It was absolutely perfect. Staff was so sweet and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious and cozy.

Quite location in the old town, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Stayed in the Rodon room. Wish they had better lights by the bed for reading, but that's being picky. Parking is nearby and a short walk.

We stayed 2 nights at Case Vitae. Excellent location, very quiet but 5 minutes from the heart of the old town. Easy to park close by if you have a car. The staff is very welcoming. Excellent breakfast served on a very nice patio. Would definitely go there again.

A lovely, small, hotel set within the old town in Rethymnon. Ideal for access to all the old town facilities and within minutes of dozens of tavernas.

Everything was excellent, the room was beautiful and unique. Only problem we had was finding parking. Once that was solved the stay was perfect.

The hotel room is located in the old town of Rethymno and the room was very elegant. It comes with a jacuzzi and very comfortable bed. It was spacious and the breakfast was great. The staff are very helpful and polite. We had a really pleasant stay in this hotel.

The hotel is centrally located in the old town. I found the staff to be helpful and accommodating.

They gave us very good instructions as to where to park, and then it was an easy 5 minute walk to the hotel, all flat so no problem with our luggage. Breakfast was lovely served under cover in the courtyard. We had fresh cooked eggs and plates of pastries and fruit and yoghurt. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Very comfortable, enjoyable stay at amazing old town house. Fantastic location. Close to every attractive place but at the same time not in the middle of big crowds. Super service both at the reception and breakfast.

The rooms were absolutely stunning and the garden where breakfast was served was beautiful as well. The pictures I saw before arriving didn't do it justice - everything was much nicer than I expected and the rooms were spotless. In terms of hospitality, everyone made sure we were comfortable and we were offered complimentary drinks (ice tea and coffee) both when we arrived and before we left. The breakfast was also very impressive, with eggs/omelettes being prepared according to your wishes, pastries, fresh orange juice, fruits and more. Internet connection is good too - I had a video meeting for work one morning and it went smoothly. In terms of location, the hotel is at the end of the old town which means that everything is within walking distance, yet not too noisy.

Felt right at home.. I stayed for 4 nights and felt that it would be a great place to stay longer term... very personable staff and good location for walking...

Stopped here for a week very recently and really enjoyed our stay, our room (narcissus) was really nice, cosy, very clean and with some excellent touches, breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and the staff could not do enough for you, would certainly recommend for a relaxing time in rethymnon or as a great base to explore the area

This is a lovely small hotel in the old town. The staff are extremely welcoming and go out of their way to look after you during your staff. Breakfast is a Greek feast with freshly squeezed orange juice each morning. It is 10 mins walk to the bus station if you want to travel to other towns. I would recommend this hotel if staying in Retheymon

I would give this hotel 6 stars if I could. They do everything right.

From arrival until departure, staff were friendly and helpful with tips, restaurant suggestions, etc. The room was lovely and comfortable and the overall stay was quite pleasant.

This lovely hotel is located just a short walk from the center of Chania, giving you easy access to the Old Town without the noise/busyness of staying right in the heart of it. The property is beautifully appointed and spacious, and Madame Athena and the other women who help run it are very gracious and hospitable. Madame Athena gives great restaurant recommendations, too. We loved the pool area, and the breakfasts are beautifully served and delicious. Staying here was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Crete.

We stayed here for a romantic weekend. It is absolutely everything people say it is, with friendly and welcoming staff and very comfortable rooms. We stayed in January and it was well-equipped for winter with a quiet, efficient heater, warm bedding and lots of fluffy rugs. The architecture is beautiful and we loved our room, Amaryllis (a junior suite on the second floor, accessible by private staircase from the courtyard). The room was great, the Jacuzzi tub and hot water worked well, the bed was heavenly! The courtyard of the hotel features a small fish pond with a trickling fountain, which was very peaceful to hear. The location is excellent in the historical quarter. The streets are a maze so make sure you have a map, but it is a quiet location with lots of beautiful streets to wander and plenty of good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was lovely, a nice selection of fruit, cereals, and yogurt, along with some hot appetizers, eggs, and meats. I appreciated that they asked about any dietary concerns when we checked in. I was impressed and really appreciated the care and attention of the staff. They do a superb job and provide a luxury experience for a very reasonable price. The only downside was that we could hear our neighbors in one of the rooms quite well. They discussed something loudly all through nap time and then started in again in the morning, which did not make for peaceful relaxation.

This hotel was the best we stayed in on our 9 week holiday. The service was exceptional. Everyone made our stay feel like we wre family. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the area.

The hotel was very nice and tranquil. It's located right in the old city, which was nice to walk around, but difficult to find and park. The parking lot was a bit away and we had to drag our suitcases to the hotel ourselves. But other than that, our room was great, beautiful, spacious and clean. There was a nice jacuzzi tub for the shower. Great stay overall.

This lovely hotel is situated in a quiet, largely residential section of the old town. It was a little tricky to find (bring a detailed map with you), but well worth the effort. It is about a 10-minute walk from the terminal bus station. The hotel is really beautiful and the staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The room was immaculate and the jacuzzi tub was a great bonus! The garden was a lovely place to have coffee—and I was offered some immediately upon my arrival. The breakfast was generous, with the option of freshly cooked eggs in addition to the usual continental offerings. I would absolutely stay here again. It was a wonderful experience!

We arrived at Casa Vitae a little haggard after driving around in circles a few times trying to find it. (Many of Rethymnon's streets are one-way or blocked off in places, which isn't always clear on Google Maps.) Maria and Poppy welcomed us with a smile and insisted we enjoy a welcome drink in the hotel's delightful and tranquil courtyard before checking us in. They also upgraded us to a superior room. Their restaurant and touring suggestions were extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious. (If you are offered an omelet, take them up on it!)

There is look like a private place with convenience location of City. Easy to find the way go to the beaches, go shopping and go to the pubs. We have a great night at this hotel. Full equipment with wonderful massage bathtub at the hotel. Friendly staff to provide very good service for us.

The hotel is difficult to find. We had to park about 3 blocks away and using a GPS, it still was not easy to find. Once we found it, the room we were given was VERY dark... Like being in a cave. There was only 1 window and it looked directly out on to another wall. We showed them the description of the room in Hotels.com ( mountain view .. opens out on to a balcony, etc) They apologized but said they were fully booked but could upgrade us to a suite for the last 2 days of our 4 day stay. We said ok. The room was nicely decorated but the bathroom had a lot of mold. Two days later we moved up to the next floor and a suite . This room was much better but was not a suite It was just a regular room with a little alcove with a love seat in it. Also, This bathroom had mold also. A little bleach would go a long way in making the place feel like it was worth what we paid. On the positive side ... the staff was wonderful ... friendly and helpful and gracious. The breakfast was fabulous. The location was perfect for exploring the old town and attractions. The internet worked in both of the rooms perfectly (we appreciated no charge for breakfast of for the internet). All in all a great location, a unique and welcoming place. We were glad we chose it inspire of the room being far from advertised and the lack of cleanliness of the bathrooms.

We visited Casa Vitae for our honeymoon and the service was absolutely first class. The hotel is also right in the centre of Rethymnon so very easy to access all bars and restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
