The pet friendly room was better than most. There were gluten free breakfast options.
Check out was disappointing. I waited at the front desk for almost 10 minutes waiting for someone. Her explanation was that she had to do dishes - no apology.

Arrival to room was met with heavy mold musty smell when door opened! So bad that air fresheners were needed! Plus allergy medication for partner. Main amenities were good, bed was good, way past time for a remodel to be done! I am professional contractor so have 20 years experience in industry. Would review room prior to booking.

This was one of the dirtiest places I have stayed in a long time. I have stayed at many country inn and suites. If this was my 1st I would never stay in one again. The place stunk and was very dirty. The bathroom door didn’t even shut. They didn’t have any usb chargers in the room. The shower/tub was very slippery about fell and the tub backed up during a shower above my ankles. It should have been a $39.95 a night room not well over a $100. Waste of money and felt dirty even after a shower.

The staff was very friendly and met all of our needs without hesitation!! The room was certainly acceptable for our needs. We enjoyed our time and will not hesitate to book a return visit when attending another South Bend Cubs game!

There was rarely any staff at the front desk and I had to wait 10 minutes the first time and 20 minutes the second time before they returned and then the staff member had the audacity to be rude to me regarding the situation. I was late for work because it took 55 minutes to check in.
First attempt/key card did not work. Second attempt/key card gave me access to a room that had not been cleaned at all. Third attempt/key card was for a room with sticky floors, sticky surfaces, and a sticky remote---I just gave up and cleaned it myself.
Cleaning staff slammed doors instead of closing them.
During the 3rd day of a 4 day stay, they began replacing the room door locks on my floor. There was no mention of this during check in or when I made the reservation. I was working third shift at a nearby hospital and needed to sleep during the day while they pounded and drilled for hours and hours over two days.
Check out was quicker, but key card access from the parking lot to my side of the building was terminated before I checked out, which required walking all the way around to the front of the building to get the rest of my luggage.
I spoke with the general manager and he did not seem to understand that, as a paying customer at his hotel, I was entitled to a reasonably quick check in and a room where I could actually sleep.... he just made excuses and pointed out things I could have done to make the situation better. He was completely tone deaf to my basic customer expectations.

Honestly, for the price and lication its a great value hotel, yes it could have a more modern feel and it is being updated...i understand the negative reviews, but also they are a little harsh...service was great, breakfast was a typical hotel meal, overall solid stay

The young lady at the desk was completely flakey; couldn’t answer a question, and had a young man with her who was standing outside the entrance of the hotel drinking out of a full bottle of vodka straight from the bottle. The furniture in the room was actually falling into pieces. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had.

The first room we were assigned wasn’t even ready and we showed up well after check in, the 2nd room was out of service and the 3rd just wasn’t clean enough, curtains didn’t close and the elevator wasn’t working. It is hard for my dad to walk so us going to the second floor wasn’t ideal. They did say they are going thru a remodel but I was not happy at all. Will appreciate that they didn’t make it hard to to leave or get a refund.

The hotel is undergoing renovations, but unfortunately the room was not included in the renovations. The tub and bathroom floor were filthy, so much so that I insisted on wearing shoes or socks and not showering. The toilet was super low and the seat was about to fall off. No channels on the TV. The doors stuck badly as if the building has shifted. The bed was ok, but quite firm. The room itself was very stale/musty.
The check-in desk staff were fine and we only stayed 1 night so never saw housekeeping. We didn't bother complaining as the hotel parking lot was packed and we weren't planning on being there too much.

First of all, there was no one at the front desk for about 10 minutes when I came in. Had to wait around quite a while. Then the elevator didn’t work to get us up to second floor rooms. So we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs to get to our rooms down a hallway and they didn’t have carts at the top of the stairwell to help with that process. The tub was filthy. The floor and the bathroom was filthy. There was grime up under the table where the coffee maker was at.

Sadly the location was great, the rooms were clean however poor service! We were there for 5 days never once had towels changed, room cleaned or garbage removed! Breakfast was not good-no fruit, poor quality! No stay on hand at midnight or 5am!

Air conditioner in the room had a bad leak that meant we had maintenance in the room for a while. Elevator was not working. Also, there is no bedside outlet (USB or standard plug) and several of the wall plugs in the room did not work. That's a crazy thing to have in 2024. Staff was great but it's a bit cheaper than other options in the area for a good reason.

I didnt get the room I paid for and was told by a very disinterested employee that they didn’t have any of the correct rooms left. Even though I had the confirmation email from Expedia. She did not care nor did she appear to care that I reserved a certain room and then was expected to accept a different, inadequate room instead. No concern, no apology, nothing. Of course I had no choice but to accept it as it was late and I needed to sleep… terrible, inadequate service.

Mattress sunk in the center. The curtains were ripped. TV screen image was fuzzy with poor internet. Bathroom door would get stuck and had to be pushed forcibly to open. We had a first floor room close to the lobby and it could get very noisy with people chatting in the lobby and during breakfast hours. Entire hotel needs to be renovated.

The staff was lovely but the hotel was in very poor condition. The elevator was broken, there were not enough staff to do daily cleaning of the rooms and hallways, our room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the a/c was broken in my friend's room. The hotel also ran out of towels. I am white and the manager was kind and helpful to me but he seemed to have a less patient and more critical attitude toward my friends, who are Black. Overall, very much below par.

I had a great stay at this property. Whenever I return, I would definitely stay again. Everyone that I encountered was pleasant and helpful. My room was great and right on the 1st floor. I easily utilized baggage hold.
I also appreciated the availability of the shuttle to take us to a team building event, as well as the airport.

We were very disappointed when we arrived. We’ve stayed at various country inn and suites since I was a kid, but this may have deterred us in the future. Firstly, there was construction on the roof happening, and we weren’t informed. We were scared to walk under the awning as the workers were throwing things and dropping things from the roof. Not to mention making parking extremely difficult.
We left and came back in the evening, and there were people hanging outside the hotel entrance, creating an uneasy feeling. The people next to us yelled and argued the entire evening and through the night. When we tried to go to the pool, it was closed during open hours, and when it was open, we realized there was a layer of dirt and oil at the top of the pool.
In the room, the bathroom was disgusting: bugs crawling on the walls, holes in the towels, and the shower tub was dirty. Overall, this is likely the last time we will be staying.
