Hotel Sept-Iles is an old hotel but offers wonderful waterfront views of most rooms. The exterior, hallways and staircases are in terrible 1 * quality condition. However, the rooms were mostly updated with comfortable beds, clean sheets, good Keurig coffee maker and hot water with good water pressure. It has a fantastic location and is affordable. Don't be turned off by the exterior appearance - staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Nous avons été très déçus dès notre arrivée à l’hôtel. En ouvrant la porte de la chambre, il faisait extrêmement chaud et il y avait une odeur de cigarette. Sans air climatisé, nous avons dû ouvrir la fenêtre, qui donne sur le balcon partagé avec tous les fumeurs. On a ouvert la porte pour aerer. Tous les locataires etaient debout a 2am. La plupart fumait. Très désagréable. La salle de bains est en grand besoin de rénovation, avec son allure des années 70, sans même de ventilateur. La buée de la douche réchauffe ainsi la chambre davantage. En plus, nous avions besoin de monnaie pour la buanderie et en avions demandé à la caisse et au restaurant, mais en vain. Nous n’avons donc pas pu faire notre lavage. Bref, dans ces conditions, nous avons quitté l’hôtel plus épuisé que lorsque nous y sommes arrivés.

The hotel is right on the waterfront, and every room has a great view and a balcony with chairs. That said, the rooms are dated, the bed wasn't that comfortable, and the railing on the balcony is rusted and looks a little unsafe. The staff members were very friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.

Avoid at all cost. From the moment we checked-in, we regretted our decision. It took them two days to prepare our room. There was no AC and only a small window, so the air is always damp and hot. The worst part was the staff. They simply do not care about you and put in zero effort to do their jobs. We had so many more complaints that I don't have the patience to type out here. There are so many other hotels in the city. Go to any of them before booking here.

The room smells of cigarette smoke

I booked with Expedia. Two rooms left. Took a king suite. Called the hotel asking for a taxi. They said no, they won't send a taxi because I don't have a room, they are full. Confirmed by Expedia, but not the hotel, you need to fix that.

Stepping into the blue-tiled bathroom with blue sink and blue bathtub and questionable faucets was a real turnoff. It is way over time for a renovation to the bathrooms. It has been too long...

Property was ok for what it was. Was disappointed with the fact that there was no AC or at least a ceiling fan or a standing fan. Room was hot and window was really small.

Appart the view over the sea, there is nothing good in this hotel. I was in a non renovated room. Uninterested ladies at the reception, they need to work more on the cleaning and maintaining the place (for example none of the second floor doors wasn’t opening without squishy sound). The restaurant is very dirty too, couldn’t eat there.

L'hotel est très vieux, et les chambres le sont également. Mais c'est propre et le lit, n'était pas trop mal confortable. La vue sur la mer est superbe. Il n'y a pas de de Clim dans les chambres, mais on peut ouvrir les fenêtres et avoir l'air frais de la côte nord et entendre les vagues. Mais bruyants lorsque les gens qui passent.

Nice place. Staff super helpful. I had a great time and will be back for sure. André the own will do anything to have their customer having the best moment. Restaurant food are the best in town. Great Chef. I was surprise to have that quality of food in a small town like Sept Iles.

It was very dirty in the room and everywhere in the hotel. Very very noisy, the bed wasn’t comfortable, no air conditioning, we are very disappointed and we are wondering if the hotel is giving their worst rooms to hotels.com. To consider

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel à cause de la vue qu'il offre sur l'eau et à cause de sa proximité avec la marina : nous n'avons pas été déçus. Le long balcon extérieur est plaisant pour la vue mais sa configuration fait en sorte que nous entendons les gens qui font la fête tard le soir, ce qui peut être dérangeant.

Very quiet and nice view looking over the bay

1)they didn't have my reservation 2)they insisted on making me pay when I was showing them it was paid 3)Expedia ended up reimbursing me what they took because it was too complicated to have them reimburse me (and the guy did not speak English) 4)my room was ugly, looked from the 70's and lit of stuff was either not working properly or fixed "with duck tape" 5)when I complained they gave me a second room..where no lights were working 6)3rd room was clean - still old but clean, but it has bed bugs, and I found it only when I was leaving the last day 7)during my stay, I met 2 different clients who when they entered the room they were given, found out that it was already occupied 8)every night I went, kitchen was closed in the restaurant I'm pretty sure there was other things, but can't remember. I was kinda finding that almost entertaining, until I see the bug in my suitcase was I was packing to leave. All of that for a 4 night stay business trip where I almost got in, sleep, go to work, get back, sleep... But, on the bright side, Every room have a vintage beer bottle opener dating from the 70's installed in the bathroom so you can drink and forget the horrible situation you are in.

For one night stay it is fine. Good locale. No ice machine have to go to restaurant. Hallway carpet should be replaced. Nice to have non carpeted floors in room. Bed was comfy. Balcony is nice but could be way better if cleaned nice benches and a few hanging plants would make huge difference. On waterfront. Price good. Next to park and splash pad. internet poor. poor.
