We loved our stay here. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They spent time talking to us about the ranch and letting us pet all the animals. Also, the ranch is so close to both Santa Ynez and Los Olivos town. recommend to anyone looking to spend some time wine tasting or to families looking to have an animal farm experience.

Enchanting visit at a fantastic location. Accomodations were perfect - spotless and comfortable. Surrounded by animals - sheep, pigs, cats, and dogs. Visiting with the horses was a wonderful plus in a beautiful ranch surrounding. The owner was just marvelous when we arrived an always available for us. We cant wait for our next visit.

We had an amazing stay at Lone Sheep. The rooms were spacious and had comfy beds! The open floor plan was great for all of us to gather around for a glass of wine. We didn't get you to use the jacuzzi but definitely will next time! I would recommend this stay to anyone interested in going to the Santa Ynez or Los Olivios area! Thank you again!

The location is wonderful, located on a family owned, working horse ranch/property. The grounds are well kept, quiet, and relaxing with places to sit and enjoy the sunsets or sunrises! Owners Susan and Alex were easy to work with, are welcoming, and made sure all was well throughout the stay. It’s obvious they take pride in the property which was clean and stocked with necessities. Susan even made sure we had some snacks and items for breakfast on arrival should we need them. The Ranch is within minutes of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Solvang…take your pick of shopping, wine tasting, good food, the casino, and much more to enjoy! Our tip…venture out but definitely take advantage of the well equipped kitchen/bbq and enjoy time at the ranch with family or friends like we did!

This home is stunningly beautiful and very clean/well maintained. The property is lovely and we really enjoyed all of the animals we were able to meet. The location is also fantastic. Susan and Alex were great to work with and super responsive and helpful. I highly recommend staying here and hope to return again soon!

Lone Sheep Ranch exceeded all expectations, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! Beautiful home and ranch, with close access to nearby Los Olives, Solvang, and Santa Ynez. Clean, comfortable with 3 large bedrooms that more than met the needs of the 5 of us staying. We highly recommend, and will definitely be back to stay again.

The house accommodations are immaculate and with very tasteful interior design. Everything has been well thought through. All very clean and comfortable. Great kitchen where my kids and I were able to put together a full Father’s Day brunch, including Eggs Benedict for seven, homemade hollandaise and all! But honestly, what sets this property apart in outside the house. The breathtaking surroundings and visiting with all the animals. We all need a moment like this in our lives, where you can just be. We’re already planning our next visit to get ahead of the booking battles that are sure to be in issue as the word spreads about this gem. Thanks Susan and Alex for making my daughters commencement even more memorable 😀

We had a great time staying with Susan and Alex. The hosts were so friendly and helpful upon arrival. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the animals on the farm, it was so memorable. The house was in great shape and spacious. Plenty of outdoor areas to relax with a glass of wine and watch the kids play. It was also in a great location and so close to downtown SY, Solvang and Los Olives. The rooms are a little bright in the morning, so I'd recommend bringing an eye mask if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay! We will be back for sure.

What an amazing experience! The property was beautiful and the home was exceptional. We had a the rehearsal dinner on the property that kicked off our wedding weekend. I highly recommend the Lone Sheep Ranch and the delightful hosts!

Alex and Susan exceeded our expectations! The house was extremely clean and very thoughtfully furnished with everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including a well stocked refrigerator. They also provided us with fresh eggs from their chickens. They both took their time to make sure that our encounter with their animals was fabulous. Alex and Susan are truly gracious hosts. We had a wonderful time on our stay at Lone Sheep Ranch. The owners were lovely hosts - so welcoming, friendly, and easy to communicate with. The house was perfect. Well equipped and appointed, tastefully decorated, light, airy, comfortable. Our whole group (teens through grandparents) were pleased. The ranch itself is a beautiful setting and so fun to have all the animals around. We couldn't have been happier.

Every detail of the property was well thought out. It was a wonderful experience for both children and adults! The owners were incredibly generous with their time and patient with the children.

Beautiful, spotless, comfortable house that had everything we needed. Susan and Alex were very accommodating hosts. Kids had a great time petting the horses, pigs, chickens and sheep. Close to towns and wineries.

This property is very special. The location is fantastic. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. The house is perfect - well-furnished, comfortable, clean and charming. The hot tub provided a welcome respite at the end of each day. The kids will remember their interactions with the sweet animals (especially the pigs) for years to come! We are all looking forward to a return visit.

I love being able to walk to all the great restaurants in Santa Ynez. The house is even nicer than it appears in the pictures. The entire ranch property is beautiful. As you enter the property, keep an eye out for Smoky the sheep. You’ll probably see him hanging out with one of his horse friends. If you see Susan on the property, you should ask her if you can give the pigs a treat. But don’t forget to make them sit like nice pigs first. So much fun.

Our stay at the ranch was so much more than we could have imagined. Alex and Susan are wonderful hosts. The 3 bedroom house accommodated our entire family ranging from 7 weeks old baby to 90 year old great grandmother. The beautifully decorated house has all the necessary amenities and so much more. Very comfortable beds as well as all the comforts of home. The grounds are pristine…perfect for great photo opps! The horses, pigs, chickens and sheep give you the real feel of being on a ranch. Wine tasting is just a short bike ride away as well as the cute Santa Ynez town. We will definitely be back for another great getaway. I highly recommend this property!!
