My husband and I stayed here after a 2 week car trip in France. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city, walking distance to everything. It was very convenient to have access to a washer and dryer. The beds and bathrooms were clean but the kitchen could use a little attention. Dry goods and other foods left on counters and cupboards.(ie. 3 partially used olive oil bottles) uses up all the little counter space there is. Although there are 2 ‘bathrooms’ (sink &shower) there is only one toilet and it is downstairs. Anyone using the upper bedroom will need to go down the spiral staircase to the toilet. A little difficult communicating with the host. We were given wrong code to the key box but things were resolved. You can pull your car up to the door in an alleyway and back it out. As stated there is a free city parking a 15-min walk away. Would consider staying here again.

This apartment was perfect for our Burgundy stay. We walked everywhere in town and on the outskirts too. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and the rooftop deck is attractive and has a nice rooftop view. Free, patrolled, parking (Bretonnière) is a 7 minute walk. There’s a closer lot, Louis Very, that we used to walk our luggage from-since a car was blocking the tiny alley the apartment faces. The host was kind and accommodating and came by to orient us. Washer and dryer are great! Note that there are shower rooms up and down but the toilet is downstairs. All modern nice. Beds comfy. We’d stay there again! Easy driving to so many things in the region and Beaune is a delightful town.

Property is clean and well located.

Such a cozy place, everything is spotless. The bed was vey comfortable. Our host came to visit us upon our request to inquire about places to see and restaurants too. Benjamin was extremely helpful, had a great time just talking with him. I would return back to his property in a heart beat. The town was exciting, lots of history. Make no mistake, ya gotta go to his place.

Benjamin is a great host. Met us at the train and introduced us to Gites de Remparts. A superb location and a beautiful apartment.
All the amenities as per the listing. The rooftop veranda is without compare.
And Benjamin has an outstanding knowledge of Burgundian history and the great wines of the region.
I highly recommend a stay at this grear VRBO.

The home was well maintained and clean. The manager provided great restaurant recommendations and the location could not be beat! Overall a great experience.

The apartment was comfortable and the AC was much appreciated during the hot days of July. The host was responsive by phone and even took us to the train station because taxis and buses are NON EXISTENT! Be sure to drive to Beaune when you visit this charming property.

Great place to stay to be close to everything at a walking distance. Beaune is a beautiful city and I would stay at this place again with no hesitation. Clean, practical and as per pictures

Location was great. Had a fully stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer that was much needed after 12 days.
Only suggestion would be to give the proper code for the door before arrival so guests do not have to reach out and wonder if they are in the right locaion when the code does not work.

Ideally situated in a quiet setting in centre of town with the best equipped kitchen we have ever encountered. Enjoyed our stay very much , especially sitting and eating on the terrace. Only disappointment was that downstairs windows had to have blinds down all the time for privacy and security. An alternative screen to the roll down blind would allow natural light inside. Google maps couldn't find the property on the Remparts. Suggest anyone driving there sets destination as Hotel de Cep. Rempart entrance is on right at barrier on street just before this.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment! Plenty of space and the balcony was such a treat.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Beaune apartment. You can’t pull up to the entrance, but there is a large day lot nearby, and you walk a block, including some stairs, to get to the entrance. It is on the old city wall, literally! There is a basement 2 floors down that looks like an old vault-I think the owner uses it for wine tasting. Just fascinating! Anyway, there are a lot of pedestrians going by as they take the walk along the city wall. (It’s an easy, enjoyable walk). We kept the shades closed often because people could look in, but that didn’t bother us too much.
The unit was comfortable. We were glad to have a/c. There is a washer and dryer as well, accessed by another door just outside of the main unit. There is only one toilet, on the main floor, but showers in both bedrooms. My husband and I opted to stay downstairs, giving our teen some much needed space upstairs. There was a “handbook” with instructions for the appliances, helpful local information and emergency services.
I especially enjoyed the deck. I popped out in the morning, a short walk, to get pastries, and brewed coffee in the apartment. There is a small grocery store within walking distance as well.
Many good restaurants nearby at all price ranges. If you enjoy shopping, Beaune has many boutiques nearby. The market on Saturday is huge. We would have liked more time to enjoy that.
Benjamin showed us options for parking, including a free option along the footpath near the main ring road. I know there are garages as well. The only time we used the car was to visit a winery. It was about a 7 minute walk from one side of the town center to the other.
If we came to Beaune again I would look here first. Reasonably priced, close to many things and a comfortable space.

We enjoyed this flat very much. We had 2 adult children who stayed in the downstairs bedroom, and had the "master" bedroom upstairs. Only one bathroom downstairs, but not a deal killer. Location is great within the city, and close to free parking areas. Host was very friendly and helpful. The unit has a utility closet that has a good washer AND DRYER, which was great for us as we needed to wash clothes badly at that stage of the trip and didnt have time to wait for them to air dry. The terrace is wonderful perk. There are some areas of the unit that get full sun in the morning, so need to find ways to blackout those but again not a big deal. We loved it

Fantastic location in the city center. You honestly couldn't pick a better location. Benjamin is a great host and always had excellent recommendations. He and his team keep very clean properties (I stayed at 2 of them!). Well equipped with everything you need. It does technically have 2 baths, but only one toilet which is on the ground floor. This was not a problem for us. Would stay again!

Very nice property on the old ramparts of the city's original wall. Close to almost everything including bakery, restaurants, wine bars and all the local historic sites. Easy walk to the park and then out the back gate to the wine country trails.

It was delightful. As noted, there is just one bathroom, which is down some steep stairs. We ended up sleeping downstairs as it was most convenient but just LOVED the terrace upstairs and ate breakfast there every day. It was very nice to have some tranquility and yet be walking distance from so many great restaurants. The location is unbeatable

Terrific space, great facilities particularly outside terrace. Right in centre of town just behind Hospice, couldn’t be better location

We cannot say enough nice comments about Benjamin and this property. It was perfect. We hope to return soon.

This is a modernized and moderately sized attached house in the medieval town center of Beaune France. The house itself has all modern equipment ... kitchen, showers and washing machine. It is situated on a small street that is quiet. The outdoor roof patio featured in the advertisements is exactly as shown, providing a private and peaceful way to enjoy some of the town’s rooftop architecture.WiFi is included and it worked well. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with pots, pans, and dinner ware. The only down side, Benjamin the proprietor mentions, is that there is one toilet ... which is downstairs. So if you intend on using the upstairs bedroom you will need to traverse some very steep stairs to reach the toilet. We used the downstairs bedroom. We were delighted to have found this place which enhanced our one week stay in Beaune tremendously. We heartily recommend it to anyone ... if we return to Beaune we will certainly be looking to stay at Benjamin’s Gite on des Ramparts.Rob and JoAnn

The apartment is centrally located in Beaune with a lovely sunny roof terrace. All you need is within walking distance. The apartment is very well equipped down to the small details. Beyond the basics as towels, toilet paper etc. you will find cotton, spices, a large selection of teas, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. There has been put a kind thought into all the details and the atmosphere is very welcoming! We would love to come back!

A great little hideaway and the best possible location in Beaune. Fully equipped, comfortable and quiet. I would absolutely come back.
4.7
There were 2 of us staying in the house and we had plenty of space. When it became cooler it was very pleasant to have our morning coffee on the terrace. The kitchen was well equipped and had basic pantry items. I appreciated large shower rooms.
The host was helpful and willing to accommodate us. His suggestions re restaurants were spot on and we enjoyed those restaurants very much. We would definitely stay in this house again, especially when it is not so hot!

Wonderful place and excellent host. Perfect for a couple's get away. My wife and I stayed for an extended weekend in Beaune. The gite was perfect. We spent the day exploring the wine producers and great food in town, with most evenings on the rooftop terrace enjoying local cheese, terrines, bread, and wine. The whole town is within a short walk, and the Saturday market is a must. The host's insights on not only the restaurants, but also the wineries in the region, were invaluable in our visit. We highly recommend the place, and we will likely try to stay in the same place the next time we travel to Beaune

Our host was very helpful and friendly, going out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The private roof terrace really makes this place special.
4.7
Extremely thoughtful design. Spotless - not a scuff on the walls. Comfy beds and linens, new radiators that worked really well. Great location - near everything but super quiet because it is on a tiny no car alley/street. Great hot water and water pressure which is always appreciated. Little helpful things like umbrellas, shopping bags, maps, tourbooks, enough TP for our stay, towels warmers, nice shower heads and even a heated toilet seat. Lots of detail and thought went into this redesign. The space is very efficient. Benjamin was a very helpful host and responsive to any questions we had - very nice guy. He also recommended restaurants that we enjoyed. Loved Ma Cuisine! Can't wait to stay again.
4.7
The gite it's self was small but more than adequate for 2 to 3 people It has been newly refurbished, it is spotless . Well equipped kitchen, but no need to cook because you are steps away from fabulous restaurants . Again our host Benjamin went up and beyond himself to make sure that we were comfortable. I would highly recommend this place

We stayed 5 nights in gite des remparts. The gite is perfectly located in a very quiet, small street (you almost feel like a local) away from the main tourist sites, but very close to restaurants, interesting food shops and the market square. The gîte was comfortable with a well equipped, but compact yet practical kitchen. The 2 bathrooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Broadband wi-fi was good and reliable. The terrace is just fantastic, especially after a day full of activities in Burgundy. Recommended!

My husband and I stayed in this gîte for 3 nights in November 2016. We were met by our host Benjamin who was very helpful. The gîte itself was comfortable and well equipped with a compact yet practical kitchen. The location was perfect - close to the historic centre of beautiful Beaune yet whisper quiet. The parking spot was a real bonus. Would highly recommend.
