Grand Hotel Minerva is truly fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and their warmth and attentiveness were remarkable. They were especially kind to our daughter, doting on her and making her feel like a VIP—a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special.
The hotel itself is exceptional, with high standards of quality, comfort, and cleanliness evident throughout. Our room was impeccably maintained, offering a perfect retreat after long days exploring Florence. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to walk to all the major sights and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Florence.
We also loved the rooftop terrace with its stunning views and the serene pool, which offered a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of the city.
If you’re looking for a hotel that combines luxurious accommodations with outstanding service and a prime location, Grand Hotel Minerva is a perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

We are staying at Deluxe double room for four nights. The room is spacious and well equipped. However, some of the arrangements in the bathroom are very strange. For example, the hooks for towels are installed inside the shower area. Makes no sense. Other than that, location is excellent. Rooftop view is unbeatable. Hotel design is heartwarming and just like your home. Highly recommended.

An upmarket hotel in an excellent location in the centre of Florence. The rooftop swimming pool with a view towards the Duomo and many other magnificent landmarks is a lovely place to refresh after a busy day’s sightseeing!

This hotel is great, the piazza is wide and clean, and it's a very close walk to Florence's train station if you're arriving by train. You can easily roll all your large suitcases there and back from the station to the hotel.
The views of the square from your room are great, and even if you don't have one the roof pool deck is classy and the views are amazing.

Best hotel in Florence and so walkable from every major location. No other transport needed. Bring a swimsuit! The scorching heat and extensive walking was counterbalanced with a beautiful pool to relax before dinner. Staff was excellent all around, but especially the breakfast crew which made every morning a pleasant experience.

The roof top was fabulous. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful suite and an early morning flight. The staff made us a special to-go breakfast and arranged our transport. We wished we could stay longer and enjoy the hotel.

Great hotel near the heart of Florence. A bit close to the train station thus some over flow of riffraff, but a great hotel that is easily walkable and central.

From different hotels I've stayed in Florence in the past, I'd say Minerva was the better one. These are what you may notice: roomier lounge, more light, roof top view, and also very educated staff. The room service manager is very smart in timing and the location is less than 10 min walk to Duomo or Uffizzi, and Vecchio, etc. Also if you have car, the area in front of hotel is great for valets or parking, and taxis can come to pick you up easily (specially if want to attend a venue)

A room costing over £600 per night should offer better quality. It was too small and needed refurbishment. Additionally, the ventilation was too noisy to sleep with it turned on.

Overall, the hotel was a great location and comfortable.
The building is historic but really needs and interior facelift to command high rates. The bathroom was poorly designed for a couple to share. The bathtub-shower combination extremely dangerous. Service was excellent so overall nice stay.

Amazing location 10/10. Many things are all walking distance! The concierge are really helpful too in booking reservations for restaurants and tours! Definitely would stay again.

The hotel is beautiful and convenient to walk from the train station(5 minutes) and all the shopping etc. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast and a nice dinner. The only small downside is the rooms have little to no storage…. Very much like an ALOFT hotel in the US

Fantastic hotel! Best hotel I have stayed at in Italy. Loved the location right next to the Santa Maria Novella Basilica -a must see church, museum and Cloister. Special surprise - Galileo exhibit when we were there!

It is a very beautiful hotel, very well located. We had an upgrade on our room, but it received a very bar odor from sometimes during the day. The Hotel offered us a change of room. Very nice staff and attentions.

The stay was excellent as we chose the hotel because of the vicinity and the closeness to major attractions. We booked through the website and got the most expensive option but found out at the property through the manager that there was an option for upgrade to premier rooms with a better view. That was quite shocking as the additional price for upgrade was significant and left a sour taste in our mouth as we were expecting the premiere room with a view on the website. We didn’t push it any further but my advise to other Travellers would be to compare other options
