Staff are friendly and helpful at all times and the Hotel is extremely clean and well kept. The rooms are a good size and equipped with all you would expect. Beds are comfy and provide for a good nights sleep. There is an extensive variety available for breakfast in the spacious restaurant, which is beautifully designed. All in all a perfect place for a comfortable stay.

In general, the hotel is good. The biggest problem we experienced is that it advertises that rooms have a/c but in reality is just a fan that doesn't cool the room. Therefore, we had trouble sleeping. Staff is friendly.

I visited last year, and it was perfect! But, this time it was not so good.. The air condition in the room was horrible. It was over 30° outside, and it was almost the same in the room with the coldest setting on the air condition. It just kept blowing hot air into the room, which made it unbearable to sleep during the nights.
I asked 4 times in the reception for a new room, and after i finally got one, then the air condition was just as bad. I got told by the reception/the technician that since i had the "lowest/standard" room i just had to deal with it... But i had booked a "deluxe" room which made no sense to me. This resulted in 4 nights with no sleep.
The breakfast was okay, but it was also much better last year.
I paid alot to stay at this hotel, but i don't think it was worth it in the end because of the insanely warm rooms :(

The hotel is directly across from the arena and about 30mins walk from the city centr. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly.

Air conditioning non existent in family room which meant two extremely hot uncomfortable nights for over £600.
Réception miserable and unhelpful, took payment for car parking , didn’t give a token which was required to activate barrier which meant another trip back into the hotel , not so much as an apology

This was really nice hotel … staff were friendly, the room was spacious and had everything you needed, the breakfast was good and in a very lovely room and easy access to cologne ( walkable) … and with nice restaurants nearby. Bonus it has parking.

Hotel was great and the staff was really friendly. Everything was very clean and the breakfast each morning was great (except there is no self serve coffee option so sometimes it can take awhile) the large downside was that the room got very hot every night and it was highly disruptive to sleep. Also there was no bed sheet. Only a comforter (top blanket) which I thought was strange.

All is excellent, location is great, I had a room at the back on floor 4 which was completely quiet at night, room was very clean, staff were efficient, wifi worked fine,
My only tiny negative is perhaps putting a bit of artwork or design into the bedroom as it is quite bland.
I definitely recommend and would stay again.

Unique, large, modern, gorgeous room! Underground subway nearby could be heard from the room regularly. Hotel neglected to prepare room for 4 guests but quickly remedied the situation with excellent service and a free bottle of wine.

Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. Very convenient to the Laxness Arena for an evening concert. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant area is in a converted swimming pool. It was quirky and elegant and quite fun for your early morning coffee! I would most definitely stay here again

Hotel is fine, reception staff wasn't very friendly and housekeeping came knocking on our door early in the morning. They probably just wanted to check if we were still in the room or already checked out. Why don't they check with the reception? It happens a lot and it's really annoying.
The U Bahn to the city centre was horrible. We had to wait for almost half an hour and we had to skip two trains because they were too busy. Same thing on the way back late in the evening. Walking is a better option. But off course, the hotel is not to blame for this.

Nice place. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is professionnal. The breakfast is taken in a very beautiful room. The hotel is still pricy in you compare it with others places in the country. You need to walk 30 min to reach the touristic center of Köln.

For the price paid it was not very exciting. Staff was not up to quality, but I already gave feedback on most of that. The restaurant was closed though on Google it said it was open and no information on that was given on check-in. Room keys randomly stopped working.

Perfect place to stay when you are there for the Lanxess Arena. Nice room in good condition. Breakfast buffet quite dissapointing considering the price of €25,- per person per day. Ham and cheese bending up because it were dry and so on.

The name “Palais” makes you believe it’s like a palace, so a bit disappointing to enter the hotel lobby. However staff at the reception is very sweet and helpful. I first got a really disappointing, dark room, and was upgraded after I objected, to a room of the type I expected to have paid for. The breakfast room is what must give the hotel the name Palais, it’s huge, but the selection and quality in the breakfast buffet isn’t impressive at all, compared to other German hotels at the same price. The room I got, was nice and bed was comfortable. Parking was under the hotel, very convenient, and payment was easy, added to your bill. The area around isn’t that exciting in the evening. A bit far and dark to go to the nearest restaurants, so better go further away by taxi for better selection.
