A nice hotel with amazing view but a very steep hill to walk up and down - was a challenge even for young people would not recommend if trouble walking

Great views, great shower, comfy bed, good air-con. Very clean and tidy. Basic rooms but tbh what more do you need. Breakfast not our cup of tea but that’s just a personal preference. Just bear in mind very steep walk up to property from town, we enjoyed walking off our dinner but if your not fit enough catch a taxi for a few euros instead.

Up a small hill off the main strip, but just a 5 min walk to bus stop 4, and what a view from the hotel. The pizza was so good, I ordered the same one 2 evenings in a row and had to do the same with one of their smoothies! Not quite sure how the hotel is rated a 2 star - it's a solid 3 star in my book!

From the beginning all the people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. We show up early to leave our luggage but they cleaned our room right away and let us check-in. The room was very clean with a great view.

I found hotel Rene online and it looked to good to be true but in fact it was!!! The staff is amazing and super attentive to everyone’s needs. Each morning we were served an INCREDIBLE breakfast by the water. The pool overlooking the sea is beautiful and never gets old. Our room was clean and had a beautiful porch with a place to hang our wet clothes and sit down. The bed was incredibly comfortable and they provided us with many extra blankets to make us feel at home. Sitting by the pool we ordered a great lunch and drinks and felt like we could stay there all day. It is only a 10 minute walk into town and provides a sanctuary from the busy town. While the walk was short, it is definitely steep so good to bring sneakers. All together, absolute paradise. Highly recommend.

We like everything about the hotel very clean friendly people Beautiful view . The only downfall is if you don’t have a car walking is quit a workout back and forth to the beach or in town. If you enjoy zen time by the pool great place.

Nice hotel at the top of a steep hill. A few minutes walk from the beach. Skiathos town is a 10-15 minute walk. There's a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. Staff are helpful and friendly, especially Sotos. Nice swimming pool with spectacular views.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! So much better than the 2 stars suggest.
The welcome was warm and friendly and our first impressions were excellent. The room was immaculately clean, spacious, perfectly modern with a lovely outside space too. The bed was to die for! Absolutely huge and so so comfy.
The family who run the hotel are so lovely, breakfast is great although more basic than in a more expensive hotel.
The pool is lovely, plenty of comfy loungers and umberellas. The views are beautiful!!
Location wise, this is just up a very steep hill from bus stop four and Skiathos town. We did this once a day with our baby in a pram and it was ok, but a level of fitness will be required otherwise jump

Staff were very nice. Breakfast food could have been better and somewhat limited. Unfortunately very few people staying so lack of atmosphere in bar etc. Hotel was being closed down around us.
So many steps to get to town and within hotel. Not suitable for unfit people.

We received exceptionally kind and helpful service at this comfortable and unpretentious hotel. We only stayed one night on our way to Skopelos, but were sorry not to have more time there and would definitely return for a few nights in Skiathos. The pool and views are great and the hotel is in a quiet area.

Lovely family run hotel in good location for the beach, town and the bus that runs to other beaches on the islands. The view and the pool are exactly as the pictures show, we had a great stay.

The view was gorgeous! Staff was very friendly and always available to help. Very clean facilities and good breakfast. Papou Nikko was a joy to chat with! Location was perfect! Short walk to the beach and another short walk into the town for evening fun. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

This is nice friendly family run hotel close to Skiathos town and Megali Ammos beaches. 32 rooms all with stunning sea views. We had room 401, clean with regular linen & towel changes. Efficient air-con and comfortable beds. Nice pool area with reasonably priced drinks and snacks. Never had problem of people reserving sunbeds for the 2 weeks we were there! Walking distance to main town and nearest beaches (10 mins) but up steep hill so may not be for everyone! Breakfast is limited but varied from fresh fruit to bacon & eggs, cold meats, cheese and cakes, plenty of breads to toast and good coffee - choice of juices from cartons - fresh OJ would have been nice. We very much enjoyed our stay and will return sometime hopefully 👍

Just returned from a week at Hotel Rene on a room only basis. We stayed in recently refurbished rooms with great sea views from the terrace. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a lovely quiet location only a 10 minute walk from the town centre (but up a steep hill)

The hotel is situated on a hill in Skiathos. The views were lovely and the hotel was convenient for the town although it is a steep walk down and up. There is parking for hire cars and the buses are convenient for getting to the beaches along the south coast.

Excellent hotel close to town with wonderful views, However the climb up is steep and not for families with children or mobility problems you would need a car. If You are fit then the walk to town is approx 15 Mins.

The rooms at this hotel were very clean and comfortable. The room had a fridge which was also great. The views from the rooms were spectacular and they were cleaned daily. My only recommendation would be that the hotel played some music by the pool as it was that quiet that you could here a pin drop and if you have children it can feel a little uncomfortable if they are playing and making noise. I also did not agree with having to pay 2 Euro for half a dozen ice cubes. This hotel is more suited for couples or groups of adults holidaying together in my opinion .

Had a lovely 10 days at this nice hotel. Our room was very clean, modern with a comfortable bed and a nice walk in shower. From our room and balcony we had fantastic views over Skiathos town and the bay. The pool and pool area is fantastic and very well kept with nice sun beds. There is a nice area in the shade for a cool drink and food with great views you can just look at for ages. The hotel is on a short steep road which can be hard to walk up in the heat or ladies in heels.
If there is a negative to this hotel we felt that the lack of a late evening bar to come back to after going out for a meal etc made the hotel lack a warm feeling and a chance for people to mingle and get to know each other.

We stayed here whilst on a friends wedding weekend trip. This is an amazing place, very friendly staff, very accommodating and quick to help. Room was modern and very clean, the pool was clean with amazing views. overall if you want a very chilled out relaxing hotel then this is the one. The town is about a 5 min stroll away so no taxis needed unless you struggle to navigate an incline to get to the hotel.

Staff were great - tasos is really helpful and the cleaners who visited every day were very friendly!
The hill is steep tho! But the view and location is worth it! we definately recommend it and my Boyf is very picky :) xxx

We liked the hotel. It was clean and had a nice pool area. The poolbar had a small menu but unfortunately most dishes were bought from the supermarket. We had preferred it to be made in the bar. The staff was friendly and helpful.
