What a great house and location! Morning coffee on the deck and relaxing in the hot tub at night became our daily routine. Super clean and lovely amenities. Communication with the host was excellent. I would highly recommend!

We loved to house and the location. Close to restaurants and shops in Bird Rock.

First and foremost, the house and view is beautiful. The La Jolla location makes it a convenient, central location to visit downtown SD, Coronado, La Jolla beaches, PB & Torrey Pines. The neighborhood is quiet and clean and having a driveway/garage to park in was nice. The inside of the home has been updated and had everything we needed. We used the sofa bed and left the bed out the entire time we were there and still had plenty of space to move around in the living area between the 5 of us. The bedrooms were clean and beds comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing and wonderful at the end of a long day of activities and the view of the ocean was amazing. The only issue we had was with the master bath. Every time we used the shower a horrible sewage smell came from the drain. By the end of the stay it was coming from the sink drain as well. We ended up switching to the secondary baths at the end of our stay. The house has a septic system, it seems it may need repairs. If owners fix that, everything would be perfect. I still give this house 5 stars, everything else was so great.

Very nice location with great views. The house was very clean. Austin or Oscar (not sure about the name) from the management company was great and went above and beyond to accommodate our family and answer any questions.

Great house for five. The porch with it’s view was the highlight. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Fifteen minute walk to the beach. Very clean.

My whole family loved this rental, the view on the deck alone will bring us back. Hot tub was used everyday, clean, great oven for cooking and comfy beds. This is a quiet spot but quick walk to beach, can't wait to come back.

Porch, fire pit, hot tub was so nice. Home is lovely- spacious kitchen, all necessities present upon arrival. Cleanliness was a 3; not as fresh and clean as advertised. No issues that needed to be addressed while we were there, so that was great! Wasn’t thrilled about the fact that we couldn’t check in early, even though when we drove by, no one was there cleaning or anything. Not sure why we couldn’t have checked in before 4. Overall- lovely home that helped make a wonderful trip with amazing family bonding time.

This house is very nice and the size great for our family of 5. It was very clean and all as pictured online. Two things would have made the stay perfect. 1. Have ceiling fans in the 3 bedrooms or fans in the closets of all bedrooms provided as it did get warm sleeping. One bedroom had a floor fan used the 1st night. We went and bought another fan for the master bedroom the next day and left it at the house since we couldn't fly home with it as it was warm and very uncomfortable sleeping the 1st night. Our sons didn't have a fan at all and didn't sleep well as it was warm. We kept the a/c at the 72 degrees which is the lowest it said to turn the thermostat down to. We did not open windows when the a/c was on as noted not to. We have some allergies in the family so did not want to sleep with the windows open all night and there was noise heard when we did try to open the windows instead of using the a/c. The small window in one bedroom did not open at all when we were going to try that one night in that room that didn't have any fan at all. We did not want to leave the big sliding window open all night so didn't try to open it when the small didn't open at all. 2. The master bath shower smelled like sewer/rotten eggs when you turned on the water and then smelled after showering in the bathroom when getting ready. We are guessing the drain may just need cleaned out in the shower for this smell. The jack and jill bathroom tub shower was good and the other water faucets didn't have this smell. Besides the warmth and master bath shower smell, the house was great. If it could just be a little cooler sleeping, it would be perfect.

The house was just like the photos and very clean and comfortable with a great deck and great views.

This house was a perfect place to vacation in San Diego.

We stayed here with my elderly parents for Easter. We enjoyed the view, location, and ability to cook meals. The view is amazing and the hot tub was a nice added feature to enjoy during our visit. My husband and I could walk to the beach, but it too much of an incline for my parents. We would definitely stay again.

Location good, clean, need to address some maintenance issues. Screens for window must always b dust free for air to flow . Only 1fan for 3rooms!?? Can’t open windows at nite becos nxt to road n very loud traffic passing if it’s a warm nite!??

We enjoyed staying at this property with our 18month old. Great communication with the property manager, when we checked in the hot tub was pretty dirty, but they were able to get some one out to get it cleaned by the next day.

We had a lovely time in the house, and communication with the property owners was excellent. The sunset from the deck was spectacular. An easy walk to the beach and drivable to everything. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was perfectly suited for our family. Everyone had their own living space and the communal space was perfect. The deck is an added bonus to watch the sunsets from. There was difficulty in getting the oven to light and the rental agency sent someone over right away with instructions. It was finicky throughout our stay but worked. We enjoyed our time here and would rent it again!

Wonderful home, beautiful location, superb management, and friendly neighbors. This home was one of the most clean rentals I’ve had. Plenty of space. Appliances worked, jacuzzi was huge and amazing, and the location was perfect. The home had plenty of paper towels and trash bags to ensure cleanliness. Showers/bathrooms had no issues. Management was considerate and attentive. I could go on and on. We didn’t want to leave! I would certainly come back. Our car wouldn’t start when it was time to check out, and the neighbor was courteous enough to find jumper cables and help us jump our car. I’m amazed by the experience we had. Please treat this home with respect! It’s top-tier.

We had a lovely week's stay at Candlelight. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. The furnishings are stylish and impeccably clean. The beds are the most comfortable of any of the rentals I've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in many) and the linens so soft. The view from the deck was very nice and our daughters enjoyed the hot tub. I appreciated that they had beach towels and chairs for us there to use. Be aware though the beach is not really within walking distance. It's a short drive but other than that it is in a good location. Only a few blocks from a grocery. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within a short drive. It is also very close to La Jolla if you want to go see the sea lions and the amazing views. Nice quiet neighborhood. We had a problem with the hot tub but the rental company was very responsive and had a technican out within a few hours. Overall I would recommend!

This house was perfect for 2 families. House was clean, close to the beach and just as described! The house had plenty of beach gear, towels, etc. I would definitely recommend and stay again if we are ever in the La Jolla area!
