We checked in after 5 PM, it was a very cold night and our room did not have any heat. We called downstairs and were told that the central heating system location was downstairs? The front desk clerk said that he turned the heat on, but it took a long time before it actually did. This is a refurbished hotel, we knew that before we booked, but as Hilton Honors members we didn’t think it would be in such terrible condition. The lamp was missing a bulb, and no toilet paper. My husband had to purchase some because there wasn’t any available downstairs.
The condition of the room was unacceptable for the Hilton brand. I included pictures to show the condition of the hotel and our room. We will not return.

The room was so cold that we requested the front desk help us. No more rooms were available so he brought us more comforters. He offered to call the HVAC repair person but they never came. Then the showers never got warm in the morning.

The hotel is old. Very classic, but it is evident of wear and tear. Needs some maintenance. It was not the quality you would expect for over $300 per night. The location is convenient to business downtown.

Advertised as 'with parking available', valet only 30 dollars, what a rip!
Partial paint job in the room, come on guys, it's in the details, have photo app won't allow upload.

The hotel was located in a very convient location. The room was nice and clean, the front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was very fulfilling. The only thing that kept my stay from being 5 stars was the traffic at night. The downtown area itself was not too loud but cars constantly revving theirs engines and drag racing at 2am was inconvenient.

Nice hotel but very tired.

No help with luggage. The person valet parking stood by while I struggled with bags. Did not even open the door.
Room still had food on floor. Sink cracked and drained poorly. USB chargers do not work. No view even though I payed top rate for Friday evening. Room was at 65F and heating did not work. Front desk said nobody had used heating for a year!!! Just terrible.

Beautiful Place, Very Clean, All Workers Extremely Nice and Helpful

The property is nice, clean and convenient to downtown. Staff is friendly and efficient. Restaurants within walking distance. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here.

I liked that is was walkable to the attraction I came to visit.
What I didn’t like was the parking, and my room was by the elevator which hindered my ability to sleep. Also, my view was at the air conditioning unit behind the building.

This have got to be the worst hotel I ever laid my head in my entire adult life. The blackout curtain was hanging not attached to anything, the sheer curtain looked like it had blood stains, the paint was peeling all around the window, the bed felt moist and it smelled. I was very disappointed and believe they should shut this place down and renovations need to be done immediately. Will never stay here again, and this makes we question all of the Hampton properties. This place needs work done.

The property was very old and could use a face lift. We stayed three days and our room was never serviced. We finally asked for clean towels and the person on the desk brought them to us. We asked if he was the only person on staff and he said yes. This property needs help!!

I have been a solid Hampton Inn customer for years. I would not stay at this one again.

The room was terrible! There was peeling/cracking paint on the windows sills. There was dirt/dust on the walls. The lamp shades were cracked/peeling/dusty. There was rust/mold all throughout the bathroom. The handle to open the sliding door on the bath as well as the grab bar to get into the bath were very loose. The light above the bathroom sink did not work. The fan in the bathroom did not work. There were weird stains on the bathroom wall. There were holes in the bathroom wall. There was only one small trashcan in the whole room. The website says that they offer daily room service, yet in the room they have a sign that says, "for your CONVENIENCE we offer room service every OTHER day." There is no restaurant or bar at the property. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. There is no pool or hot tub at the property. I was charged $243.00/per night for a room that was rated "very good" on Expedia's website when I could have gone to a motel and paid $60.00/night for the same quality. There are many other hotels within a few blocks of this one that are very nice and can be booked at a similar price that I paid for this one. I am very disappointed that you can no longer trust Expedia and need to do your own research about hotels. If I had looked at Google reviews, I would seen that this hotel have mostly bad reviews. The only saving grace for this hotel is that every staff person we interacted with was very friendly and helpful.

I booked this property based on the Expedia reviews. I should have also taken a look at the Google reviews. This hotel, while in a convenient location, is quite dilapidated. There was mold in the shower, bathroom ceiling and A/C vents. The room smelled of mildew. The chairs in the room when dingy and sticky. Unfortunately, almost each time I came to the front desk, I had to wait for the receptionist to finish a smoke break.
I didn’t pay for the $29 per night valet. There is a parking garage for $6 within 4 mins walking distance.
Safety is an issue but I guess that is to be expected in a city. I was accosted my a man in the street and required police intervention.
The breakfast was okay. My daughters enjoyed th waffles.

I have stayed at the hotel on other occasions. The only problem I found was the hotel is very old, paint peeling on the windows, one of the side panels (very small) was coming off the wall. When I checked in, I had a great staff member to assist me with questions. I was a little confused about the Valet, it appeared I didn't have a choice but that worked out okay. Morning staff was not nearly as friendly or helpful. I felt like I was a inconveniencing them by checking out. Location was great and near lots of restaurants. Probably will not stay here again.

The hotel was clean and quite beautiful. The check in desk was extremely friendly. However, that did not make up for our stay. Upon arrival we realized parking was horrendous. Our only option was valet. I was charged for two days despite staying one night. However, they did credit me a day when I called the hotel. I checked in online and went straight to our room as described with all our things in tow. It didn't work. I had to go back down to the desk to learn they were "out of date" and online check in did not work here. I've stayed at many Hamptons and always had a good breakfast experience. Not this time. Most items were out, it was not cleaned or restocked throughout the morning despite the worker walking through looking at things many times. Many left unhappy that morning.

They did not have our room that we reserved upon arrival, so we were assigned to a different one. We go to that room and it wasn’t cleaned and the phone was unplugged from the wall, laying on the floor. We were then sent to a third room. Rooms are not maintained on a daily basis, not even trash removal. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. When we requested extra towels, we were told that we had to go get them. When you pay to stay away from home, you want the comfort you pay for. Not one of Hampton’s best.

Check in was a disaster. It was 9:00 pm and the representative stoped during check in and said "let me go check that room". He left me standing in the lobby and went up the elevator and came back down and provided me with a thumbs up. He had an issue with the system and seemed very confused about my reservation. The building is very old and needs a major upgrade. The room was dirty. There was still toothpaste on the sink and mirror in the bathroom. The beds are not comfrotable. You had to lay right in the middle or you may roll off the side. It was very hard to cool down the room. I would not stay here again.

The room and property were nice and clean. Unfortunately our room did not have a mini fridge so I had to throw out food I brought and unable to save left overs. The location is convenient to downtown activities. Parking was difficult and you have to pay. Next door to Hank Williams Museum is a bonus.

Location is accessible, walking distance of many places to eat and the Riverfront, and 8 minutes from the Maxwell Air Force Base. Favorite part of the stay was breakfast provided by the Hotel. Least favorite was finding parking outside in the street and there's homeless people that approach you constantly to ask for money.

Friendly staff and walkability. Rooms need some renovations and work.

A ten story building only had 3 luggage carts. We could not find one to unload.
6.0
Clean room, friendly staff.
But that's about as far is it goes.
Parking is very inconvenient as there is no guarantee self parking. Beds were majorly soft, and wasn't much for covers. No fridge in the room to keep anything cold. You cant control the climate inside the room. The noise outside was insane till early morning hours making it so hard to sleep. Really couldn't wait to check out.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff was friendly. Even with the parking issues, valet was great. Didn’t have any issues.

Room was large and comfortable. Had just finished steam cleaning carpets so they were still wet, and we did not know about that until we entered the room.
Old building but managed fairly well. Staff just okay.

Staff very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was good.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance.
They do have valet parking.

The lobby was my favorite part, its beautiful. The room smelled kind of funny, might be because its a very old hotel. Our sink was leaky and the tiolet wouldn't flush but I fixed that real quick. The view from the window was good. The beds were super comfy. The valet was quick and friendly. The front desk lady (didnt catch her name) had great customer service! The breakfast was good (waffles, eggs, sausage, potatos, etc). No big complaints, it was a good place to stay for the weekend. Close to a few good restaurants. I wouldnt go to 79A- they were not busy, the sign said to wait to be seated, we waited 15 minutes and were never acknowledged so we left and went to Sa Za instead. The daquiri place across the street had customers into the night, they were a bit loud and could be heard from our room.
3.0
There are no temperature controls in the rooms! We arrived at check-in time and our room was 82 degrees. I know that because I called the front desk and they reported that was the temp they could see, and asked what I wanted it to be. I don’t know many people—lizards maybe—that can stand an 82-degree room. It took hours to cool off and I’m not sure it went below 72. Other than that, the facility was nice, the location was great, and the staff was super friendly. They should pre-cool the rooms that are designated for check-in.
