I was able to snag a room here at a very reasonable rate, much lower than one might expect of your typical 5-star property, and at that price point, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is amazing, the building is beautiful, and I very much enjoyed the main lobby and food service there. However, from a physical plant and service perspective, the hotel is a little uneven, and I would not consider it on par with top notch properties. Biggest issues include: mattress was serviceable, but definitely showing its age; service was uneven… no one asked me if I needed a cab at check out, and porters were largely MIA; I observed various maintenance failures, including the fact that the lights in 2/3 stalls in one of the public restrooms didn’t work.

Check in was seamless. Staff spoke English. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very modern and clean bathroom. Some noise one night. Superb location.

The air conditioning wasn’t working. The gave me a portable fan the first night. The second night, still not working,it was very hard and uncomfortable to me and my family members

This was the Provincial Hospice of Oviedo (1752), now a very pleasant and elegant hotel. Very convenient to the center of Oviedo (which seems like a nice and prosperous town). Our room was large and comfortable. Hotel has its own parking (which was usable, for a change). Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Internet connection was good. I would definitely stay here again.
