First room was stinking of sewage. We got moved to a second room which had no hot water, freezing through the night with no heating coming on, the electrics were dangerous, shower was over flowing due to blocked waste pipes and the tv didn't work. Stay completely ruined. We were told to get in touch with the manager to arrangement a refund, to which weve had no response at all. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Hotel looks pretty run-down, stainy walls, broken floor.
Window handle broke on a cold evening,
got a different room without heating, no hot water.
Staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel should be shut and totally refurbished as its in an poor state, the photos on web site have been CGI as in reality its nothing like the hotel. Every one is spoke to had a problems staying at the hotel and one couple i spoke to at breakfast had their celling fall in on them in the night and they had been in 4 different rooms over the week. Simply either totally refurbish or demolish and rebuild as the location is great. I will never stay at this group of hotels again.

Firstly, we can’t fault the staff, always friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is very dilapidated and requires some urgent TLC. The spa change rooms are disgusting, the showers barely spray water and Luke warm at best.
The room was clean but again needs modernising. It was very noisy through the night and the window had gaps in it, making it drafty and noisy from outside.
Overall we had a pleasant stay and it served the purpose, but this hotel is really starting to look tired and urgently needs some investment.
We have stayed in hotel much less in terms of the price and they were in far better condition.

The property is over values in any aspect.
Cost of dinner and breakfast is much higher than it should be.
Property is dated in any aspect.
Just an example - no telephone in room and beds are very narrow

My experience wasn't as bad as other reviews. It's a 2* property, so don't have too high expectations. The staff were friendly, the room reasonable (had a bath, which is great after a day's hiking), breakfast was good, facilities a bit old fashioned but comfortable. It also has a rather faded leisure centre with gym, pool, sauna, if you can drag your aching limbs there.

Disappointed. Shame on you Orbitz for not vetting your properties. This place is run down and falsely advertised. Room 105- oldest bedding and furniture seen since 1970’s. No heat for 2 days. Maintenance never came. Shower barely has pressure and cold water never got beyond lukewarm. The pool and gym were the only attractive thing about this place. Don’t book beyond £70 per night - it’s not worth more.
Location is perfect and ample free parking.

Its not the staff fault, they do a good job but i dont feel the manager/owner inspres of motivates as this place certainly needs a lick of paint - thats an understatement. Loud music all night i could hear from my room as there was a private function. Overall, 2 stars is beyond generous, but the staff are doing their best in tough conditions.

Amazing stay all round! Great bar meal, and good whisky.

This property, although acceptable is rather tired and in need of renovation.

In general, the hotel, for one or two nights is okay.
Positive: The pool and spa for sure was the best and there is a good gym. Great location in the middle of the city, walkable distance of the market and coffee place and enough park.
Negative: The hotel need a better maintenance (paint peeling off), the bedroom and bathroom really simple, but ok, no AC, no mini bar and no USB or type C plugs (Need the UK adapter). At least a ice maker in the hallway would make better (baby's bottom of milk and baby's food)

Very appropriate for a 3 star. Clean, quiet, friendly staff.

Very sad dated property which with a few areas worked on could be passable.
Gym - kit missing or just old and clunky. rower strap on foot missing, battery operated readout not working (easy to replace battery), no spray to disinfect after usage.
Pool area was fine and i can see this might be the only area i enioyed of the hotel
in room smelled foosty and damp, condensation on the window which was fine when aired. but then at 10pm both nights a random wail comes from the recyling bins. never found out what this was but enough to close window. bathroom was very sad with stains, holes in floor, mould in places, and just old.
two barmen were arguing at each other in front of public and one member charged a member of public £26 for a steak despite it saying £22 in the menu. bloke just went oh well i pay.
upon arriving i was in my business suit so was recommended the restaurant then went to change into joggers and a jumper and upon arrival some snotty nosed french guy said "oh sir would you like to see the bar menu". i asked if there was a dress code for the 'fine dining' (which was tables set against the backdrop of the morning buffet. he said no so i replied i will sit here thanks. food was average. not fine. just ok.
was leaving on my last day at 6am so asked for a packed brekkie. lady said yes fine please come and see me on friday. saw her on friday at 910pm. was told orders needed to be in by 9pm. i just laughed. crap hotel. naff staff. wont go back

Heated pool was bliss after day of driving, comfy bed and soft sheets

It was worst experience. It was nothing worth the amount I paid. The room was so small and I had to stay on the floor

Beautiful location surrounded by hills and historic bridge.

Spa facilities were good, with pool, sauna and steam room. Dinning catering more for coach parties but plenty of options in nearby town
4.0 / 5.0
The hotel was very clean and organized. I liked how there were two options for where you could have dinner, in the bar, or in the restaurant.

Rather tired looking. Needs a major update.

This was a stop off on a longer journey chosen for it's location. The staff are lovely and the rooms clean, however the walls are paper thin and because of the coach tours its very noisy at times. A bit far out of Fort William to walk in but it is doable if the weather allows. It's clean and practical for a one night stop. Decent buffet breakfast.

Overnight stay before travelling further into Scotland. Hotel was nice in parts, decor could have been better in room and definitely do not think it was a supreme room as booked

Great pool and spa with steam room, sauna, and hot tub. Hard to get to town on Sunday local bus didn’t run often …

The hotel was OK it just too far from downtown and they give us room very far from the lobby and you have to carry your luggage through the stairs because they don’t have elevators. The hotel appears to be quite old.

We book a family room and we were totally disappointed in regard to the room and especially the bathroom.
The services (pool and fitness equipment) were ok.

Lovely staff breakfast wasn’t the best but facilities was great had a good night sleep which is all I needed

Sraff, and pool are very good, unfortunately the bathrooms, change rooms and shower at the spa were grubby, and had no supplies.
The room was ok as clean and spacious, but the beds could use new mattress, and the room should be refurbished. This was a last minute choice, and ill not be returning.

The place is nice and close to attractions. The parking is convenient, and while the hotel is old, it's well-maintained. The swimming pool is excellent. The staff is kind but not always cooperative; I've been trying to get my forgotten tablet back for two weeks. Despite this, I enjoyed my stay.

This was a very comfortable location! It was a little dated but clean! You could tell they worked hard to keep it that way. The staff was kind and patient with all of our questions
1.0 / 5.0
Very poor, very expensive for what it was, food quality not great, simple things salt and pepper available on all tables and replenished daily.
Was looking forward to my stay and was very disappointing don't mind paying a high price for decent quality stay, the whole place is just so tired and badly in need of an upgrade. Even the presentation of the staff was poor there is just no corporate identity. On a positive the staff were helpful and pleasant but the company need to create an environment where the staff can take pride in, that comes from the top. I'm afraid the poor impression comes from the top.

A bit tired but convenient for walks and transport

The staff were great very helpful and attentive 10/10 for them . Shame about the hotel itself . We booked a Priority room , it was very poor not what you would expect a priority room to be . Very dark , very small bed right at the top of hotel . Asked to move but hotel was full. Heard a few other guests complaining about rooms as well . Needs a refurb .

The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendy! Thry accomidated us when we needed to change rooms! The bar staff was friendly as well and made.you feel welcomed and comfortable.
The location is a touch out of the way, but if you dont mind a bit of walk it wasnt anything unmanageable.

This property is located in Fort William and the rooms are very old and the property needs a lot of maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Very tired and well overdue a make over. My room smelt damp and for the money paid it was very small, dark and rundown.
Breakfast was fine if you wanted the full cooked, but alternatives were limited.

Always go here for the past three years however the smell of dampness is getting worse, not in the main building though, definitely needs to be furnished and the wheelchair accessible room is ok IF your not a big person

Would have been a decent room - at half the price. Room was priced at the low end of the luxury range, but had very little space outside the bed, all the basic amenities but no extras as the price would suggest, and the building is clearly ageing and being peppered over. The "leisure club" was pretty basic - pool, saunas and jacuzzi (cold water as the hot water didn't work), all on the small side, at the level of a good public facility rather than a spa facility. If access to this was a driver of the higher price, it wasn't worth it.

Place beat up needs some attention
1.0 / 5.0
The hotel room was good...but that is where it finishes.
Both evenings i went down to the leisure club and the jacuzzi was very cold, though the attendant did tell us (the second time) that it had been refilled and wasnt up to normal temperature yet.
But...
The buffet breakfast was absolutely awful. The first morning we went down just after 9am (breakfast was advertised as open to 9:30)...it looked like all that was left was leftovers. There were many items e.g. croissants no longer available, the eggs were dried up and rubbery and none of the hot food was hot!! Very disappointing. The second morning we were down at 8am and it was little better, though a few more items available.
We were on our last couple of nights of our holiday touring the north coast 500, this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at and we expected a bit of 'luxury' but it was by far the worst breakfast experience we had (and i'm trying to think of anywhere that was so bad in all our years of travelling!!)
