Nice place overall. My mini-fridge was howling all night. In the hotel’s defense I did not call to have the problem remediated.

The hotel is outdated and needs alot of work. The room I stayed in was subpar. The furniture was old and banged up. One of the walls had damage and bad patch work. The bathroom had mold around the tub. There was rust on the panels of the ceiling in the bathroom as well. I will not stay at this place again.

My only complaint was the bed frame as not comfortable and the pillows were mushy at best. Breakfast Buffet was wonderful! All staff friendly

The staff is very polite, professional and accommodating. The hotel is clean, safe and well maintained. The outside of the property is a little run down, but safe and clean. The jacuzzi was empty and being repaired during our stay ((8/23-8/25), but the pool was open, clean and well maintained. It is obvious this hotel used to be a destination. Now I would consider it one of the best kept secrets in Decatur. We are already booked to return later this month.

They charged $25 extra dollars without telling me. Then when I questioned the unexpected charges, I was told they were "holder fees" for potential damages after i had already checked out. I was never told about these potential charges or did it say anything in the details of booking. They also refused to give me a receipt at the time of check out. I will be disputing these charges with my bank.

We had made reservations, but when we saw the property and the room, we decided not to stay. The place looks almost abandoned. There is also gambling on the property, which made me uncomfortable, since we had small children with us. There was trash under the sink and people loitering in the parking lot. It didn't seem like a safe part of town. The desk person was friendly and helpful, though, and they allowed us to cancel our reservation after the deadline.

The hotel was older but nice. The room was clean & comfortable. Pool is inside but not heated and needed some cleaning. Talking to the staff Covid hit them hard & they are trying to make it back.

There was a domestic disturbance in the room right next to us that was physical and verbal. Front service staff shrugged it off like it was nothing, tried making a joke about the domestic situation going on in the hotel. We asked for the cops to be called for the safety of the couple and no one showed up. Another guest that was above the disturbance also came to the lobby to complain as well. Was moved to a different room that had blood on the floor and crusty brown stains on the sheets. The room also smelled awful.

They moved our room and it was not the king bed we needed. The supervisor was very kind and told us she would refund all our money. We have yet to see it. As It has been charged to our card. $406. From the moment we walked in the receptionist was very pleasant, she checked us in quickly, explained things to us quickly then off to our room for a quick shower and a relaxing evening of watching T.V. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. What else could you ask for. We left before they served breakfast, but my husband said they were beginning to set it up and it smelled wonderful. The receptionist told us tge night before that it was a full breakfast buffet. Wow. Sorry we had to leave so early. Hopefully next time were in the area we can stay for breakfast. No complaints.
