The studio was gorgeous and spacious. Walking in and staying the two nights, it felt more like a home than a vacation spot. Absolutely stunning surroundings and was supplied with essentials that most places never supply.
The weather wasn’t that got to be able to enjoy the pool and hot tub

ONE STAR We were in Brandon for a hockey weekend tournament and primarily chose this rental as a place to relax ourselves and our bodies after games in the hot tub. After the first day of an extremely long day of travel we found the hot tub cold and flashing an error code. No big deal, I understand things go wrong and requested direction to make sure there wasn't something we needed to do on our end and the owner was prompt to respond the next morning to "fix" it. Unfortunately, that night the tub was still not warm enough to sit in and was also too highly chlorinated. Again, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and wondered if it needed more time to heat up. By the third night of our four night stay the hot tub went back to flashing the error code and was cold. I told them that I would look forward to finding an agreeable compensatory solution to the inconvenience as we weren't able to use the rental for one of its main selling points. Instead of finding an agreeable solution I was called multiple times, berated, disrespected, and not even given the opportunity to speak as I was hung up on.
Here are a few other cons to be aware of, many of which I would have happily not minded had I not had the aforementioned customer service experience:
- The hot tub, obviously. If you're choosing this rental for this selling point be wary. It's a blow up hot tub, so our expectations were already low but we had still hoped it would be warm enough to enjoy.
- An unlisted $50 "early check in fee"
- While the rental seemed clean when we arrived, we did find bugs in the bed and my partner left with what is looking to be a nasty bite after our last night.
- The shower leaks and there is an increasing amount of mold growing in the bathroom
- The lights flickered the entire time we were there.
Here's what they offered me for the inconvenience:
1. They offered to "waive" the $50 early check in fee. Though, no where does it state that there is an early check in fee. I booked on booking.com and was instructed to reach out to see if we could check in two hours early. Their explanation for this was that this wouldn't be listed anywhere as this is "a nice thing they offer between guest services and the guest".... but, failing to mention that this nice thing they do will cost you an extra $50. So, an imaginary $50 not only wasn't an acceptable solution, but more upsetting.
-They also offered to refund me an additional $50 (Note: my total for this four night stay was near $1000 after fees). I told them that a $100 total refund would be acceptable. Still have not received ANY refund.
- I received a call from their guest services person to "clarify" what they were offering but, this was not a conversation it was a beratement. She just repeated herself, with increasing condescension, irritability, and tone. After letting her finish her tirade I tried to speak but I was quickly interrupted and scolded with "I'm not going to go back and forth with you", when she then repeated herself once again but even more rudely. I once again waited for my turn to speak after this tirade but when I started to speak I was then HUNG. UP. ON. So, not only was I not offered the chance to speak and find any agreeable solution, my intention, I was disrespected, dismissed, and left feeling more upset than necessary.

this is a brand new beautifully decorated studio apartment.
check out being 10 am is unreasonable for the price we paid stripping the bed when we pay a hefty cleaning fee. there’s no toaster and not even salt and pepper.
