The historic decor of the dining area and the garden restaurant.
The room is tiny. The shower cabinet is poorly designed, resulting in the bathroom floor half flooded after a shower. Service is average. We made a request for a table in the garden and waited for 20 mins without any staff offering to help. At the end we found out that our request was misunderstood! Was trying to ask for something on Sat evening but no one answering from front desk despite calling a few times. The room is expensive and we chose it because of the good comments in booking.com. Unfortunately, it was not the case!

The room and facilities in them were very luxurious.comfy bed and tea and coffee with delicious home made biscuits and also treats in the turndown service. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice too . Very good Central location in easy walking distance of town centre and next to bus stop for Blenheim(we were going to nocturne concert there)

Fantastic in every way:friendly and helpful staff, the building-outside and inside, cleanliness, location, parking space, breakfast, the library, comfortable bed plus the decor was inspiring.
We couldn’t fault anything.

Everything. Well run, great staff, lovely surroundings, comfortable bed, and great attention to even the smallest detail. Good location for exploring Oxford.

Location, cleanliness standard of accommodation, very comfortable bedrooms and great shower !
The only not particularly nice thing was that there was a long grey hair in my wife’s breakfast on the first day of our stay. The second breakfast was perfect as was the rest of the stay.

Loved the presentation and the staff. all excellent. Our martinis were beautifully presented. The staff were really accommodating - even allowing us to order porridge (which was off menu) for Breakfast, which was delicious.

Room was very comfortable and we had been upgraded. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Building is beautiful and the location is perfect.
The iron we borrowed was dirty and not very good.

Everything but the price. I had a marvelous experience but the value for money just wasn’t there. The staff was exceptional though, they made us feel so comfortable.

Breakfast was perfectly perfect!! Staff were super helpful and efficient. Location is excellent, 10 minutes walk into Centre. Deccor is tasteful and really good quality. Parking option is a huge bonus too.
From arrival to departure, the staff responded fast and fabulously to all / any requests I made. I needed my bedding replaced with non-feather, non-allergic options and the staff were amazing. Within 15 minutes they were changing the bedding for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant. Will go back again without hesitation.
Maybe a USB port in the room for phone charger would be a useful standard. But in fairness, when I asked staff to provide one it arrived within minutes!

Friendly staff, lovely restaurant, pretty library
Cleaner/ housekeeper couldn't speak English and when we asked her not to come in, she came in all the same. She was a lovely lady all the same.

Reservations were a little tricky, it seems that not all messages came through. The staff were, however, superb. Truly professional and accommodating. The hotel is lovely, great location and a truly five-star experience.
There was just some miscommunication, but I think the staff are working under a lot of pressure.

This beautiful old building is an oasis of calm set in the heart of the city a short walk from restaurants museums shops theatres etc. The rooms are both comfortable and beautifully presented with everything you need. The staff were so friendly and helpful going the extra mile to make our stay perfect and very special.
