This was the perfect house for 3 ladies to hang out and catch up. Huge deck that had constant shade. Roomy main areas of the house that were spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. Convenient to local restaurants and not far from 65. The river/lake area is just over the hill and within close view.The best part- dog friendly!! We would stay here again.

What an incredible place to stay. This home offers everything. The lake was a hit for our kids. They spent a few days laying in the sun and floating in tubes. The deck was nice and cool with the mature trees surrounding the backyard. Our family loved every minute here. The house was clean and inviting. We can't wait to come back!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty of room for our group. It was nice to have a boat dock for our pontoon. Any issues we had were resolved quickly by the property owners.

This home was perfect for our family of 10! Enough beds, sheets, towels, sundries, and coffee supplies! Older home but well maintained and very clean. Owners responded quickly to all inquiries. We’ll definitely stay there again!

This is an ideal location for adults looking for a quiet getaway with a spectacular view, which peers down approximately 50' to the river which is accessible via steep cinder block stairs etched into the landscape. The well laid out cottage is very comfortable and close to restaurants and shopping. The cottage was also nicely appointed with cooking utensils and bathroom supplies. We had a great time! Dennis, Marge, Eric, and Paul.

Nice and neat place with plenty sleeping arrangements. Love the location, quiet and secluded! Love the backyard set up where we can just sit outside listening to wild birds singing!

Property was clean! We enjoyed being not too far away from Purdue and Indianapolis on our weekend trip to see the total eclipse with our friends. We were able to comfortably cook dinner every night. A few of our friends did wish the pillows were more supportive.

Chose this property to take father to Purdue/Ohio State football game. Picked location based on it's riverside position and ability to sleep 4 adults comfortably plus ease of access to Purdue. Property was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. It allowed us all to hang out comfortably in one location and was equal to or less than the cost of the hotels closer to the stadium. Binder of property info and directions was detailed and user friendly. Wished the stairs down to river were a bit more stable.

About 40 beautiful county driving minutes from Purdue. Wonderful weekend getaway, or in our case, family weekend at Purdue. Our son enjoyed staying with us and getting away from campus for a few days. Great location in Monticello right on Lake Freeman. Deck and patio combine for the perfect, tranquil setting under large, mature trees and natural landscape down to the dock. Morning coffee never felt so right. House is clean and quaint, with all your basic amenities, plus a nice TV, board games and kitchen essentials. Lots of natural light, plus rooms are all well equipped with ample, touch lamps. Grocery store only a few minutes away. Neighborhood is nice a quiet with everyone having fairly large lots. Eager to return. You’ll enjoy your stay here!

This was an amazing stay. Very secluded and quiet which I enjoyed. The view was darling. Spacious, the couch was so comfortable. Teresa had everything if you forgot anything !! Which was a blessing. I loved the dock. watch your step tho as instructed. The patio was lovely very big. We didn't get a chance to use our movie projector (Next time ;) ) but we loved this house....A GEM !! Great for families although you must watch your children out back its a steep drop down to the lake. The host were nice, the never bothered us. Great view. Right on the river. Close to so much with a short drive. We felt away. Worth it! Bring your floaties. Fish if that's your thing.

We stay as a 10 person multi-family group frequently at VRBO properties. This home was very clean. The kitchen isn't well stocked if you want to cook for a group. The outdoor spaces are very pleasant to sit and the view is fantastic. As others mentioned, the walk down to the water is steep. The path has a sturdy rail & good lighting. There is no ladder on the dock to get in or out of the water. We found sitting on the pier to be a quiet & peaceful spot. The house is a solid value and we would stay again.

The property was very clean and everything was pro ides as shown on the listing. Contactong propert owners was easy as well. Out famuky enjoyed every minute.

We just got back from a long weekend and had the time of our lives. I have a large family, and 8 of my 10 children attended, ranging in ages from 32 to 12 year old twins. My 75 year old mother also came with us. The house was perfect. I could live there forever. Whoever owned it originally obviously loved it as you can tell in the details, from sweet tiles and handles in the kitchen to the craftsmanship on the deck. The house was very roomy for our clan, and we had room to play wiffel ball on the front lawn and fish in the river outback. We spent one day at the amusement park, and it was nice to be able to return “home” to rest a bit and then return to the park in the evening. Two sons drove to Tippecanoe State Park one morning and were back for lunch. They loved it! There is a lot of east access to stores for supplies, and downtown Monticello is close and charming. Check out the Drive-in, too. It has current shows and is neat as a pin. The Emericks are wonderful and receptive and thought of everything. Other places we enjoyed locally was Skippers ice cream shop, Abe’s Pizza that we had delivered and the USA restaurant. We had family who didn’t get to stay the entire time, but when they did come, parking was very ample. My butt cheeks hurt from the steps down to the river, but they were fun and unique, too. The railing was sturdy and well thought out. I loved the glass bricks on the vestibule. I already miss the decks were we enjoyed the view, birds and squirrels.

Very clean house in a wonderful quiet neighborhood. Very beautiful wooded area. Sunset off the river is beautiful. Having coffee on the deck is so peaceful.

We had 12 people here and had plenty of space. The stairs are absolutely insane though not going to lie. We had everything we needed in the house. definitely comfortable for the weekend.

Great location to Indiana Beach and shopping centers. Nice view of the lake. Could use some more comfortable mattress but other than that the house was great.

It was a beautiful home. Enjoyed our time there. There was a leak in the pipes and they handled that great.

The property was very clean and very spacious. It was secluded enough to not feel like the neighbors were breathing down our necks, but so close to town that trips to the store took less than 5 minutes to get there. Owners were very communicative and quick to respond! Would 100% book again
