Right on State Street about halfway up. Seems like an old midcentury modern that they have rebooted. Cute style, friendly staff. Bar/restaurant by the pool. Only problem was the AC was very loud and went on and off like every 4 minutes all night. LOUD then SILENT, repeat.

The property is clean and quiet. The pool area is cute and has a retro vibe. I would stay here again.

Very surprised by the quality of this Courtyard. Courtyards are usually your basic, run-of-the-mill hotels (ie Holiday Express) but this one raises the bar extremely high. The rooms themselves are beautiful and extremely spacious with a an awesome bathroom. Seriously, I could do a cartwheel in this room and not touch anything, that's how much space there is. Wifi runs like a breeze. Pool area is also great with great service. Great location puts you right in the heart of downtown where there is plenty to do. Easily had my pick of the litter with food choices in walking range and there are even movie theaters in walking range as well. Great hotel overall.

Clean, good staff, and good location. I just don't like it when they do not disclose all the extra fees up front. Between extra taxes, parking, etc. its close to double the nightly fee.

Clean and well located property. Comfortable beds, clean room, gym, common areas. Decent service, although housekeeping knocking on door Sunday at 8am, should be addressed.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The bar was super convenient. The walkable distance to all the restaurants on State street was very fun and enjoyable.

Enjoyed this property in downtown Santa Barbara. The staff was excellent, they went out of the way to be helpful!! We loved all the communal spaces as we were a large family group in town for a graduation.

Excellent location! Walked everywhere throughout our stay. The property really is beautiful. Loved the Palm Springs vibe. Staff was very personable and attentive.

Hotel is a 1.8 mile straight shot down State Street to the waterfront, where we spent most of our time. It wasn’t convenient to go back to the hotel between activities so proximity might be a concern for guests for whom a lot of walking is a consideration. Overall, good, comfortable accommodation with no surprises

This would have been an okay place to come back to. The rooms were fine. A little on the smaller size. However I think that is the norm in this area since many “hotels” were previously transformed from motels. It was fine for my husband and I. The reason I’m giving this establishment 3 stars is because the walls are extremely thin. You can hear people at all hours of the night. The people next door to us were loud, playing their music, and obviously drinking till almost 4am. So, just beware if you’re staying here, that the walls are super thin, you can hear everything!!! Not the best place if you’re looking to get some peace and quiet.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, and well appointed. I really love the bathrooms, which were SUPER nice, though the shower could have been slightly bigger. Coffee in the lobby wasn't the greatest - it's a "Starbucks machine" and one cup was $4...I should have just ran to an actual Starbucks to grab a cup. Other than that LITTLE thing, this place was awesome, and I will definitely be back!

Heating fan in room noise was so terrible. Couldn’t sleep well

It is a very practical hotel with everything you need including free laundry (but you need to ask them how to do it for free). The room is practical and clean. Recently renovated so pretty much everything is new. Nothing fancy here. But nice place that is close to State Street where you can go to many nice restaurants. It used to be a motel but the renovation is full so it is quite comfortable. (if you have stayed at other Courtyard by Marriott this is similar.) Basic, comfortable and practical...great if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room.

I booked a king size bed and was given a queen size bed instead. But Expedia and the hotel did give me some discount at the end.
