The front desk personnel were very friendly and efficient. Also, the room was clean, well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast buffet had a great selection of local and western dishes and featured delicious fruits. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little hotel. Main issue was the Chinese guest at breakfast take all the food, they then pack into bags to consume during the day. Selfless.

Very nice staff, however management was completely incompetent. On Wednesday morning the milk was spoiled and made me sick. Many other guests complained about the sour milk, but management was extremely slow responding to the problem. Management proved conclusively that they don’t care about the guests at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was absolutely horrible. The ONLY breakfast food available was fried eggs cooked HARD and served COLD. There was no scrambled eggs, no over easy eggs, no bacon, no ham, no sausage, no potatoes, no beans, no juice, nothing…. ……just fried eggs cooked HARD and served COLD in a huge disgusting pile. This hotel has the WORST breakfast buffet that I have ever experienced. And management proved their incompetence by not checking expiration dates on the milk, resulting in sick guests. And management simple didn’t care about the problem. AVOID this hotel!

Riverside Hotel is on one of the best streets in Viantain. The room is good and the staff is incredibly friendly.

Good value for the area and hotel standard. The area is convenient to all the restaurants, riverside and the night market. What really shine is the staff. Always courteous and accommodating. Some of the staff have a high level of English and others make a great effort when communication is an issue for non-Lao speaking guests. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel's staff is very courteous and responsive. morning breakfast offers a diverse menu of delicious well prepared foods. young cooks are very attentive, constantly making rounds of the dining area assuring that foods are well suppled and fresh. Overall, our stay was pleasant exceeding expectations. Great value for the price.

Best stay and would book again. Rooms are on the small side but I expected that. We had a window but some rooms don’t. There was a strong smell of cleaner, or my Thai GF, said it was some chemical to deter bugs. It stayed in the room until about midnight and then went away. Weird. Breakfast is basic but tasty. They had fried eggs and some meat. Better options right down the flattery at French bakery. City center and walkable to most things in that area.

THEY KICKED US OUT!! We booked for 2 nights at this hotel through Expedia in November 2023. One day before our arrival, Expedia sent us a reminder email about our reservation like check-in time etc Upon reaching the hotel for check-in, we were informed that our booking was canceled, despite never canceling it ourselves. After some discussion, the hotel allowed us to stay for 1 night but informed us of a room change the next day. The next day, to our dismay, the replacement room offered was not as per our initial booking - a Superior room with a balcony. Instead, they suggested a smaller room without a private bathroom, which had a noticeable stale odor. We declined the offer. After speaking with the manager, they allowed us to keep staying in our room for that night. However, less than 2 hours, the hotel staff insisted we move again. So, go ahead and book this hotel if you’re yearning for a holiday filled with delightful surprises like canceled reservations, unexpected room changes, and the sweet aroma of neglect lingering in your room.

Nice, clean hotel next to the night market. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance. The rate was very competitive.

Didn’t like that there’s no handwash soap in bathroom sink, no trash bin in main room so have to use only one small trash bin inside bathroom.

The staff are the real stars of Riverside Hotel. And the excellent location. The room itself served all our needs - clean, wifi, hot water, aircon. I would def stay there again.

My room was superb I had a suite which was everything you could expect. I only had one small issue I couldn't get any hot water for a shower 🚿 could have been my fault but I tried for 15 minutes anyway I was only there for one night so not a big deal.
