The property was charming, right on the Grand Canal. It had complimentary breakfast which was varied and delicious.

An amazing hotel, on the Grand Canal at an amazing price. We had one of the Canal Grand Suites with Juliette balcony doors opening to give a grandstand diect view onto the canal. Great staff, lovely breakfast and the nost comfortable bed we have ever slept in. An essential place to stay if you are going to Venice

Right on the Grande Canal very close to the train station. The only hotel for me in Venice!

Excellent location with water taxi drop off point right outside the front of the hotel. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Good selection for breakfast. We stayed in the room Canal Grande for three people and it had its own outside garden seating area. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was an amazing hotel for our family of four and was in a tremendous location right on the Grand Canal. Although it was about a 20-30 minute (easy) walk from St Mark’s and the Rialto Bridge, it was totally worth it as we got to experience the neighborhoods of central Venice, not just the tourist spots. The restaurants are also much less expensive and less busy near the hotel than the main tourist areas, so that’s a bonus. The staff was also some of the most friendly and helpful of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The breakfast was solid and big, with lots of options. Lastly, take the water taxi service too and from the airport. It picks you up and drops you off at the hotel private dock - what a cool, unique experience!

Everything about our stay was 5/5 stars. The room was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The view was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious. And the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Can't wait to go back!

The hotel staff and services were very good, including free transportation to Murano Island and tourist information. Breakfast was also delicious.

The location was right on the canal but in a quiet part which was nice to get away from the crowds. The staff was wonderful, helpful. Breakfast was incredible and the room was perfect with nice bedding and bath towels. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We loved our room that overlooked the Grand Canal. The room was well appointed and felt fairytalish. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent (we enjoyed it all the more sitting outside by the canal). They provided excellent recommendations on dining and on things to do. I absolutely loved the Hotel Canal Grande.

The upgraded suite we received upon arrival was unexpected and pleasant! From the reception to all of the staff, it was kind, friendly and accommodating! Little touches, like gellies on your pillow (which are amazing!) to the beautiful, simple, clean design of the room, made for a most enjoyable visit! We cannot wait to come back again!

Great location on canal on way to many activities and discoveries in Venice — wonderful start to an Italian family trip!

Staff amazing, friendly and helpful.

The hotel was on the canal which made it easy for water taxi. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and classy although a little small. The location is a 20 minute plus walk to St Marks Square, but that is probably a good thing since it's much quieter here. Close to bridge to train station where Venetian commuters come and go. I would stay again if back in Venice.

The location was easy walking distance of all major sites including the vaporetto. The staff made us feel right at home. They were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were sumptuous and there was a lovely little piazza beside to hotel on the canal to while away the day or night. Lovely boutique hotel!

Old world charm and hospitality.....18th century Venician furnishings and decore. Staff was incredible. We had a perfect stay.

We booked Hotel Canal Grande, hoping for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, the room conditions were deeply disappointing, and the response from the management was unsatisfactory. Room Condition Cleanliness and Safety Concerns: ~The floors were visibly dirty, setting a negative tone right from the start. ~The bathroom was particularly alarming with scum on the bath glass, which was also insecurely attached, posing a safety hazard. ~A disturbing red stain resembling blood was found on the outside of the tub. Hotel Staff and Management Response ~Front Desk Manager acknowledged the conditions but was ineffective in providing a satisfactory solution. ~Another staff member, also agreed with our assessment of the room's unsanitary state. ~General Manager, was informed of the situation and, despite initial resistance, ultimately agreed to a refund but only after considerable communication. His initial handling and the lack of prompt resolution added to our frustration. Alternative Recommendations: Given our experience, for those looking for higher standards of cleanliness and customer service in Venice, I would recommend considering Hotel Al Ponte Antico, H10, or Nolinski. These establishments have demonstrated a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction that was unfortunately not matched by Hotel Canal Grande.

Hotel Canal Grande is perfection from arrival to departure! The hotel is beautiful, and our suite was spacious and comfortable! Breakfast is plentful and delicious! The concierge staff is friendly, offers great suggestions and makes sure everything is just right! Thank you, Alessio, Anka, Chiara (concierge), Chantal, Ivan (restaurant / bar) and Alexandra (maid service) for making our stay better than we could have hoped for!

Room was roomy. Breakfast was ok. i recommend they only put out fresh pastries every day especially croissants. Croissants and other pastries were dry today. Staff very nice. Neighborhood very good with shopping and restaurants. Hotel only provided one bottled water one per person although we stayed three nights. Daily renewal of water bottle would have been better. Across from train station.

Super nice hotel, the most friendly hotel i have ever stayed on. All staff is so helpful. And the rooms and small if u don’t choose the exclusive ones which also was really nice. We had the room with canal view which we recommends. Pic is view from balcony.

Fine Italian hospitality! Classic rooms with hardwood floors, traditional classic upholstery. Breakfast with amazing selection of items. Cappuccino, coffee was excellent. Great location - just walk to the train station across the bridge.
