Expedia does not do this place & the room justice with their photos. It is not a 5 star resort but it’s also not a dingy hotel. It’s just an older property so some thing’s just are little outdated like in our room for example, there’s like cracks or chipped paint and then the pool is outdated but it’s such a vibe and feels amazing!! The beach is not the nicest part of the beach but it’s pretty. The rooms are really spacious and the beach view is beautiful !!!
The staff is so nice and welcoming, the restaurants food is soooo good, breakfast is included and it’s not just a normal continental breakfast, it’s an actual restaurant that it’s a food menu.
It’s about a 12 minute drive from malecon but easy to grab a cab or an Uber (front desk can help with a cab) and like 15mins from the airport.
There’s currently no property next door, and a couple properties down it’s just like an abandoned hotel but this hotel is right on the beach you have access to it from the pool !!
Overall I would rate it like 7/10!

My stay was wonderful at La Posada Hotel. The room and facilities were very clean. The staff was helpful and kind. It was perfect for the quiet and relaxing vacation I wanted. The sunrise and sunset view from balcony was unbeatable.

This property was perfect for a quiet romantic couple's vacation. The staff are so sweet and helpful. The food was amazing. It felt homie and relaxing. The property could use a gift shop or little store for essentials guests may have forgotten. The property could use some upgrades to the outside furniture maybe choosing a more weather-resistant material. My only dislike is the birds that kept flying into the pool area. If there were a way to deter them from staying around that would be great. But overall we loved our stay and will be returning soon. The Spanish word La Paz means Peace in English; we certainly had that the week we were there. Thank you to the entire hotel staff.

Great friendly staff. As soon as we pulled up the bellmen were happy to help right away. Check in was easy. It was a nice surprise to see that the 2 bedroom was 2 stories with 2 balconies. Super spacious. The pool was very kid friendly. Easy direct access to the beach (which is rare in La Paz). Breakfast is included and is great. Staff was great. I would definitely stay hear again.

Rooms are very nice and very spacios. The view of the bay is excelent. The only drawback is that the beach is not the prettiest and there are some constructions in the vicinity.

The absolute worst!! THIS IS NOT 4
STARS!! Very disappointing.
Furniture falling apart. No towels and when we asked they told us they didn't have anymore. Dirty beach towels. Took long to respond to our requests. Bathroom smelled so bad. Went to breakfast at 9 am they ran out of most food. (not many people here)

Do not stay here unless you bring your own towels. Our room did not even have a washcloth to dry our hands. We eventually got two bath towels which we had to hand over every morning to be washed and returned to us. We had to ask for toilet paper twice The breakfast was good and had a good selection. Dinner was mediocre and expensive. The bar is ok if you want a beer but the mixed drinks were not good. The staff was well aware of the towel situation and we were told there wasn’t anything they could do about it.

Although the location if the hotel was fantastic, the facility has seen better days. It is run down and tired certainly not worth the price that was charged.

Staff is very friendly, breakfast has great options and delicious. All the rooms gave very nice sea views. They are very up to date and clean. The AC is great.

The beachfront location with nice, shallow pool and lounge areas, the room terrace, the convenient fridge in the room, and the onsite bar and restaurant were just what we wanted and worth it. The property is very nice, very large, and has amazing potential. It could use some sprucing up as it has quite a bit of deferred maintenance. I think this property is geared towards Spanish speakers as the staff's English was limited except for one young lady. The housekeepers worked their tails off every day. Breakfasts were unpredictable, but if you stick to eggs, you'll be okay. Not sure what my chilaquiles were trying to be....

I liked that the property had direct access to the beach. Some properties directly adjacent to the La Posada were unsightly and in disrepair presenting massive eye-sores. Our room met our needs nicely.

The room was great with jacuzzi tub and excellent views. Overall it was a great stay. However there are no gift shops or convenient stores anywhere nearby. Not even for tums.

I recently stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the stunning ocean view from my room. The room itself was decent, but I wish it had a smart TV for more entertainment options. However, the facilities were well-maintained and added to the overall positive experience.

The employees are very accommodating. Rooms are quite unique having a second floor accessed by a circular staircase. Upstairs is another bathroom, lounge area and fillable tub. All rooms overlook the water. Its a unique small resort property and we enjoyed our stay. There is some minor remodeling being done as the property is almost 20 years old. Englebert Humperdink owned the property until 2003/4.

The property is damaged, old and not updated. The picturesdo not represent the conditions of the hotel common arras or its rooms.
The 2 room alternatives we were given were painted ( wuthin hours of our arrival) abd smelled like paint, with paint drops all over the floor, furtniture, bed covers and sofa.. the hotel advertises a gym but fhe gym has not been open since the pandemic ( according to bell boy) . We are asking for a refund

La Posada is a little run down and needs a lot of upgrading. Three chairs broke in our room during our five day stay. For the price of $191 per night you would expect a little more care. The pool was never vacuumed and the algae collected on the bottom of the pool. The outer area near the pool has a lot of clutter and the free breakfast was mediocre at best. However the service is excellent. The bar tender Antonio was always funny and pleasant. The front desk agent Jerald was always accommodating and wanted to make sure you were happy. Our room had a second level with a hot tub which was really nice. In the future, I would probably look for another hotel with better care though.

We stayed here and had excellent food at the restaurant and above FIVE STAR Service from Lui @ the front desk! We checked out super early to do an excursion only to find I had left my 3 wedding rings in out bathroom. Lui answered our call and put us on hold while she personally went to our room and found my treasures! She assured us they would be safe at the concierge desk and they were! 8 hours later we returned and they were locked away safely and packaged in an envelope. Great service-Amazing Surf n Turf and Fish dinner-lovely beach front pool. We highly recommend!!!
