Great place

This is our usual stop when we travel to our old stomping grounds. A short walk to quaint little shops and a good coffee stop.

Reception was warm

Close to old town… walking distance. Other than old town..,not walkable.

Friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Beautiful entry and room to relax out of your room. And the room was very nice. We stayed there because the activities we were in town for were Sat. afternoon and Sun. for Church Service and later in the afternoon a Funeral service. The only disappointment was the breakfast - which was advertised as a hot breakfast. We appreciate this convenience of eating at the motel. From the time we entered the breakfast room - we had to find the service attendant. There was no hot water for tea, no regular creamer set out for coffee, thus the first two trips for the attendant. Then, we get to the (hot part of the breakfast) open the lid and no sausage gravy left and no biscuits in site. Third trip to the attendant. Apparently she had been informed already. She said they were all out because the 'truck' had not made a delivery. So, we left and went out to eat. And that made our getting packed up to check out when we returned more of a rush , so we could get to church on time. My husband loaded up the car while I checked out. While I was checking out the Front desk attendant apologized again. She also informed me that the Kitchen attendant had found more sausage gravy. So, apparently when she was originally informed of the gravy being gone - she had not made any effort to look for more. Every time we had to knock on the door to get her attention - she was sitting talking on the phone. She needs to spend more time on her job.

Mattress is worn out. Bedding sheets are old and too short.

The front desk was very friendly and professional. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

This place reliable, but things so worn. The pool acceptable but not extra clean. Won’t stay again as they had Fox News playing in the lobby.

I'll start with the only PRO: the staff. These ladies did the best they could with a hotel that's falling apart. CONS: 1) there was no a/c on the main level common areas. 2) stinky room smelled like smoke and musk it was 80° when entering. We were moved to another room the next day. I was credited 1 night. 2) breakfast was free but awful - rubbery eggs, stale bagels. coffee and waffle was fine. Beware on the rest. 3) Pool looked like pee. Not clear. The entire room was not ventilated properly so your eyes sting from chlorine & it felt like a sauna- DO NOT GO IN if you have breathing problems. The clerk had to shut down bc she was concerned on the murky water too only to find out the tests came back ok but they painted the floor of the pool and now it looks gross. Um ok. 4) the elevator broke down while we were there. Not kidding. My disabled mom had to go down 3 flights of stairs. Thankful it was fixed when we returned but it clanged loudly and it was scary sounding. I really feel sorry for the ladies who work here. Obviously Choice Hotels has not cared to make the necessary updates. All their workers were Sweating so bad. Choice Hotels should be disgusted with themselves!! Dirty mattresses were in the parking lot too. Smh. I was so glad to get home.

Nice accommodations. Comfortable and clean.

We enjoyed this stay very much and will likely book again. The quaint neighborhood of Jonesborough was wonderful, with eclectic shops and plentiful options for dining. The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise for the cost. The pool was enjoyed by many kids, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was a bonus, and appreciated. My only complaint was the door keys. We required no less than eight door keys for our two day stay because they seemed to deactivate every time they were used. Although the staff was very accommodating to get us new keys every time we needed them, it did become a bit of a pain, and we took two leaving the door propped open if we were just running to get ice or down to the pool and taking the chance that no one would steal our things. Thankfully, nothing was stolen and we made it work, but I would highly suggest they update the outdated key cards to some thing more practical and something that actually worked. I know I did hear other guests grumbling that they did not appreciate this so I know it wasn’t just our room.

Really a beautiful property and the breakfast was just amazing!!

The property is easy to access and accessible to restaurants and shopping. Staff were great and easy to work with. Housekeeping was outstanding in meeting customer service requests. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast lady was friendly and helpful. No real complaints, were were in a double queen room and I think it would have been tight for 4 people. Will definitely stay there again!

Very friendly and helpful staff at check in and the day following. The last night, the woman at the front desk seemed a little bothered when we asked questions. Our refrigerator and microwave didnt work very well, definitely could use new ones. If the bed was not so hard the stay would have been perfect. I will definitely consider this hotel again if in the area.

This hotel seems older and is nothing special but for the money it's a good place to stay in the area. To me it gets the things that matter right. I have been twice now and it is always quiet and the front desk is kind and helpful. The place is a bit worn and showing it's age. I could use some work or a refurbishment but the problem is if they did that I imagine it would go up in price. So really I am happy with the hotel as it is and would stay again. One nice/impressive thing, the pool is the warmest I have ever found in a hotel! I HATE a cold indoor pool and this was so warm, I was shocked. If you hate a cold pool then this is the place to stay for you 100%. They get this right for sure.

Great value for the money. Convenient to Johnson City and Jonesboro. Clean rooms . Nice indoor pool. Breakfast was adequate and quite good.

The hotel was run down..management was not welcoming

The room was exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Everything about our stay was exceptional. I look forward to staying here again.

The hotel accommodations were nice and clean. The dining room was always in top shape, including the dining staff. I felt like the desk staff should have had more experience with the local dining/shopping offerings. The maintenance could have been a bit better, too - the toilet shifted because silicon caulking was used to settle the toilet instead of the proper leveling grout. The same goes for the tub spout but, to be clear, everything worked and was clean, you just had to be careful when handling the bathroom fixtures. Again, to be fair, that was the only room we had stayed in, so not every room may have been like ours.

Our stay was good. Fairly peaceful (our room was on the highway side). Had a sink that drained slow, let front desk know, it was taken care of while we were out for the day. Jacuzzi tub in our room was awesome! I will say they need to fix curtains so thru will close without blocking AC. Speaking of AC... it cooled the room but wouldnt keep room cool overnight. Little warmer than I would like for sleeping. Overall its a fine place to stay. What staff we dealt with were friendly. Coulent tell you about breakfast....it doesnt start until 7. We had to be gone by 630 to make our job on time
