs ( real eggs!) served with a smile.
Order double espresso and add hot water to have really good coffee as americano is likely an instant coffee. Bed is very comfy with spotless white sheets. The area around looks a bit sketchy, but we never encountered any problems.

Liberty Hotel is truly Old World Elegance. From the high ceilings to the sitting room bar to the customer service it was like going back to a more genteel time —— but with a GREAT shower!

The staff at this hotel are amazing. They look after you - from prompt room service to advice on local travel and tours. I didn’t have an emergency but I’m sure if I had they would have helped.
The room was lovely - clean and the air con worked which was good as Sicily in August is very hot.
24 hour reception is a big bonus for solo travellers.
I would definitely stay there again.

A lovely stylish hotel just outside the centre but everything a walkable distsnce away. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival. The staff running the place are polite and extremely helpful. Breakfast and bar only, but many good eateries nearby.Next time in Catania Im definitely staying here.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Liberty Hotel. Our room was nice, staff are nice and friendly, breakfast was great, many restaurants and shopping right outside the hotel and within walking distance. Did a few excursions while there, they were nice. I recommend staying here.

This was a beautiful hotel, both the communal areas and the room. Lovely art-deco style and good air conditioning. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Easy to walk to all the interesting areas and restaurants in Catania. I’d definitely stay there again.

What a wonderful hotel!. Its not very often that you find a hotel that ticks all the boxs but The Liberty Hotel ticked them all.
The staff could not have bèen more helpful, they provided maps, help with trips, hiring a car and other transport options.
The hotel was very clean well decorated and good size rooms and bathrooms.
Good selection of breakfasts options both hot and cold and lovely area for an afternoon tea break.
Location was great, easy walk to all the main attractions along with food and drink.
I cant fault this hotel and highly recommend!

What ever you do dont get room 118 the the hotel rooms are on on one floor the other 6 floors are apartments and whoever is above that makes tons of noise no food on property staff is not friendly at all we changed rooms to jr suite the other room was tiny no room for luggage on floor to open a suitcase

We had a great 4 day stay at Liberty Hotel in Catania. It was in a great location for exploring the city and as a hub for sightseeing in the nearby areas of Mt Etna, Taormina, Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto. The hotel was beautifully decorated in art nouveau style. They provided an extensive breakfast and had 24 hour concierge who were knowledgeable and willing to help with travel planning. I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers wanting to spend time in Catania and nearby east coast destinations of Sicily with its train station and airport to facilitate travel in this area.

hotel is a gem, the area around the hotel not so nice!! hotel a 15 min. walk to the city centre and via etna and the subway this street is the walkway to most attractions. hotel rooms are large, beds hard, breakfast very good, hotel staff very very helpful.

This property was geographically okay. However, the hotel is very tired and all the premises need a serious update and refurbishing. staff was helpful and friendly. breakfast had alot to be desired. coffee was the worst we had in italy

Liberty hotel was perhaps the home of an aristocrat, it has a period decor & shows great pride in their work. The parlor was inviting and we spent time with family chatting, reading , drawing, having a drink. Outstanding staff!

Hotel itself is quite lovely but beds are hard as rocks. Location is about 10 minute walk to historical center which was a bit disappointing.

The Liberty was the last stop on our two week trip to the entire rim of Sicily. It was a wonderful end. The girl that checked us in was so friendly and joyful and gave us great directions to a place to eat. The room was marvelous. Felt like a countess! The perfect last night to a fabulous trip!
