Pior experiência que tive na minha vida do checking até ao quarto, o hotel é velho as toalhas de banho são horríveis parecem uma lixa, a equipe de trabalho está sempre mal humorada, o checking demora no mínimo 1 hora para preencher todos os dados e precisa ser de todos que estão hospedados o que não tem necessidade e assinar vários formulários horrível experiência

Location of this hotel is amazing. Right on the beach. Pool area was great. Very nice staff. Buffet selection was very good. I would stay here again.

We were asked to be registered at hotel “system” twice: one time by someone at tours guide and de second at front desk. Not sure what they were doing but it feels like they were trying to get us on a sort of spam database list then at hotel property, such waste of time and not professional approach on gathering our personal info twice!

It was amazing. The staff is kind and the food is good.

The quality of food was poor, no towel service you have to rent the towels which are extremely small. Attitude of staff was they don´t care about anything. not helpful. The room was clean. The air conditionig was uncontrollable. Maitenance after one or two calls per day never ever showed to fix it. Never ever stay here.

This place looks nice in pictures. When you get there, the rooms are small, dirty, full of dust, unkept, they had mosquitoes and roaches and mice. The fitness room was a joke. It looked like a museum of dusty really old workout equipment from the 70s. The spa was decent. The restaurant had slow and poor service. The beach is full of rocks and it’s overall a trashy place. We checked out after day 1. We were staying 3 days. It was awful

The highlights were the swimming pool and good food options. Things closed up early and the hotel is quite old. A useful option for the price if you like to spend the day in the pool/beach.

Ive been here probably 20 + times.. the best part is location. Beach front. You can sleep with the door to the beach open and listen to the waves all night long. Close to the airport. The hotel is a little run down and the TV in the room in super small and old. Food is good , not great. But i still love this place .

Nice beachside resort. Not necessarily suitable for business stay however.

The pool area was fantastic, the music by the pool was a little boring and they could have played more up to date/festive music. The entertainment was okay, luckily it didn't last too long. The drink service by the pool was pretty good, was a little slow if you're really trying to party, but otherwise it was definitely not as slow as other reviewers have complained. Jucilene (by the pool) was wonderful. The beach was gorgeous, had everything you could possibly need (food, drinks, chairs, umbrellas). Water was beautiful, but too rough to swim in right in front of the hotel. The beach area felt very safe and there were very few people walking around bothering you to buy things as with many other South American beaches. The room was nice, clean, view of the ocean was fantastic. The elevator is like a SAUNA. It is so freaking hot. If we weren't on the 5th floor I would have walked. Breakfast had A LOT of options. Is it the best quality food? No, but was it decent? Absolutely. The one night we ate at the dinner buffet, the food was pretty good, nothing to write home about but I would have eaten there again for the sake of convenience after a long day in the sun. There is a supermarket very close by and a pharmacy which are convenient. The ONLY downfall with this hotel is that it is VERY far from Pelourinho/Rio Vermelho which are the main areas to hang out and things we wanted to see. Otherwise, loved the hotel and WILL return!

Excellent service and location on the beach in Stella Maris. Easy Uber ride to get to historic Pelourinho district.

They replaced us with another room after our request and upgraded the room to a view of the sea. The room was excellent, the pool and the sea close. it was great.

Not close to town or any sights, but a good, self-contained resort-type hotel, lots of stuff for families, big pool and play areas and right on the beach.

So sad to see beautiful beaches full of debri and plastic they just don't seem to care the Hotell is 3rd rate will not go back

Had a nice stay. Rooms clean, great staff, good food, nice pool and great prices. Negative: Everyone I was with couldn't get wifi in their rooms. The wifi barely worked outside their rooms aswell. Free wifi means no wifi

Been to many hotels in Salvador. Stella Maris is in the top 1% in all services,location,hotel staff,pool,beach,etc.

They charged me for 2 triple rooms, but the 2 rooms they gave me were not triple rooms. We needed adjacent rooms, and they had no adjacent triple rooms, but they still charged me for triple rooms. It took more than an hour to check-in, because the rooms were not cleaned at 2 o clock.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The beach near the hotel was beautiful and clean. The pool area is great as well. I traveled through several cities in Brazil and they do not have great hotels. Do not expect a 4 or 5 star resort like you can find in the US or Mexico. The service was ok. The main complaint about the hotel was the room was not very clean. The bed sheets had a nasty smell. I found hairs in the shower when we arrived. I had to call for them to come clean the restroom. The hotel is just a few miles from the airport. Taxi from the airport to the hotel was approximately $40 USD. Downtown Salvador is approx. 40 minutes away from hotel. We took a shuttle service for the day. I was definitely glad we did not stay in the city center. Another plus, is the supermarket just 1 block away from the hotel. You can get snacks and stock up on water/drinks. Do not expect active nightlife. It is calm and not a ton of activities. I would stay there in the future.
