A bit out of town. No breakfast available and couldn't find any local cafe's. Comfortable, spacious room. Car park was full.

Arrived in room and it did not smell fresh (cigarette smoke). After looking around the room there was stains everywhere (on the walls, floor, bedsheets and towels). Could not use shower as there was mould and drier in it. The furniture was falling apart and the door looked like it had been kicked in a put back together multiple time. Would not recommend staying here.

The hotel is an old building, appears to be in good repair, although some facilities are ready for refurbishment.

This is the worst place i have ever stayed! Dirty reception area, inside and out. Cigarette ends around all outside areas. The room was small , i didn't mind that, but the dirt and filth was sickening, we booked this room on the good reviews we had seen, i dont know what other guests standards are but i found stains on the sheets, on the pillow cases, the head board to the bed had stains and thick dust across the top. The carpet was stained with black thick lumpy marks, the shower had grimy dirt all around the bottom and drain area, the walls and doors had stains and dirt , the light on the wall looked unsafe with what looks like a large plaster to cover wiring. After the state of the room and low standards of hygiene we didnt bother with the breakfast offered, cereals and toast self serve in a dirty dining area, dont think we missed much. Never will i stay here again and feel the reviews we read to be false and unfair to unsuspecting guests. The photos on the web site are not a true representation of this place.

The room was a good size for the money but the wifi was feeble in the room (good in the lobby). We knew there was no hot breakfast but the buffet breakfast choices were very restricted. Outside, bushes were invading the parking spaces and there was a lot of rubbish on the ground around the outside bins that should have been inside them. A tired property and service, with much missing that we would normally have expected.

Shower was broken, place looked nothing like the photos, staff unfriendly pretty much shunting us out the door so they could 'clean' the rooms. Overall disappointing stay

Complete dump and rip off. I have no idea how this isnt 1 star. The images the hotel use are FAKE. Avoid at all cost!!! Mouldy, filthy, broken shower, no staff to help with any issues.

Great staff but the hotel was not in great shape.

It was a short but pleasant stay. I got a very lovely room which was big in size and comfortable. Overall a good experience but could do with better heating.

Stayed there on my way to Scotland just for the night it was perfect. Welcoming staff , it was quite and peaceful.

Basic but everything was fine. One of the staff called Rais was very helpful

Toilet difficult to flush, and no breakfast.

Clean and spacious room. Everything we needed. Quiet road out front, enough free parking. And lovely cooked breakfast, even had a veggie option! Staff member Emma was so kind, even calling me the day of our stay to double check some information. Very polite and welcoming when we arrived, even helping us decide where to visit the next day! Overall, just what we would wish for in a hotel for a night away. Would definitely recommend to others.

Smoking area was outside my room people outside all night kept me awake .

Regular here, usually visit once a year. Always superior room usually the big room with sofa, but disappointing the room this time round was smaller and not as pleasing. Room cleaning was disappointing, cobwebs on light fixtures, corner of bathroom. Towel rack dirty & rusty. Shower plug full of hair. Also some damage throughout the room, marks throughout the wallpaper, punch mark/hole on the bathroom door? Bathroom mirror light didn’t work. Shower temperature controls weren’t great either. Only 1 hanger and 1 towel in room, had to request more. Personally expect for a couple stay, 2 large towels & 1 hand towel. Body wash and soap included, no shampoo conditioner. Also no robes & slippers? Which should have been included in our package. Overall happy with the stay just disappointing to what we are usually used to here, like I said this is a regular stay for us and as a couple one of our favourite places to stay. Hoping this was constructive and look forward to returning hopefully again soon. Thank you

The hotel was very clean and tidy the rooms were very clean abit on the small side but for a couple was excellent the bed was comfortable and very clean with clean towels in the bathroom all so a nice touch was little soaps and body wash for you to use the staff were helpful in showing us how to use the main door with the key card and showed us to the room i will probably use this hotel again

Had a great stay, friendly welcome, bed comfy, curtains in the room could do with replacing, tea bags missing but I'm sure that was just an oversight and i had some with me coz i like decaf.

An overnight stay booked on the spur of the moment because of bad driving conditions. Bed covers were clean but that was the only positive. Walls were so stained and dirty I nearly left after 20 minutes, it made me feel uncomfortable. Didn’t take up the offer of breakfast as put off by condition of the room -which was in the “new” part of the hotel. Walls so thin you could hear people making phone calls in the next room.

I was appalled by how dirty the place was, especially in these covid times. There were stains on the sheets, cobwebs everywhere, the floor had not been hoovered, stains on the carpet, toothpaste in the sink, hair in the shower and feaces in the toilet.

Emma greeted us at the door and was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and she arranged our taxi to go out in the evening. The manager was very courteous and helpful. If we come to Preston again we would be more than happy to stay here. Thank you!
