Amazing location and very clean.

My overall stay was enjoyable. The hotel was in a very good location and easily walk-able to various shops and restaurants. The Humming Bird restaurant staff, located on the hotel property, were substandard and disconcerting. During my reservation I paid $50 for a breakfast/brunch setting. Upon arriving for the breakfast my wife and I were told we could not be seated due to the restaurant being fully booked. We were offered an outside table, but due to the weather and humidity conditions, this was insufficient. We found the staff to be dismissive and very nonchalant concerning tis incident. I brought this up to the front desk and they said they would refund the $50 dollars, which I have not seen posted to my credit card account. This weekend stay was a time for relaxation for my wife and I. Overall I would rate the hotel as good. But for the cost this establishment nothing to get overly excited about. In the future I will consider other locations and I will not use Expedia.

Everything about the Hotel Indigo was wonderful Stephan at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed, the room was beautiful,The View was fabulous, the proximity to restaurants and attractions was great and even the parking was very convenient.

1- Front desk staff need more training on guest relations. I arrived at the property at about 3:15 PM. Two other guest checking in, two attendants at the front desk, only one checking in guests. It took about 15 minutes for me to check in. 2- I had to let the shower in my room run for 5 minutes (waste of water) before I got some hot water. If the hot water loop is working properly, that should not happen. The property is beautiful and its strategic location on Union St. is a definite plus. 3- My first day after check in, at 7:10 PM, I was requested to come down to the front desk to straighten my parking status. When I came down, I was told to go to the parking level to talk to the attendant. When I got there, he had figured out his mistake about my vehicle. The parking system and the front desk should be seamless to the guest. Once I turn in my car, I should feel confident that my car keys are not being given to another guest. In a large organization, systems are very important. Everybody knows what to do and why its done that way. 4- I used the restaurant twice and it was a delight. Comprehensive menu, nice wine list and very attentive staff. I must recognize Yasser for being solicitous and offering recommendations. It was my wedding anniversary and overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

We were there for a family situation/visit. The room felt soooo old. We have stayed there before and the room we had previously was quite nicer. This room felt old and dark. The lighting in the bathroom area was terrible. The room needs more light. The bathroom shower while it looked very clean had some mold in various spots, which freaks me out! I was very disappointed with the room itself.

Hidden fees that they don’t tell you about when checking in

We travel from South Carolina to Upstate New York often. Alexandria is a great halfway point to stop. We have come to love Old Town Alexandria. Hotel Indigo is great. it's a newer hotel with water views. Close to everything. Parking is easy but pricey ($35 a night) but that's pretty standard in the area. Service is great. Lindsay at the front desk is wonderful; friendly and knowledgeable. Restaurant and outside patio on site are great.

Five star stay, the toilet kept running very fifteen minutes or so but the front of house staff was so lovely and helpful with getting the issue fixed. Loved the location on the water.

This was our second stay at Hotel Indigo. It was perfect for a single night stay for my husband, son and me. It is an easy walk to the Alexandria waterfront and tons of restaurants and shops and has a parking garage attached. We will stay here again!

Good experience overall. Service staff were good overall but did not have a very welcoming vibe which is disappointing. Biggest negative was the AC on the room. Temp would not go below 70 and that made sleeping comfortably challenging.

This is a very nice hotel in a superbly elegant town on the water. The location could not be better, and the rooms are priced very fairly.

Great property, cozy, conveniently located and good parking

The staff is excellent. Helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. And... you can walk to King Street or the Potomac in just a couple blocks. I highly recommend Indigo if you are coming to Old Town Alexandria.

The lady working overnight was not pleasant at all. I tried to book a room on Friday night in person after being on the road for 20 hours and she wouldn’t let me book in person and was VERY rude throughout the process. She said I had to do it online, it was 2 am, we were too tired to even figure it out and slept in our car… we ended up booking online for the ride back because the kids really wanted to stay there.. this is pretty unacceptable in 2024 that the front desk is incapable of booking a room at the desk…. We saw her again checking in and she was more a bit more pleasant this time since we had a room but I have to tell you working with her was extremely painful. You guys may want to reevaluate your staff, this is the hospitality industry. May not be for everyone.

Great location in Old Town Alexandria, very near the river and 2 blocks from King street. Large, active bar and nice dining room. Dining room should have blinds,as the morning sun can be overwhelming. Parking is on site but pricey.

Staff was extremely personable and helpful

Very well located, very attractive and very comfortable facilities. Front desk service was somewhat disinterested. More training would be helpful, but they were competent. We would stay here on our next trip.

Fantastic view of the Potomac and just outside of the hustle of King street, yet close to everything.

The hotel was lovely, and walking along the river and through the downtown streets was very enjoyable.

Great place. Perfect location. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and the gentleman at the front desk gave her a $30 coupon to use in their restaurant/bar. We have been coming here for her birthday every year, including the very first weekend they opened.
