Nothing apart from the location

Booked a room for one night through bookings, after paying the non refundable fee I was texted by the owner that it was a room in a shared apartment not a room in a hotel, an important info that was never mentioned in the facilities page. After arriving to the place coming from Alexandria I contacted the owner so I would be accommodated only to find him telling me that if I wanted an air conditioned room I would have to pay almost double what I already paid, I told him that I already booked a room with AC but he told me that it was a confusion with the application bookings, and even though it was not for any mistake of mine he refused to accommodate me until I paid more money which I was forced to do since It was late and I wouldn’t be able to find another place … A shameless attitude of bargaining with customers to pay more money for something they already paid for and forcing their hands to do so … beware of being hustled to pay for things like an AC or the use of the tv And as for the room itself the pillow cases smelt of sweat and the hygiene of the place was below standards, the toilet didn’t even have toilet papers and the room had a duvet so small that can only cover you if you slept like a mummy A very bad experience
