We come to Gulfport this same time every year. I booked through Hotels.com and we stay at Hampton Inn as we have previously.
We booked the same room type and have never had a problem until this visit. The room we booked is not the room we got and the air-conditioned was not working properly. We were actually sweating.
The hotel receptionist stated that there was nothing she could do since we booked through a third party (hotels.com) and that Hampton Inn/Hilton was not affiliated with this third-party whatsoever. She stated Hotels.com most likely "screen shot" pictures of their rooms and offered it to their customers. I am very disappointed. As a customer of Hotels.com and a Hilton Honors member. I should be able to receive the same quality and service whether I book through Hilton or Hotels.com.

The hall smelled of smoke. The toilet was not clean. The sink water stopper was broken and peice was sitting on sink. Everything that consisted of wood was dusty. Including the Headboard, and the chair that was at the table. On my way down, on the elevator, there was a housekeeping associate. Who was getting off on the floor that I was staying on, I asked if she would leave more towels, after I gave her my room number, she agreed to do so. Well guess what! No towels was left in the room! This Hotel use too be one of the cleanest and Best CustomerService around. Now it feels Robotic! The Table and chairs in waiting/Breakfast area are stained and in need of some deep cleaning! I would always recommend the Hampton Inn too my Family and friends who were traveling. As a matter of fact, several of my Family came in this weekend from different locations. When I asked them how was their room? Each of them had a compliant. Hampton Inn, Get It Together! Or I will be in search of a Better Hotel!

The hotel was very clean. The staff very helpful. Breakfast was good. The only problem was the halls were very hot, however the staff explained that a recent storm had knocked that air conditioning unit out. They could use more USB plugs.

Horrible smell around the property and complete lack of towels or room cleaning. Stayed 3 nights with only the first night of towels. Called the desk and was told they didn’t have any. Not to mention the herd of stray cats all over everyone’s vehicles in the parking lot. Someone was feeding them near parking lot to keep them around. Will not be staying here again.

Was horrible! I drove for 9 hours from Asheville North Carolina! Needed a clean comfort stay I have a small dog less than 10 lbs, house broke. My room was stinky, there was still dog poop on carpet from previous guest because my dog had not entered room YET! I stepped in it!! The door was cracked open because it is hard to close! The carpet at the door area has been ripped! Likely these rips & tears likely from non behaved dogs! BUT dog fee is $75 ! Why is the carpet not repaired?? This must be a dog room? A room given to guest with dogs!! Dog families deserve clean rooms just like all other paying guest!! I have never been so disappointed in Hampton Inn!! I never have made such a bad review either!! But this is too disappointing not to mention in the comments!! It was 1230am when I got to my room after driving all day!! So NO I did not report to front desk my unhappiness! Also I paid for my room on Hotels.com BUT THE FRONT OFFICE STAFFED STATED NO IT WAS NOT PAID ON WEBSITE!! So! Of course now I have a double charge for the night!! My room cost $292 for this dump! $100 a night(doubled)plus $75 pet fee!! Ridiculous!! I am tired. Sleepy & disappointed!!

Got checked in to my reserved room (king) and unpacked and there was no hot water in the shower. They changed my room to a double. The chair in my room had a large and easily visible stain that looked like the bottom of a shoe that had just stepped in gum or other forms of street gravy.

This is one of the nicer Hampton Inn's I've stayed in. Hotel staff were all friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. Lobby area was clean. Enough parking spots during the night I stayed. Rooms were clean, spacious, and modern. Beds were very comfortable as too the pillows. Bathroom was clean. All towels and bed linens were clean too. I hope all other Hampton Inn's that have fallen behind in their standards catch up like this hotel. Can definitely recommend this property based on my stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton. Checking in was super. The lady behind the desk was super sweet checking in and out. Our room was so cozy. We will definitely be coming back. Everything was so clean, and kept. 10/10. We were very pleased with everything!

The room was very comfortable and very quiet.. The bed was very comfortable even with a bad back. The cleaniness was outstanding as well as the decor.

Arriving late went ahead and requested the hotel add my Hilton rewards number to my account to enable contactless check in. However this feature didn’t work. Therefore had to go to the front Desk where Mary provide me with two keys to the room 308. Upon arrival to the room the keys would not open the door. Returned to Mary for a new set yet had the same result. Mention it seemed that the room maybe occupied. Mary confirmed that the room was indeed occupied by another guest who was given our room key in error and unfortunately that guests assigned room did not have enough beds. Fast forward an 45 mins we were given another room (312). Upon waking up in the morning received and email receipt showing I was being charged by the hotel for room 312. Went to talk to Mary and learned that the stored card information from my paired booking with Hotels.com did not transfer to the new room. After spending 40 mins on the phone with hotel.com they were able to work with the hotel to have my card credited and the hotel.com corporate card charged instead. All worked out but the whole experience from arrival to departure was very stressful.
The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and surprisingly the ac cooled the room down to a perfect sleeping temperature.
Mary was faced with a challenging situation- a tired guest and a bunch of mistakes that just presented more problems. She handled the situation as best as she could and remained patient and friendly with me.
