We loved the charm of the building. The guy who checked us in went above and beyond to make our stay welcome. He was very kind and had a calm nature. Give him a raise b'y😊 Also, you need robes for after the jacuzzi!

Impractical room with bathroom in the middle. Toilet closet ridiculously small. Set up of table useless. No comfortable chair. Bed not very comfortable. Bag of sex toys for sale ridiculous. Food average.

Very welcoming

This is an old home that has been converted into individual rooms. The ambiance is great, and the staff was wonderful (and helpful). If you're able, it's about a mile walk to the shopping area of Water Street.

This was a lovely place. Great room which was very comfortable and clean. Loved the soaker tub and comfy bed. Great breakfast too.

Beautiful old home renovated to suites. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. We stayed in Argentina this time. It was a lovely room but ceilings are low on the side so if you are really tall you might want to have one of the other rooms. Great location for getting around St John’s. We would stay there again if we are back in St John’s.

We stayed at Leaside for a one year Anniversary date. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was as described. The breakfast was hot and delicious when it arrived to our room. There was a couple of things that wasn’t up to standard. First the bed was uncomfortable and made a noise every time you turned over or sat on the bed. The jetted tub was filled with black debris when the jets were used. Very disappointing because we were not able to use the tub. So disgusting! As well we had no face cloths only towels in the room. You pay for comfort and the ability to use all services. It was midnight and decided to inform the staff in the morning. Overall we probably will not be back to stay. Hopefully these things will be addressed in the near future.

The property itself is beautiful. However we are so disappointed with our experience. We booked the Bell Island suite 4 months ago. This suite features a grand, galleried loft bedroom with queen bed, electric fireplace,& a double Jacuzzi tub. The Bell Island’s lower level offers a full kitchen, an adjoining living room space as well as a deck off of the living room. Everything we wanted and expected for our stay. Upon check in we were advised that the Bell Island suite was already occupied by another guest and we were given the Placentia Suite. Mind you the Placentia suite features just a bed and washroom. This was an obvious downgrade from what I had booked and paid for. I was advised that the difference in this suite and the Bell Island was $20. Common sense and a quick online search confirmed otherwise. I was upset and frustrated. My sister had travelled here for this specific night and everything else in the city was completely sold out, because of a huge concert. A staff member proceeded to tell me that I was “too upset”. Excuse me? I booked this room literally 4 months ago, and you sold it to someone else, probably at a higher price due to supply and demand this concert brought and then proceed to give me a huge downgrade for the same price? I will say, they did offer me half off the room, which too be fair as mentioned a quick online search clearly showed that was close to price of this room anyway. So disappointed with the whole experience.

Close to St. John's

Such a beautiful residence, a gorgeous manor with a beautiful lawn and outdoor sitting areas. Will definitely be back soon.

This has been my second time staying at Leaside Mannor. The place and staff is amazing. Very private parking. Staff are top notch and so is the breakfast in the morning. Cant ask for better

Beautiful room. The young man at the front desk was so helpful and friendly, we really appreciated him! We could tell he really enjoys his work, and he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience.

Atmosphere delightful

We had a great stay. Your after hours use of the kitchen facilities is amazing. Lots of accessible tea, juice, toast and snacks. Bed was very comfortable.

The room was very clean. Check in was smooth. No issues with anything in room. Air conditioner was super loud and the jacuzzi tub is pretty small. Staff was great and friendly. Only suggestion I would say is to make sure chairs n the deck for room are wiped down and cleaned off.

The only thing that was a problem was the stairs, but that was our fault for not booking a room on the ground floor.

Excellent breakfasts. Great mattress. Exhaust fan not secured to ceiling. No light at front entrance to input code on keypad at night. Stone steps leading from driveway very unsafe. Only 1 chair to sit on in the room.

This was a beautiful stay in a historic looking house. It was easy to find with free parking and delicious breakfast. Shower was nice with hot water after a long day of exploring NL. Bed was comfortable. I recommend it.
