New hotel, only opened in June. Improving service after initial wobbles. Really comfy bed. Aircon in rooms. Quieter at front of hotel, facing car park.

Paying for parking - how else do I get there but by car ? Wine very expensive. Could be better selection of cold options at breakfast (eg smoked salmon or ham).

I liked that it was absolutely clean, comfortable and classy. It was an emergency booking, so my expectation was low, however, I was blown away when I and my husband checked in. We did not eat breakfast

I liked everything about Ty Newport.

Staff brilliant and so welcoming, couldn’t do enough for us.

We had an unplanned stop in Newport and came across this place in the booking.com app. They luckily had a family room available and are open 24/7 so we could check in when we arrived well after midnight. We were greated by very friendly staff and thst continued during our stay. At breakfast and at the front desk when we checked out (nice: check out possible until 11). The hotel was quite recently built and everything in the room was great (good shampoo and soap) We slept so well and recovered from and exhausting day perfectly. The breakfast buffet was phantastic. Fry up, croissant, cereal, fresh fruits. And the choice of coffees including in decaf. All presented by very helpful and friendly staff. There was a lot we didn’t even take advantage of: The bar downstairs looked well stocked. There was a beach bar outside. There was a swimming pool and spa available. And a kids‘ playroom. I would like to go there and wouldn‘t look for anything else.

Parking should be free but cost 10 pounds per night

Hotel is wonder, staff are brilliant, very cheerful, very helpful and I enjoyed having a laugh with them. Rooms are very very nice and so comfortable! The beds are out of this world.

I dont think the menu ( bar and restaurant) choices are very good. The ingredients are of decent quality and well prepared, but for what they are, its very over priced and the dishes are somewhat strange, my opinion is that its not Mediterranean inspired as stated, just seems to be a bit of a mess and doesn’t match the personality of the hotel. I would have liked to have seen more Welsh beers and ciders on the pumps rather than things like Brixton Pale ale, there are far better ales available from local and regional brewers, I think this lets the hotel down.
