The Cook Hotel and Convention Center is an excellent hotel. The hotel has all the amenities, a good breakfast, and the rooms are large and well equipped. It is as if you are in a high-end apartment rather than a hotel room, equipped with a spacious living area, full kitchen and bath, and a divine bedroom. This is the place that you want to stay when you have business to do on LSU Campus, or you just want a relaxing place to see your LSU Tiger! So, don't give it a second thought, and book it now! You won't go wrong. The Zalis Family, Harding Township, NJ, aka 'El Garbancito Espanol' :)

Power went out for two hours so we were burning up. However the place is very nice and cool. Right on the campus

We found many issues with the property maintenance and service (AC, hot water, overflowing tub).

LSU does it better. This is an amazing hotel with comfortable rooms with blackout curtains and a breakfast buffet. Great place to stay if you are headed to campus or want to be close to downtown. Parking is free. They also have a gift shop with LSU merchandise and tiger themed items. Speaking of Tigers- you can easily take a walk to see Mike's habitat or go the other direction and take a stroll around the lake.

Got to the hotel, wasn’t greated upon arrival could tell the front desk people were dealing with something. Once everything was taken care of for room quickly. Room stayed hot.

Beautiful property on a beautiful campus. The stay was great. The only bad thing was that our neighbors were loud and kept us up until 1 am. That was awful but the rest was fine!

Our trip was amazing! We enjoyed the tranquility of the whole place.
The only problem was that the hot water struggled to get hot for us one evening. Called the front desk and was promised service but no one showed up. Finally got hot water the next mid-morning

The room layout was great. However it took forever to get hot water
Maintenance said boiler was on opposite side of bldg.
Curtains were falling off rod and tissure was about to fall off wall. Room needed Maintenance.

The staff was nice but I was disappointed in my stay. The pool was broken during our stay, the pillows were hard, the bed was not comfortable and the breakfast was terrible. They offered the same boring breakfast everyday and no seasonal fresh fruit or yogurt or healthier options.

I’m very disappointed about the lady at check in she was very rude and unprofessional because I booked through Expedia when we passed the check in I politely asked for an extra shampoo and she stated that they run out no more shampoo at the hotel I couldn’t believe it but it’s what it’s on this days. I’m pretty sure she will get fired ASAP
