This hotel is not a 5 star one, the breakfast options are way too limited and repetitive with low quality for a 5 star. The amenities are bad and they reuse the bottles, so they are lacking the color. The noise from around and inside the hotel, of motorcycles and cars, make me think that my villa was in the middle of a main street of Jakarta. Also the separation among villas is almost none existent, as I could listen to all the sounds produced by the neighbors.

Overall, stay was great. Villas were very nice, service was second to none. The only thing I’d want to change is seal the rooms a bit more from the outside. The doors close but a gap remains therefore exposing the inside and at times mosquitoes do come in. They do their best my putting down coils at sundown however. Overall a great stay tho!

Spacious . Very pleasant and helpful staff. Villa was very pretty. Outdoor toilet in the bedrooms was quite a unique experience.

Service is very good. Lotsa space for a 3 rooms villa with a good size pool amd depth. Had alot of fun just hanging around the villa. Location is decent, 15-20mins walk to malls and there's good restaurants and spa within 5mins walk from serene. Can consider booking the villa transport for tour or airport transfer, price is resonable.

Clean, modern, comfortable, privacy and amazing service

The name says it all, it was completely serene and a world away from lively Seminyak. The photos don't do justice to just how lovely the villa was, and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We'll definitely stay here again for our next Bali visit.

We booked Serene Palm for the 6 of us and were blown away by the service and hospitality of the staff. The villa is conveniently located near food/massage parlours.

We had a great time and will definitely be back! The breakfast was not your typical continental breakfast, it was made to order every morning with a great menu. The service staff were helpful and amazing.

Villa is clean, rooms are big, butler service is super. Walking distance to town. Will definately stay there again.

The villa is very nice and quiet, the staff is a little too much intrusive, and they come anytime without ringing the door, it can be very embarrassing. The only negative thing it's the lack of privacy.

Absolutely stunning Villas! Totally out did our expectations. The villas are in fantastic condition and so well maintained. Amazing staff who went above and beyond to cater for us. They accommodated for the honeymooners by providing champaign, roses and upgraded to a 3 bedroom villa all for free! Also gave my partner a cake for his birthday and gave all 9 of us cocktails for free!

We stayed at the Lotus Villa, we had a toddler, now as you as the enter the villa you hit the little pool and also there wasn't a proper passage connecting the bedroom and the living room, adults can easily walk across, but it was quite a risk with the baby around, we had to carry over every time she wanted to walk across the rooms. If you don't watch your step, you could stumble and fall over the concrete stones and eventually land in the pool. So watch those with little ones. The Villa is not so private, from the pool we could the terrace of the adjacent office building and I believe we could be heard in the office which is just adjacent to the Villa. The Villa also opens to the entrance directly, you could literally hear cars and moped getting parked in the evenings and taking off in the mornings. Quite a disturbance. Not so private at all. Besides the above, the villa staff were great, helpful as you would expect.

The "recently refurbished" 3 bedroom Cendana Villa offered the WOW factor on arrival. However, this is where the WOW factor stopped. Firstly, this property is definitely not 5 star - it is more 4 star. The overall rating of this hotel would have been higher except we feel the overall average needs to be significantly lower. The layout of the villa is fantastic however there are many flaws in practicality, maintenance and finishings. There are still several line markings all over the house, noticeably large cracks in mirrors, leaking air conditioning, smelly drains, water stains in bathrooms, no TV reception and disgustingly GREY (should be white), threading towels. Service was inconsistent and lacking for the best part. The passing on of information between butlers rarely occurred and full turn down was occasional. These concerns were raised with the low level english speaking "manager" who did little to better our stay. This property is 1 of 30 villas that are managed by the same company who clearly don't take corrective action. Prior to arrival, Serene were emailed to make sure everything was in perfect working order. However, on complaint, the manager stated that the TV reception issue is a current "project" at Serene. (i.e not perfect!) He blamed the TV providers when next door had perfect reception. The pool was large and sufficient if not a little too hot and over chlorinated. Overall, won't stay again but good value for 3 couples looking for an OK experience.

We stayed in the Serene Lotus 1 bedroom. I was worried by some of the other reviews that complained about the street noise. I think these were written by people from the suburbs who aren't used to normal city noises. We found the noise level to be acceptable. The villa was all we could ask for at this price point (the plunge pool was perfect). Wita, our Butler, was very sweet and helpful. Our only complaint is that guests will have to take a taxi everywhere. The villa is located down a quiet alley way that connects to a more main street that has no sidewalks. You can try to walk during the day, but it isn't very pleasant. Walking at night is dangerous due to lack of lighting and significant traffic.

We loved everything about our week in Serene Villas. Our butler Cipta was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. The staff could not do anything more than they already did. They make you feel like royalty. The villa is gorgeous and the pool area lovely. Great location too. Couldn't be happier to recommend this amazing place.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful, our butler Witta was lovely. The location is convenient and within walking distance of the main streets of Seminyak.

Good part of Bali to be at. Plenty of activities to do
